None of these moments are as cringy as your complete ignorance of British vernacular. The “middle class” is what the British call the wealthiest, most privileged class, short of the royalty itself (which is the high class in that society). Why haven’t you corrected this video yet? You calling out Cate Blanchett for this is making you look like the fool.
Honorable mention: all the rich celebs who were used to having nannies (Kim Kardashian, Justin Timberlake, etc.) whining during lockdown that it's impossible to be a full-time parent without help.
@anja6983 lol!! get real hun, they're working and during covid they couldn't have a nanny so they were indeed a full time parent. People who can't afford nannies may have family to help out. They're still full time parents. How daft are you?
it will probably happen within the next 50-100 years, cause we are the generation that grew up in this crap and actually to see through the facade and call out many of these celebrities for their behavior, and it's probably up to us as a generation to stop giving attention to people who have nothing artistic or meaningful to give, that don't do anything but be famous to be famous and sell people meaningless crap all the time
Sheryl Crow telling people they should use one square of toilet paper while she travelled on a her own bus and forcing her band to share a different one.
@bronzin1445 no fairness not true she was famous before I ever heard his name. But yeah that last part about like staying because she's married does that you're not looking at a woman that is going to cook dinner and be a single mom
Not even entrepreneurial. She wanted people to put reality tv and photoshoots over family and kids. 😂😂😂 and she told that to Kortney as if Kort didn’t carry the show the first 8 years and isn’t the only one who graduated college and the dash stores were kort. Not the all of theirs. Like the nerve
@godlygamer911It's disrespectful to embarrass your wife in public. Would you want her to do it to you? I have only been with my wife for 28 years. What do I know!
And you know what, his real answers were great. Coffee can be a luxury. Socks can be a luxury. There are people in the world who don't have either, and yet they're so ubiquitous to the rest of us that we can take them for granted, and we would definitely notice if we didn't have them anymore. So yeah, those are good answers.
The fact that I’m only 40 and haven’t even heard of a third of these celebrities and only have peripherally heard of another third of these celebrities, and know little about the remaining third, shows that celebrities aren’t needed to live a fulfilling life. Just ignore these out of touch idiots.
Couldn’t agree more. Celebrities are relevant or “famous” only because of their fans, yet they act so self-entitled and spoiled. If one day we chose to ignore them altogether, where would they be lol
The K-J and Foster clans are notoriously moronic and mindless.. Hard pass on all of them... But especially BRUCE.... Sorry Kaitlyn... Or whatever that MAGA Lizard is going by this day...
@PattyCake-x6c Recognizing that stealing has been going on since year one...👈🤔.... ...does not constitute "endorsement" of said policies, merely recognition that YOU will never stop folks from stealing....👈🤔... That's why "Jesus"...👈 ...cuz, you (I) couldn't adhere to to the 9 commandments, and that one....👍 Get lost, "holier than thou"....🤔👉...
@stickynorth Yes, but you know that's not what people mean. (Although there are crazy fans where it does apply, or even if someone just spends too much time with entertainment instead of important things.) Usually, you can just replace the word "idolize" with "look up to" or "make your hero".
They're just people with skills that had more, a lot more luck, than the vast majority of them wants to admit or even realizes. When you get there it's really difficult to stay critical and fully rational about the variables that lead you there. They just rationalize it as "it was all my doing, my ability and my me being me is at least 60-70% and luck might be 5-10 at best. Which is not. That is what angers me the most of societies and World's inequality, the inability of admitting you got there due to randomness and therefore you should vastly contribute back to those who were less fortunate than you when you are in a position where you have so much money even a grand is basically worthless to your perception.
@laurisaarinen1126 there were many female actors who "kept quiet" to spare her blushes. Linda Hamilton, Kate Beckinsale, Angelina Jolie, Uma Thurman, Michelle Yeoh, Milla Jovovich, Geena Davis & Zhang Ziyi could all make things more embarassing for J-Law.
Kylie Jenners kid standing in the bus was described as "taking it all in" and all i saw was a sad little girl who felt very much alone. The school bus experience is about riding with your friends and peers. Its about that little bit of independence between home where you do what you're told by parents, and school where you do what you're told by teachers. The school bus shes asking for isnt an empty shiny bus, its the experience of going to school with friends and feeling like them. The school bus is symbolic of a simpler sort of normalcy and her desire to feel connected. That little girl looked bummed out that there was no one to ride with her.
If you want an example of a parasocial relationship, when I tried calling out Ellen for her bullshit - my mom got so fucking defensive. I was an “essential worker” and was only making $10/hr but my mother felt so bad for Mrs. Ellen Degeneres being trapped in her multi million dollar mansion
I don't think your mom felt defensive because of what Ellen sitting in her mansion...Your mom more likely became defensive of Ellen being attacked in general..Think about it
We’re old remember, we used to watch TV only in black-and-white we only had three channels. We got to love our TV families, especially when all the shows were Family rated…. And the TV reception went off at 11 PM.
Something so sad about watching Travis & Kylie's daughter, Stormi, standing alone, still and silent in the school bus isle. A school bus isn't the same without the kids and laughter
She probably saw it on TV with all the kids in it and thought what am I supposed to do in an empty bus? She wanted the experience, not to own the bus itself. Rich parents often throw money at their kids instead of actually listening to them and then call them ungrateful when they’re older and call them out.
@CynthiasTikka Right? They could have just rented one and invite her friends and have them ride around and then put it on their property and have a kids‘ party in and around it.
When I was 23 I was pregnant and had lupus and worked 10-16 hour days for $8.25 an hour on my feet while the cartilage between my pubic bones slowly ripped apart. And I still had a cushy life compared to so many people. I was able to take two whole weeks off for maternity leave.
Yeah right, always think about those struggling more in life like Children in war areas, oppresed women all over the world, Ariana Grande, falsly accused criminals in jail😢
None of these celebrities "work" they play for a living and have everything hard done for them by others. This idea that they "work hard" is so fkn ridiculous. Imagine if they were forced to do shit every day they don't want to do like the rest of is. Smh
@lillaurapI wouldn’t say none of them have worked hard, there are some who actually did come from poverty and had to work incredibly hard to get where they are. It’s really the ones like Grande who came from very privileged backgrounds that you’re talking about.
