When I was still a student, my English said listening to PSB songs is just about the same having an English lessons. The lyrics is so grammatically written.
July 9th 1989 Wembley Arena. I was there after just finishing GCSEs. It was epic. I think that's JJ Belle the session guitarist (from Being Boring and Heart) dressed in the tux. Courtney Pine was at his epic best in that era. He had guested on Doctor Who the year before for Silver Nemesis the 25th Anniversary episode. Chris Lowe's synth rig was hugely complex for a live performance to replicate all their hits and trigger all the huge (for those days) orchestra samples for the song in particular.
That is not JJ Belle, same colour though.. Synth rig is large, not complex its mostly Akai samplers triggered by Roland sequencers, and the rest is Chris, Dominic Clarke, and the percussionist, and a bit too much Courtney Pine.
@@cappaculla On closer inspection it's not even though he was playing that night. It was hugely complex for a live show in 1989! With no wifi and limited HD redundancy. I have the original programme with the racks detailed in the loft. From what I remember in addition to the S950s and the Roland boxes he had 3 proteus racks too and an M1 EX and a load more . It was two double quad 19" racks on Ultimate KS stands plus the controller keyboards . About 16 rack units minimum . A lot of layers to manage and trigger from a decent but by today's standard limited controller keyboard! My A800 can do more than what was top of the range then :)

+Dan Najera This solo is amazing, but to have sax solos in every song of the concert was too much. Anyway... mythical concert...Never released in full in dvd format.
Incredible indeed so your British aye cool I love your accents wish I could have that in reality or be Italian so I can be a rich Cardinal with gaudy jewelry who publicly smokes in his robes in his early sixties hahaha. Those guys never suck at anything lol.
Assisti esse show há mais de 20 anos, mas o que foi editado quem viu se lembra foram poucas músicas essa por exemplo eu nunca vi neste show. obrigado por postar . muito bom maravilha
Can somone please confirm if that is 👈'Shabba Doo'👉 (The Original Lockers) from 'Breakin' playing Che? I recently watched the movie and i am sure it is him. I know he went on to choreograph many artists after the movie. Thanks.
If you think so, I respect your opinion, but others say the opposite as well as I am a big fan of PSB. Bieber I don't think he has the intelligence of a peanut to make songs that continue to amaze
That's because this is nearly 35 years old, and back then, that type of "robot" dancing was all the rage and relatively new for the time period. It is overdone here, but they do it well.
I've been following through this duo for 34 years, the first song I listened in summer of 1988 was West End girls! God Bless Chris & Neil!
In my book these guys are legends
One of the best 80,s bands ever..

What a masterpiece. Now I know the feeling of wishing that a song would never end, wishing it could just keep going. What talent. ❤
Directed by the venerable Derek Jarman. A marriage made in heaven.
Was it really?! Such talent. Check out ‘Dupuis Le Jour’ his short for ‘Aria’ Starr Tilda Swinton. ❤

Personally, I think Neil wants to be the Hugh Hefner of the stage. ;) Because old Hugh lives in his robe and housecoat. lol
Porque tuvieron q envejecer así .
Que pregunta? Ellos no deberian envejecer ...ojala Neil se hiciera un lifting y un implante capilar 😅

@@sqdth Hahaha, very funny!
Was this at the arena or stadium?

@@isaac44113 wena compare, aguante los pet shop
3:16 he singed the wrong lyrics :p
Everyone makes mistakes! Besides the song is great ^^ I think he handled it fine.
It's not a bug, it's a feature.
It looking like Saddam Hussein président of Irak
Just discovered this band today. Not quite as good as Bieber or a Stormzy
If you think so, I respect your opinion, but others say the opposite as well as I am a big fan of PSB. Bieber I don't think he has the intelligence of a peanut to make songs that continue to amaze
Agree!
Nice troll, too easy
I love pet shop boys but these gay dancers performance is pathetic,
That's because this is nearly 35 years old, and back then, that type of "robot" dancing was all the rage and relatively new for the time period. It is overdone here, but they do it well.
How do you know the dancers are gay?
Those dancers ( gay, straight, or anything else for that matter) are perfect for the song and era. The Pet Shop Boys are a class of their very own
