Thank you for that awesome video it was very well made, I was shocked how good that fish stores fish were, I would have spent a whole pay packet in there, any how just to let you know I did have eye surgery which has fixed my issue, I had cataracts so I had the lenses replaced, I still need to wear glasses but at least I can drive again and look at my shrimp. 👍
Dear Colin Barsby: I’ve been subscribed to Daniel Keeping Fish and Marks Shrimp Tanks, for years. I’ve also corresponded with both of these, fine gentlemen, via email. They have given me terrific advice. I do adore cherry shrimp (Neocaridina davidi). They are probably the easiest, nano shrimp to keep and breed. I haven’t branched out to color variants, apart from red. I’m concentrating on improving my line, to add spice, to my aquascapes. Thank you for sharing this, interesting and informative video. I do appreciate Cherax destructor. But, I tend to shy away from aggressive species. All my best, Sincerely, E. J. Brinegar
Hello Colin, nice to meet you via this video, I’ve been subbed to Daniel and mark for quite some time, I can’t believe I’ve not been here until now!, no worries it’s a good way to kick off the new year, thanks for this video, I am Jeff.
Thanks for the tip, I was thinking if I’m successful with shrimp keeping and breeding, then I will throw a few in my community tank to see how they go in there, because I do need a clean up crew in there to help the long fin panda corydoras.
Good to see another Aussie fish/shrimp YT channel, where abouts in Australia are you from mate? I’m out in western sydney, we’ve got petbarn instead of pet domain, kinda the same but still generic in terms of fish
Hi Kieryn, we're in Melbourne enjoying the colder weather and not so much the flooding. We are lucky to still have some dedicated aquarium stores as well as the big chain pet stores, but it's a matter of who is closer most of the time :)
Many years ago I kept yabbies with goldfish. It probably depends on the individual crustacean, as one of them would latch onto any fish that had the misfortune to get too close.
idk why but I'm not having luck with raising pleco fry in decent numbers. my batch of fry suddenly came down with white spots that resemble ich but isn't ich. currently treating with salt and protozin. old batch that I raised ages ago had something similar that was very lethal and i lost all my lovely green neons, but it was down to newbie mistakes

Lovely update Colin….and wonderful tour….used to raise those blue crayfish when I was Jack’s age and made a decent buck from them too….

Cherax destructor is an apt description of what they do to plants 😁😅
This shop is just around the corner I will have to check it out!
the fish prices are the lowest I've seen anywhere.
Tell them Aussie Aquatic sent you 😊👍🏻
Ah that's dead kind of you for the mention Colin, thanks. Glad it worked well for you and helped you enjoy your tanks more and in a different way.
Hi mate, you've got a special place in my heart always and forever :)
@@AussieAquatic ah very kind sir. Awfully glad to have made your acquaintance also mate. 💙

Hey Jeff,
G'day mate from the land Downunder.
Sounds like we're a similar vintage 😁👍

Go for it!
Nice to find a store that isn't gouching you
Honestly the prices I saw took me back 10 years!!!
those clown loaches are great. I hope to keep a crayfish from a food market as a single pet once I upgrade my betta from a 3 gallon to a 15 gallon
That is awesome!

I knew you were about to post one of these after seeing that post
Mark does love his crustaceans.......LOL :)

Yabbies will eat anything, from plants to whatever stays still. They do need careful tankmate selection 🙂👍
We would throw bags of sheep poo into the farm dams to feed the yabbies. They were not pets though...

so sorry to hear that, I think that fry raising system from master breeder Dean is a great way to grow-out fry with the best possible results.
Hey Barry 🙂👍