So with Kate Blanchett, it isn't shocking because us British grow up where class is so prominent even when you become a millionaire, if you were born working class or middle class, you will ALWAYS socially be considered that class. We have Social and Economical class
That British CLASS thing is always there. My Mom emigrated from England to the USA when she was a little girl. If she got really disgusted with someone, her ultimate insult was, “How low class.”
@marionmarino1616 yeah, it is prominent. We have a really rich entrepreneur called Alan Sugar but he is known for being working class despite his economic wealth.
yeah, shes lived in the uk a lot and by our standards she is middle class. you can move from working to middle class or vice versa but upper class are aristocracy, people with titles and historical family names etc. if you earn enough money to mix with those people you become upper middle class but you are still middle class, new money, you are not one of them just because you can afford to be at the same party.
The Beckham one was gold. My husband is the same. " we grew up poor" im like, mate you spent every childhood summer in a tropical paradise because that's where your dads side of the family lives, not to mention you are your grandparents favourite child and those grandparents are loaded. When youre spending your summers digging up melting tar on the pavement with a lolly stick that you found on a council street, let me know
Totally and to only care about the camera instead of the actual experience!! But what she said afterwards in the first interview made me actually despise her
@lordprotector3367 Yeah, he was on a sitcom and apparently does voiceover for a cartoon, so he was saying - I'm famous, but I'm not THAT rich! Plus, his original answers were good ones - even though normal people have those things, they can still be thought of as a luxury, especially when you consider that there are cheap brands and expensive brands.
Tbf Cate Blanchett probably is middle class if you use the British class system instead of American. Here in the UK, you need to have a hereditary title to be considered upper class.
@dksander Yes, that's social mobility! Many "upper class" kids cosplay as being poor, and some working class children end up rich. But you always remember your roots.
@pragyars Yeah, well... At least the Royal Family is famous regardless... they didn't have to have a daughter who became famous and shot them to stardom simply for posting a video of her sucking a...😂
Are you saying that Kim's s3x tape, that was the start of the whole Kardashian media empire, showed she has no talent, because, you would be right, it showed she had no talent what so ever, even at s3x.
Gwenyth Paltrow is pretty insufferable in general but she actually was making a decent point, which is that its nearly impossible to survive and be healthy while living on food stamps.
Agree. Gwyneth IS pretty insufferable but yes, she was correct. And not knowing much about it, she overspent on things that 1) she was probably used to and 2) she probably didn't think were luxury items. And honestly? They SHOULDN'T be considered luxury items, but they are. (Shoot, a store I often go to to recently had a big bag of fresh cherries for about 60% off and I thought I'd hit a jackpot!) I also don't blame Bill Gates much. He wasn't trying to brag or or humble-brag. He genuinely didn't know the price of things. Shoot, my dad wasn't rich but since my mom did most of the grocery shopping after they stopped going to the military commissary together, he underestimated how much things actually cost, estimating them to be the price that they were, maybe a decade earlier, and couldn't understand why she was spending so much.
I agree! I feel like she’s said more tone deaf things, but this for me wasn’t one of them. She was pointing out the truth and some folks reality, even though she only did it for a few days. At least she was being truthful and not claiming otherwise, plus she admitted she couldn’t handle it! But maybe there was more tone deaf sht said on the clip, which I wouldn’t be surprised. Still can’t stand her!
If you buy a school bus for your child to ride COMPLETELY ALONE with no other children, then you have utterly missed the point of what a child gets out of riding the bus.
Umm.. not exactly. Everyone I know would be thrilled to have some peace and quiet, without being dissed the entire time. I would appreciate it, myself as well.
The fact that her father thought that Stormi meant she was just curious to know about the physicality of “a schoolbus” instead of what it means to a kid, shows the mentality. The kid was curious to know about the normalcy of the kids inside the bus, where they are going, & what it feels like to be on it riding with a purpose. Thank heaven it proves that the kid at least has her mother’s brains. Her father is a Total Moron. They could’ve arranged for a ride for her on a regular schoolbus with kids & gave her what she was really looking for-and donated that money to an underprivileged school that he spent wasted on the mf schoolbus for a 3 yr old. But what does he really know about being a dad?
@jdsnycthe child is 3. Stop projecting your own idea of what they wanted like you understand the child better than their parents. This one is stupid and doesn't even belong in the video.
In England, the class you were born into defines you far more than your bank balance. Eg: An aristocrat can be dirt poor but will never be lower class. Meanwhile, a working-class man or woman could be a millionaire but never be considered upper class.
This was my first thought to Kate Blanchet's answer. She considers herself middle-class because she's not a member of the nobility; actual wealth doesn't factor into it.
You don't have to know a thing about ANYTHING to have enough of a brain to flip the cucumber and cut from the other side. No amount of money can cure vanity and pride which breeds ignorance and stupidity because you are unteachable.
@BELHARZ4 it was Chris Hadfield and space oddity. Chris used to do a brodcast that was aired in Canada and he would answer questions that people could submit. I remember...i just didnt think i would have to spell it all out in order for you to be happy...omg i will try to do better to appease you from now on i guess!!
@alexisfagan9604 it's the ambiance when Chris does it. It's cool because its on the ISS and he has the earth as a back drop...its amazing. I watched all the times he was on tv answering questions from the ISS. So to see him do that song while there was amazing.
@BELHARZ4oh and incase it isn't already obvious I am Canadian...Alberta, so you know what happens when you assume hey!! You make an arse of you and yourself in this case!!
@BELHARZ4 Its cool, I just didn't put it all down because i had actually forgot the song title when i first wrote it. I didn't use Chris's name because I was figuring that us Canadian's would know him for sure and anyone else would be a science nerd like me and already know him. you are right though i should have just googled the song title and used his name. Next time....next time
Truth. I already left another comment about how idk how I’d be able to eat properly without help from my family and I remember my privilege every. single. day. I’m in an accelerated college program with basically no room for a job. (Probably technically doable but…mental health problems.) Anyway, I’m already having to rely on Medicaid so I’m glad to have some help. Constantly so thankful for what I have.
