It looks like it may be a pinkish color tone violet, I breed some of them years ago. But still to early to tell as the dark factor birds takes a longer time to me to get their solid color. Olive for instance
@Budgerigar simple in most birds You cann't tell sky violet from look at it What you need to do is find a mauve male to mate the mum ...wait for mauve outcome...and this is better than shouting to the stars a new mutation ...nope
I agree, the mother must be a violet cobalt or violet mauve. Her variety is making her look lighter than what she really is. But it is strange how dark the babies rump is and how grey the cheek patches are.
@@tomsmith7027 cheek patches are still silver but giving a slight violet shade as well now. Baby will be fully feather in another 7-10 days. Will share the his video then.
Love From Bangladesh ❤️🇧🇩❤️
Cheek patch in the mother and baby also indicates slate mutation in both of them
To produce male baby slate, Father needs to be split slate and he is not

Is that a ecb slate
Very nice budgie
I think a Cinnamon Violet Mauve maybe? The grey cheek patches maybe imply that she is SF anthricite?
Both parents need to carry at least one dark factor to produce mauve, but none of the parent is carrying a dark factor so not a mauve
Muy bueno toda la explicación te felicito 🇨🇺
Isn’t it possible she mate with other male in the flight before you put her in the cage with the skyblue? Excited to see this baby grow up
Not possible because this us her 2nd round with male and she has gone in flight now after 3 months
So the question is
are mommy and daddy related?
Nope
Mother is cobalt..no discussion
If mother is cobalt then where the violet factor in baby is coming from? She is violet sky, not a cobalt
