    Martha, in Upland California you need to water every other day for a new planting like that. Remember, the West is different. Ryan know that very well!

    Can you plant seeds from the trees? My friend sent me 100 seeds from Arkansas.

      Yes you can, put them in a fridge for a few days to fool them into germination,then plant 3 or 4 seeds per pot and bobs your uncle,easy peasy🎉🎉🎉🎉

    ..but the whole american chestnut/japanese chestnut, white walnut/butternut issue with japanese walnuts and now japanese maples?..these a better pick over sugar maples because why again? Jmho.