@celia-ov6rm You are correct. Bottom line is people eat for pleasure and not sustenance, which is the problem especially among privileged (i.e., not poor).
I was in a car with the CEO of the place I work and a bunch of other CEOs from other companies once (i am a nobody that was there to answer weird questions) My CEO said something like "I don't understand why kids these days even have to get their drivers license with a manual car, you can barely buy them these days" In Sweden you almost always learn to drive with a manual, if you only learn with an automatic your drivers license says you arent even allowed to drive manual. I told the group that there are actually people who cant afford to buy a 2025 car and have to buy a Skoda from 1997 which may only exist as a manual. They got quiet then 😅 And I still have the job 🤷♂️
To be fair, it is definitely more difficult to buy a manual transmission vehicle in North America, even a 20yo used one. Europe has always had more manual cars on the market. I would love my children in Canada to learn on a standard soon, but I don’t think they’ll have the opportunity unless I buy one specially for that.
@nicolasimpsonkhullar986 yeah yeah ofc, but in sweden it was the standard until like 5-10 years ago, and most people that are 18 can't afford €80 000 on a brand new car 🤣 My first car was a Saab from 2005 that I bought for ish €3000 But in NA, you have always had more Automatics, you're right, I think that to at least have the knowledge on how to drive a manual is good, you never know when you may need it
Damn, did not think I could love on David Beckham so hard, but that continuous call out of Victoria was beautiful! Kudos to him for keeping her in check with it! 😂
The David Beckham moment shows how down-to-earth he is. When Queen Elizabeth II died, and the pubic was able to go and pay their respects, the queue to do so was at its peek for 24 hours!! David queued with the public, and some lesser famous celebrities used their status to skip the queue. He enjoyed meeting fans while he was there and I’ve always seen him differently after this happened.
That show made me realize how much I actually love him. Probably the best thing he could do was that. He seems endearing and not as mentally far removed from the general public as others are.
@KOGRADY I believe certain English speaking countries use the work queue (or to "queue up") to wait in line. It's also used in the U.S. for certain online activities. Like if an online game server is full, you are put in a queue.
8:00 - At this point I'm just glad for any celebrity still trying to stay in touch with the average person, while so many of them have jetted off to live their lives on some island or yacht.
Watching these videos with celebrities during Covid makes me think that Covid gave us one good thing, it was the start of regular people realizing how clueless they were, and realizing we actually don't need them or care about them as much as we thought we did.
When I met my partner, he told me the hardest and painful thing he has ever experienced was his parents telling him that he’d have to pay for his own University tuition and expenses. Not all of it though, not even half. My jaw never dropped so hard as I realised most rich celebrities have no idea how they even got there, so many of them are born with privilege and barely 10% of celebrities worked from the bottom to the top. He was very shocked when I told him I’ve been solely financially responsible for myself since I was 15. And honestly more people relate to that than having started life with benefits. Also my biggest privilege growing up was having my own computer when I was 9, while his was having his own 2 en-suite bedrooms since he was 12.
It's odd because my experience was definitely between these. I shared a bedroom until roughly age 12, and never had an en-suite until very recently. Why would one person need 2 bedrooms though?? Makes no sense. I never made it to University so idk how that would've went. I can't imagine how anyone below 18 can support themselves- most jobs won't hire you, and most places won't rent to you.
dude, Gwyneth Paltrow's food stamp challenge did not belong on this list as she ended up proving a point; if there was a statement made beforehand about how easy it was going to be or the usual nonsense of rich people being like, oh just eat healthy it's super easy, that would be more appropriate, or any number of Gwyneth's other cringy statements would have worked much better
Yeah, apparently her first few days on the challenge were published by her on social media. She quit after realizing you couldn't live on vegetables forever.
@la_scrittice_vitaIt’s because she didn‘t even make an effort, she just quit the challenge before even trying. It’s called a challenge because it’s supposed to be challenging.
Some rentals do include electricity, I've lived in some which did. My guess is that she lived in one when younger and when she became wealthy didn't pay her own bills to make that connection. Still fairly unaware yet electricity is actually sometimes free for a tenant.
As a nurse who worked through the pandemic, many of these examples were new to me, and I found them difficult to watch. People were lucky to stay at home, make videos in the bath or sing virtually with their friends. Those who risked everything had no time to make videos and complain about being bored. Feeling sorry for themselves because they had nothing to do and felt trapped - little did they realize, that was their luxury.
Agreed. I’m a nurse and worked through the pandemic sweating in PPE, and being yelled at by members of the public who didn’t want to wear a mask even if it was to protect themselves. My mother was in a nursing home and we were not allowed to visit her during much of 2020. The celebrities making videos in their mansions as if they could relate to the rest of us was ridiculous.
My husband’s cardiologist said there were covid cases in the cardiology ward. He was overwhelmed. Post covid, he had to see a therapist. I almost cried.
Yeah, I have chronic illness & have to stay home in bed most of the time, so for me, Covid was pretty much life as usual & all these people were complaining about not going out, etc. And I'm thinking, you still have the internet, books, movies - it's not that big of a deal. I know video chats aren't the same as being together, but it really sounded like they've never been through any real challenges in their life. Plus, I believe if you're bored it's your own fault. You can always find things to do. But of course, everyone who really suffered financially or had loved ones die, & the healthcare workers went through a lot & it was very serious and difficult. However most of the ones complaining were about trivial things. But I thought the celebrities making a song or other videos was nice. If someone does something out of kindness, we should accept it in the spirit it's given.
I still don't get what Blake Lively thought what "It Ends With us" was about. Did she understand it at all? Did she read the script? Why promote it as a nice cute romantic movie you watch with your girlfriends on a night out?
She really thought she was creating the next Barbie/Oppenheimer because she was also trying to promote Deadpool and wolverine for her husband like he needs The marketing
the thing is with Class an the UK, Cait is right to say she is middle class. Its not about money, its about family line and history. So middle class means very different things between the UK and USA
Agreed. It doesn’t matter how you live now, it matters what you were born into. Your personal achievement or what you married into is immaterial in determining your class.
