I didn't know until a few minutes ago when I got an ad for this song. I loved it so I saved it to one of my music playlists xD

I got in a really horrible car wreck 4 years ago. A semi pulled out in front of me and I had no choice but to turn my wheel, and that caused me to flip my car and I ended up upside down for 30 minutes hanging upside down by my seatbelt. The back seat hit the back of my head which caused a really gnarly brain injury (TBI) . Which o didn't realize until this year. And I didnt get diagnosed until this week. The semi driver kept driving. I got a ticket for the accident. I got reckless driving on my permanent record. And I haven't worked or driven for 3 years. I have no income. I have seizures. PTSD. Insomnia. Migraines. And so much more. And extreme social anxiety. I just want to say this song really helps me. I listen to it every day.

Loved ones can surprise you, in the good way. There is a lot that we hide and think are unspeakable, and think they will remain unsaid, but really most of the time it is just in our mind. It takes a lot of courage to be vulnerable in front of other people, but hey, isn't that the beginning for a more genuine relationship? for true human connection? for trusting and being trusted? for a little less of loneliness and a little more of love? At least, to me it feels like it is worth the risk.
This being said, these lyrics are so freaking relatable haha (I still have a lot to work on)... Simply beautiful ❤️ The great thing about the lyrics is that they mingle simplicity with great imagery and metaphors. And metaphors are such an important step in one's acknowledge of one's inner island. Thank you for that.