Wasn't that complaint about the _SIX_ cottages that wete knocked into one for them on the Windsor Estate? She thought she'd be living in Windsor Castle.
Hopefully she was brought back down to reality, unless she pays for it herself. My daughter worked 2 jobs in high school while going to college part time. She loved expensive things & I refused to buy them, so she earned her own money.
The backlash Gwyneth Paltrow got for this has always bugged me. Is she out of touch, yes, but this particular example is actually her recognizing and bringing awareness to the fact that it’s not as easy as “just eat healthy” when you’re in a tax bracket that makes that so much more difficult.
Facts though. I’m thankful every single day that I was able to move back in with family while I go through college (a second time - long story) because otherwise I would 100% be on food stamps. Already getting government help with Medicaid so I slightly get it but I still constantly recognize my privilege. (Edited because I accidentally said Medicare instead of Medicaid - they are NOT the same thing, lol.)
Same! I know she’s out of touch and has always been privileged but she was definitely making a good point. As a social worker I see this with my clients. They have diabetes are on food stamps and can’t afford healthier food.
She is also a comedian, and that was very clear to me in that comparison. It rubbed some people the wrong way but people have different sense of humour and find different things funny
I got so upset that day when they did that it made all six of them look like wanna be teenage girls in their tight clothes? 😢 I can’t comment on Gail King. She just has to be smarter than she’s acting.
@eugeniefontaine4709 They did cross that line, but neither FAA, NASA, nor FAI recognized them as astronauts, which has some pretty stringent physical and educational requirements. They got the FAA version of the FIFA peace prize: recognition as having achieved human space flight. As much as I want to celebrate this as a win for women and tell the Trump admin to suck it (they were pretty vocal in rejecting Katy and Gayle), calling them astronauts is at best diluting the title and the profession. Gamers are closer to computer engineers than space tourists are to astronauts
Don’t forget when Oprah was on a talk show and said that veggies were sooo expensive. That’s why she brought along her own, grown on her expensive grounds on Hawaii by several gardeners, when she traveled. 🙄
9:40 I doubt it. She was too busy trying to stay alive with her family. She was also writing her diary in a way to distract herself from being locked up in an attic for 1+ yr in hiding.
@gabim3093are you asking if I went to primary school? I think the parallel is elementary school and I did go. I was never assigned The Diary of Anne Frank in school so at some point in my 20s I read it and afterwards I read the book about what was cut out, like stuff about masturbation.
no but he did grow up at his mothers place, didn’t know his dad until he was like 17. When he finally managed to know them both his mother was killed in a car accident. So no he wasn’t living on the streets but he also didn’t have it easy. He even wrote a song about his situation with his parents called Mother, it’s in spotify. I do think he actually joked about imagine later on tho, but i’m not sure rn:)
To be fair, the people at Pepsi should have canceled that commercial. Kendall did not write the script or direct it or anything other than appear and do what she was told. You can’t put 100% of the blame on her. That being said, she should have passed on the commercial.
You're right but Pepsi was not going to cancel it because they knew it would cause controversy. Kendall Jenner knew that it was going to be controversial (and for the Kardashians /Jenner family, even bad press is good) as well which is most likely why she chose to stay on.
My luxury is being able to afford decent quality food. Happy to keep my 20 year old car running and forgo foreign holidays to be able to put decent fuel in my body
I know what you mean. I just got to the point where I can eat ok. Car is ancient, and I live in a crap tiny hole in the wall, but at least I now have food, a bathroom, and a bed.
My luxury is having family members help me financially while I go through school. Otherwise I would 100% be relying on food stamps since I’m already on medicaid.
Same got a 20 Yr old car, live in a one bed council flat, either wagyu steak organic eggs salmon, lovely countryside i share with millionaires, can't complain
Just the army though? Come on, there are people with actual IMPORTANT and HONORABLE jobs out there, like being a celebrity. pssshhht I’m sure you probably have less than 1,000 insta followers too… and you don’t even have to pay the tens of thousands per year that poor Ariana does to keep her face pretty! In all seriousness though, thank you for your service. 😊
There’s an adorable video sad/adorable toddler somewhere China type looking she’s cooking with a wok on an open fire as she’s keeping the fire going. She’s cooking bread and meat and vegetables wrapping it up and gave it to the baby and she didn’t burn herself once.❤ toddler.
Blake Lively saying It Ends With Us, a movie that has domestic violence themes, is romantic is like saying the events in Schindler’s List was nothing more than rainbows and sunshine.
Bet if you ask Blake she would say Schindler's List was a feel good family movie! "Grab your popcorn grab your friends and go see the feel good movie Schindler's List!"
@cinnamon8884 No she wasn't. In her lawsuit she gave to NYT there was a letter from management and it specifically said NOT to make light of the main theme of the movie.
I genuinely thought that interview with Larry King and Danny Pudi was a gag because I had only ever seen clips. I assumed it was from some show of Danny's that Larry was being a good sport by guest starring on.😂
In an interview with Stephen Colbert, Mariah Carey talked about how *she* decorated her FOUR Christmas trees 🙄like “Doesn’t everyone? I liked her even less after that one.
I know. I worked this event with a ton of celebrities recently and got to run the green room....I ended up leaving with 5 goodie bags....I made $3,000 selling it all in a couple days. I was so stoked. Thry just kept leaving and telling me to keep it!
We often describe our social status based on our upbringing, regardless of how much money we have as adults. Cate Blanchett was brought up in a middle class household, in Australia, we describe ourselves as being of a certain class based on our upbringing. She wasn't out of touch, she was being Australian.
Sorry, my bad: a more accurate description here: Drew Barrymore faced criticism and backlash from the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and others for her decision to resume production of "The Drew Barrymore Show" during the 2023 writers' strike without the participation of WGA writers. This led to her being dropped as the host of the National Book Awards and sparked debate about her show's image and business practices. Ultimately, Barrymore reversed her decision and announced she would not bring the show back during the strike.
To be fair, Cate Blanchette grew up in a commonwealth country with a strong English cultural influence. Her use of “middle class” was, I think, used in the sense and manner the English use it. In which case - it was correct. It has nothing to do with her job or fame as an actress. Those things are covered by her phrase “I am privileged.” I am not often a big defender of celebrities, but in this case the WatchMojo criticism is misplaced due to their rather lazy understanding of what was actually being said.
I thought that straight away. In the UK we have an ACTUAL class system. And if you're not born (or marry) into nobility or the periphery thereof, you will only ever be middle class at most.
Absolutely spot on. I’m American and I even know that. Just watch a few clips from 8 out of 10 cats does Countdown, and you’ll figure that out real quick. You have to remember if you have royalty in your society, the highest class you can go is middle class.
I think there's been a misunderstanding between you on this post/thread, Watch Mojo and Cate B. Cate didn't say (and this is KEY) middle class *BACKGROUND* 😖 Which made it seem as if she remains middle class, not appreciating her hierarchical progression. I come from a working class background, but now would likely be seen as middle class. However, working class would be my 'heritage' of sorts growing up 😅
No misunderstanding here. Cate sees herself as middle class now (and always) because she is not upper class. ie. aristocracy. Rich, yes. Famous, yes. Privileged, yes. But all of those can be part of being middle class. Whereas being upper class is, usually, by birth or marriage.
12:17 Cate is saying middle class is not wrong in European standard. If she tell herself as upper class, she would be considered as a joke too as she is not a royal. It is subjective.
That pissed me off. Granted that Anne Frank was a fan girl in her time as evidenced by her photo collection of actresses and royalty. I just don’t like how Bieber said it it was extremely disrespectful and obnoxious
@seeya205what also gets me is Bieber assuming that Anne Frank would have been a fan of his. Like….what would point to this? We shouldn’t assume these things. It’s not disrespectful

Video idea 💡; Top 10 best stand up comedians all time.
All of them!!
"I take responsibility."
😅
Someone once said, "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt."
That’s in proverbs. Good thing liberals don’t read the Bible.
Takes one to know one. Swish.
That someone was Abraham Lincoln, btw.
I think he said twice
@McPh1741beat me to it 😂❤
Just remember, when you think you are an incompetent human being, you know how to cut a cucumber.
Yeah and probably WITHOUT your arms crossed. Because you know... It's more EFFICIENT
Yeah, but I'd still like to be rich enough to have a chef to it for me
this was the BEST comment ever!
I won't forget!😂
🤣😂🤣
The fact jenners say "the chef" like he doesnt have a name says a lot
Maybe for the chef's privacy
Same with hayek. Imagine her kids in a few years tooling around entitled.
Im more disturbed she doesnt want to teach her child how to chop vegetables
@vanityshop5155I. In England, we just call the chef “ CHEF” and she likes that title, very much.
So cringe
Actual luxuries that we take for granted:
1. Coffee
2. A hot shower
3. Electricity
ArsLonga1967
Definitely!
And access to the internet, a bed, clothes that actually fit you, easy access to school / work... Oh, the list goes on...
ArsLonga1967 Why aren’t the citizens of the world getting together and figuring out how to make clean water easier❤
arable Land to live on
ArsLonga1967Because the Western world is responsible for the entire world????
Honorable mention: all the rich celebs who were used to having nannies (Kim Kardashian, Justin Timberlake, etc.) whining during lockdown that it's impossible to be a full-time parent without help.
So true.
it's not a whine. It's true. For every parent. Caretaker burn out is real and it extends to parents. She spoke the truth.
I have loved JT since MMC... And I couldn't help but face palm even he said that
@BansheeVanRavenit is a whine. You can’t have a nanny and say you’re a full time parent.
@anja6983 lol!! get real hun, they're working and during covid they couldn't have a nanny so they were indeed a full time parent. People who can't afford nannies may have family to help out. They're still full time parents. How daft are you?
This is exactly the reason why the whole world loves Keanu Reeves!
The irony is Keanu used to be known as wooden.I always lov
Ed him
And Cillian Murphy
True Hawaiian 🙏🌺
Yes. He is humble and a truly sweet person.
The older I get the fewer celebrity names I recognize. I'm clearly doing something right.
I’m only 40 and haven’t heard of most of these celebrities.
Yes, they really have nothing to say
I'm only 29 and I might know some of the names, but I couldn't tell you anything they've done. lol
Nobody is famous for anything worthwhile anymore, nor are they famous for very long. Andy Warhol was right!
I can't wait till everyone just stops caring about celebrities
That'd be nice. But it'll probably never happen.
So are you taking any steps to help you reduce your interest in celebrities?
Then why are you watching? Clicking on the video only boosts this in the algorithm
it will probably happen within the next 50-100 years, cause we are the generation that grew up in this crap and actually to see through the facade and call out many of these celebrities for their behavior, and it's probably up to us as a generation to stop giving attention to people who have nothing artistic or meaningful to give, that don't do anything but be famous to be famous and sell people meaningless crap all the time
Same
Sheryl Crow telling people they should use one square of toilet paper while she travelled on a her own bus and forcing her band to share a different one.
ONE SQUARE???? Ewwww! 🤢
@ShellyClineja, the secret is to push your inex finger through the paper...
@EeeaazyCompany ROFL
Katy Perry hardly even looked out the window. She spent almost the whole time staring into the camera, of course.
Yup she is disgusting for it than said she did it to inspire 10 year old girls, inspire them to do what lose touch with reality?
What a waste of space!
@tromedl Good one.
She is vain and vapid. She must have missed the spotlight.
She's a total idiot.
Kim Kardashian - calling women "Lazy" for not being entrepreneurial enough.
Which is incredibly ironic and hypocritical considering she only got famous by getting her back blown out...
@bronzin1445 no fairness not true she was famous before I ever heard his name. But yeah that last part about like staying because she's married does that you're not looking at a woman that is going to cook dinner and be a single mom
NOOoNe wANtZ To W0Rk!!!!
@briansmith6292 What?
Coffee, socks, and their variations are the luxuries I'm thankful for every day.
You gotta love David Beckham for calling out his wife and that she let him.
Oh hunny that was for sure a script!
You don't call out your wife in front of people. You wait until you are one on one.
@seeya205 You do if you are in a healthy relationship.... you should try it some time
@Haven2085 There is no chance, they aren't that good of actors
@godlygamer911It's disrespectful to embarrass your wife in public. Would you want her to do it to you? I have only been with my wife for 28 years. What do I know!
“… Larry, I’m on DuckTales.” 😂😂😂😂😂 the delivery, the pause. Might as well have been scripted.
Love that one
Not gonna lie, that's the best comeback ever! Show some celebrities are just like us.
Yeah, his life can be like a hurricane.
Right on !
And you know what, his real answers were great. Coffee can be a luxury. Socks can be a luxury. There are people in the world who don't have either, and yet they're so ubiquitous to the rest of us that we can take them for granted, and we would definitely notice if we didn't have them anymore. So yeah, those are good answers.
when you appear twice on this list, you truly are out of touch with planet earth.
We waste and pay too much time and attention to celebrities. Ignore them and they will go away.
@grahamnichols1416 what term are you referring to?
YES they are not worth our money or time. We're creating these idiots
The same one made the list twice 😆
The fact that I’m only 40 and haven’t even heard of a third of these celebrities and only have peripherally heard of another third of these celebrities, and know little about the remaining third, shows that celebrities aren’t needed to live a fulfilling life. Just ignore these out of touch idiots.
Couldn’t agree more. Celebrities are relevant or “famous” only because of their fans, yet they act so self-entitled and spoiled. If one day we chose to ignore them altogether, where would they be lol
It's not surprising how many Kardashians were part of this list.
Yeah, that part was a waste of time, real celebrities is what I thought it was going to be.
Stormi is a spoiled little girl
She’ll be disappointed later in life
The K-J and Foster clans are notoriously moronic and mindless.. Hard pass on all of them... But especially BRUCE.... Sorry Kaitlyn... Or whatever that MAGA Lizard is going by this day...
the whole family just sucks
They are collectively the second most hateable family after the Trumps.
LOL Bill Gates housekeeper has been telling him groceries cost $3000 a week, pocketing $2500 a week. Good for her.
BWAHAHAHAHAHA !!!....👈🤣👆
Good call...👍
Bill Gates is the most normal guy out there. He worked for his money. That housekeeper is as useless as the idiots on this list.
that's stealing..so it's not good for her.. I get the tongue in cheek message but stealing is so wrong
@PattyCake-x6c
Recognizing that stealing has

20 reasons we shouldn’t idolize celebrities
Bingo, idolize your grandparents. Idolize your teacher.
False Idols are wicked and forbidden!
Hold no one to an impossible standard.
The Jennifer Lawrence story i would have picked was when she claimed there were no female action leads before her... 😂
Sigourney Weaver was holding the Boom Mic when she said it, too!
😬😬😬😬😬😬😬
@siempra78 Wow, i didn't notice that at all. The irony is too much!
Lawrence is so full of herself it's painful.
You really think you know how that privileged child feels??
Dayum… you be as out of touch as them
@Torrque Tell us you aren't a parent and don't know kids without telling us you aren't a parent and don't know kids.
Yep, I was a caregiver at a facility, so it was very, very stressful. I'd have loved to live in Ellen's mansion during that time!!!
I don't think your mom felt defensive because of what Ellen sitting in her mansion...Your mom more likely became defensive of Ellen being attacked in general..Think about it
I believe you. That's crazy,
@Ashholey her mom was wrong and so are you, people already know ellen is a monster
Ditto
She probably saw it on TV with all the kids in it and thought what am I supposed to do in an empty bus? She wanted the experience, not to own the bus itself. Rich parents often throw money at their kids instead of actually listening to them and then call them ungrateful when they’re older and call them out.
@crotaliscrotaliswell said
I thought the same thing too - she looked sad that she was alone in a school bus, not with kids.
@CynthiasTikka Right? They could have just rented one and invite her friends and have them ride around and then put it on their property and have a kids‘ party in and around it.
That rolls royce was hilarious. Thank you kids.
The Blue Origin space thing should be number one. The whole thing was a fake publicity stunt.
I want to see your reality show! You are stronger than any of these creeps!
How does it feel like ? U.u hope you are better
I was thinking the same
yeah, shes lived in the uk a lot and by our standards she is middle class. you can move from working to middle class or vice versa but upper class are aristocracy, people with titles and historical family names etc. if you earn enough money to mix with those people you become upper middle class but you are still middle class, new money, you are not one of them just because you can afford to be at the same party.
So basically you guys have a caste system.
Katy Pery’s Blue Origin flight is impossible for me to take seriously, and that includes her “What A Wonderful World” rendition.
Gayle said we should be giving her as much credit as the boy astronauts. 😂
Katy Perry is ridiculous.
😂
@kjg655 So is Gail King!.....Pathetic!🤦♂️
Did they really go to space?
Why does anyone in 2025 still refer to the Kardashians as celebrities?
Why did anyone ever refer to them as such....they never did anything, besides record porno...just famous for being famous
Why did anyone ever refer to them as celebrities?
I hate them, despice them, but they are?
Because so many stupid people worship them.
Is a "celebrity" that great of a thing to be?
The Beckham one was gold. My husband is the same. " we grew up poor" im like, mate you spent every childhood summer in a tropical paradise because that's where your dads side of the family lives, not to mention you are your grandparents favourite child and those grandparents are loaded. When youre spending your summers digging up melting tar on the pavement with a lolly stick that you found on a council street, let me know
Katy Perry has had many cringe moments but that idiotic cringey shit of her floating with a tiny flower made her look so so ridiculous
Plus...she can't sing. It's all auto-tune.
Totally and to only care about the camera instead of the actual experience!! But what she said afterwards in the first interview made me actually despise her
I think she was high as a ....erm... rocket in space! xD
And in a space toy owned by one of the world's least likable multi-billionaires Dr. Evil. Bezos doesn't get nearly enough negative attention.
I thought she looked beautiful, she’s special enough to get on the flight and none of you did
Larry, I’m on duck tales😂 that was so funny to me
Danny Pudi had great comedic timing with that one lol
I didn't know what that meant, so had to look it up. Yes, it's funny.
To be honest, I had no idea who this actor was. Never heard of him.
Tbf Cate Blanchett probably is middle class if you use the British class system instead of American. Here in the UK, you need to have a hereditary title to be considered upper class.
That's so strange. So, a homeless person could be upper class while a billionaire is lower class? Makes the terms kinda meaningless.
@dksander Yes, that's social mobility! Many "upper class" kids cosplay as being poor, and some working class children end up rich. But you always remember your roots.
Cate Blanchett is Australia and in Australia there are only 2 classes. Middle and battler
Can you imagine the backlash she’d have received had she self identified as “upper class”? Haters would have torn her to shreds
Yes, feel like that was more Americans not understanding how the class system works in other countries.
The Kardashians are an example of being some of the most famous people in the world for having no talent whatsoever.
Hey, we also have royal families. They give Kardashians competition. 😂
True but sex sells and privilege and $$ get you a head start
@pragyars Yeah, well... At least the Royal Family is famous regardless... they didn't have to have a daughter who became famous and shot them to stardom simply for posting a video of her sucking a...😂
Are you saying that Kim's s3x tape, that was the start of the whole Kardashian media empire, showed she has no talent, because, you would be right, it showed she had no talent what so ever, even at s3x.
I never knew that the Better Call Saul guys mocked the Imagine video - that is so rad!
They are the best!!
that one had me dead 😂
An amazing show that's now even better to me!
With a Weird Al song, no less!
❤
Singing "Imagine" from the comfort of their mansions is fuckin hilarious 😂
Gwenyth Paltrow is pretty insufferable in general but she actually was making a decent point, which is that its nearly impossible to survive and be healthy while living on food stamps.
I also think so..
@talanario89Yup. Can't stand her either, but she did have, inadvertently, an important realisation and made a good point about poverty and health.
Agree. Gwyneth IS pretty insufferable but yes, she was correct. And not knowing much about it, she overspent on things that 1) she was probably used to and 2) she probably didn't think were luxury items. And honestly? They SHOULDN'T be considered luxury items, but they are. (Shoot, a store I often go to to recently had a big bag of fresh cherries for about 60% off and I thought I'd hit a jackpot!)
I also don't blame Bill Gates much.
You can buy anything except cooked foods, alcohol and tobacco. It's meant to supplement your income and nutrition, not carry the entire load.
@Outlaw-Wolfie And no flying missiles at the back of your head.
I have always found this interesting. Bloodlines mean nothing 😂 --me, a Greek and an American.
This was my first thought to Kate Blanchet's answer. She considers herself middle-class because she's not a member of the nobility; actual wealth doesn't factor into it.
In America we don’t pay for power? My electricity company must be scamming me.
She is both out of touch and incredibly stupid.
😂😂😂👍
All kinds of power lololol
the electric company charge nearly $500 where I live and my house doesn't even have full electricity! Most of my house is dark. lol
See I wonder was she being a bit sarcastic because Mariah's background is not privileged at all.
David Beckham giving his wife a slice of humble pie 🤣
We all love a humble king!
Yes. She’s lucky to have a family member ready to bring her back down to earth
David didn’t let her mention that her dad was a chauffeur though, it wasn’t actually her dad’s car. It was still funny though.
Wish i were a celebrity
@Darster595 It was, he was an engineer that founded a wholesale business, they were wealthy. Where do you get this nonsense from?
@presidentobummer447 probably you tube 😂, thanks for the clarification.
You don't have to know a thing about ANYTHING to have enough of a brain to flip the cucumber and cut from the other side. No amount of money can cure vanity and pride which breeds ignorance and stupidity because you are unteachable.
The best song sung in space was from a canadian astronaut.. he did major Tom...it was very cool
Space Oddity is a fantastic song. His rendition of it wasn't bad either.
Next time....next time
I think that Gwyneth showed very clearly how little you get on food stamps, and how eating healthy is impossible without money.
Yep. It's a shame some people are so filled with hate they could not absorb that obvious point.
Frozen vegetables are some of the cheapest food options available.
@celia-ov6rm You are correct. Bottom line is people eat for pleasure and not sustenance, which is the problem especially among privileged (i.e., not poor).
@celia-ov6rmyep! Or canned.
Kris offering the chef, probably can't cut one herself either
Jennifer Lawrence said, "Whatever... ancestors who knows?" ??? That is double insulting, first the scratchin,g and then the lack of care
exactly
That’s the reason I can’t stand her.
its a rock who gives a fuck
@adam2178 well, a lot of people... People who have a cultural attachment to the place and people who have enough education to respect that.
@ingridmolina2173 its still a rock
I was in a car with the CEO of the place I work and a bunch of other CEOs from other companies once (i am a nobody that was there to answer weird questions)
My CEO said something like "I don't understand why kids these days even have to get their drivers license with a manual car, you can barely buy them these days"
In Sweden you almost always learn to drive with a manual, if you only learn with an automatic your drivers license says you arent even allowed to drive manual.
@nicolasimpsonkhullar986 yeah yeah ofc, but in sweden it was the standard until like 5-10 years ago, and most people that are 18 can't afford €80 000 on a brand new car 🤣 My first car was a Saab from 2005 that I bought for ish €3000
But in NA, you have always had more Automatics, you're right, I think that to at least have the knowledge on how to drive a manual is good, you never know when you may need it
@johnnybacklund153I’m glad that’s how I learned!
Bravo! I LOVE people who speak truth to power. You're a star. 💪🏼
Swedenstan has a lot of its own problems these days.
To be fair my dad wouldn't be able to tell you what things cost at the supermarket either. Mum does the shopping, and he avoids it at all costs.
Damn, did not think I could love on David Beckham so hard, but that continuous call out of Victoria was beautiful! Kudos to him for keeping her in check with it! 😂
Right, he can't have enough kiddos 😁👍🏻
It was so cute! David did grow up truly middle class!
@KOGRADYwe use queue in Canada. They definitely do in England. It’s an English word as well as a French word.
hes getting knighted next week on the kings birthday apparently
@KOGRADY I believe certain English speaking countries use the work queue (or to "queue up") to wait in line. It's also used in the U.S. for certain online activities. Like if an online game server is full, you are put in a queue.
@KOGRADY OMG!!!!!
Dany Pudi is a king among men, from his appearance in Gilmore Girls to Abed in Community and his netflix show, he delivers. Great actor.
8:00 - At this point I'm just glad for any celebrity still trying to stay in touch with the average person, while so many of them have jetted off to live their lives on some island or yacht.
Yes, I didn’t think this was bad at all. And I don’t even like her
Watching these videos with celebrities during Covid makes me think that Covid gave us one good thing, it was the start of regular people realizing how clueless they were, and realizing we actually don't need them or care about them as much as we thought we did.
Gwyneth's one wasn't even that shoking ?? People just want to hate her
She not only sells pussy-scented candles but makes baseless health claims which are potentially dangerous.
Joking? Or shocking?
dude, Gwyneth Paltrow's food stamp challenge did not belong on this list as she ended up proving a point; if there was a statement made beforehand about how easy it was going to be or the usual nonsense of rich people being like, oh just eat healthy it's super easy, that would be more appropriate, or any number of Gwyneth's other cringy statements would have worked much better
You have a point.
I know. Mustn't let reality or common sense interfere with their hate-fest.
1:35 "Gourmet meals"? She is talking about pizza. Since when is pizza gourmet food?
How could Mariah Carey not know about electricity bills? She wasn't always wealthy. In fact, she was poor before she hit it big.
She’s been a huge star for so long she simply forgot and stopped caring
She has a short memory span. Hahahaha
A lot of these celebrities are so phony. She knew better.
Some rentals do include electricity, I've lived in some which did. My guess is that she lived in one when younger and when she became wealthy didn't pay her own bills to make that connection. Still fairly unaware yet electricity is actually sometimes free for a tenant.
that was obviously a joke
As a nurse who worked through the pandemic, many of these examples were new to me, and I found them difficult to watch. People were lucky to stay at home, make videos in the bath or sing virtually with their friends. Those who risked everything had no time to make videos and complain about being bored. Feeling sorry for themselves because they had nothing to do and felt trapped - little did they realize, that was their luxury.
Amen. I work in dentistry. Talk about those frightening early days.
@ridinreiners100%
14:51 wait was Ellen watching herself on TV while she worked out that's tone deaf af
Pepsi has a history of being insane when it comes to marketing
Pepsi is just a crappy version of Coke anyway.
They set Michael Jackson’s hair on fire!
Bob Dole getting horned up over Britney Spears was a weird one.
I still don't get what Blake Lively thought what "It Ends With us" was about. Did she understand it at all? Did she read the script? Why promote it as a nice cute romantic movie you watch with your girlfriends on a night out?
I'm convinced that Blake Lively essentially just played herself in Gossip Girl but changed her name to Serena
She really thought she was creating the next Barbie/Oppenheimer because she was also trying to promote Deadpool and wolverine for her husband like he needs The marketing
She didn't read the book. Baldoni did, its inspired him to make the movie, she took over the movie not knowing what it was fully about.
@Sjcstro84but did she not read the script? I mean she promoted the movie after making it. Waa she ignorant when shooting it?
Maybe that is what Ryan is like so she thinks it's normal
Wow, that's crazy when your own spouse calls out your nonsense on live TV.
the thing is with Class an the UK, Cait is right to say she is middle class. Its not about money, its about family line and history. So middle class means very different things between the UK and USA
.......No
Wasn't it the same with Victoria Beckham?
@AgnessaMo not the same because Victoria was trying to say she was working class growing up when she was actually middle class
Agreed. It doesn’t matter how you live now, it matters what you were born into. Your personal achievement or what you married into is immaterial in determining your class.
not in 2025 mate
How about Meghan Markle complaining that the free apartment she and Harry moved into in Kensington Palace was so small 😂
Wasn't that complaint about the _SIX_ cottages that wete knocked into one for them on the Windsor Estate? She thought she'd be living in Windsor Castle.
And the way MM cut vegetables and fruit, lol. Oh the long list of MM disasters would make a 5 hour movie!
You could make a whole video just on Meghan Markle's pathetic whining. She's an insufferable narcissist who's sense of entitlement knows no bounds.
My oldest daughter wanted to fly 500 miles to look for a prom dress as the local stores had none she liked, I work in construction
Oof that sounds like she’s seen too many celebrities or influencers online and thinks that’s how life works 😂
Somehow you are living in a 2nd world with 2nd world problems like that one
Why not online, they ship, you know?
I don’t see how she did anything wrong - she found the food stamp situation isn’t sustainable if you want to eat a balanced diet.
Everyone hates her and Yes she can be out of touch but she has said some truthful things that I could only agree with
Same! I know she’s out of touch and has always been privileged but she was definitely making a good point. As a social worker I see this with my clients. They have diabetes are on food stamps and can’t afford healthier food.
Didn’t she also say one time something about wanting to work like regular folks so she can see your kids more?
“Larry, I’m on DUCKTALES” still gets me 😂
Actually Gwyneth's experience of not making it last, is a real issue, good on her for admitting it.
Ellen DeGeneres comparing being on COVID lockdown in her mansion to being in actual prison.
Put yourself in prison
Ellen has always been tone deaf and out of touch. That just happened to be the thing that went viral
She is also a comedian, and that was very clear to me in that comparison. It rubbed some people the wrong way but people have different sense of humour and find different things funny
"Imagine reading the room first" lol.
Dani Pudi is a real one for that😆
@SisyphusMythDidn't the narrator say "Iconic response" ?🤔
The one with David Beckham was funny. I may have laughed a little too hard.
at least she isn`t a serial cheater like him - cheating on his wife while pregnant...
The last remaining investigative journalist
@cinnamon8884hahaha be honest
@keithlow3056 he should be honest - cheating on your pregant wife is pretty disgusting.
Indeed. In the spice girls she was called 'Posh Spice'.
Laughing at these people does nothing because they can’t understand why you’re laughing at them.
I'd also add certain members of the Blue Origin space tour calling themselves astronauts.
I got so upset that day when they did that it made all six of them look like wanna be teenage girls in their tight clothes? 😢 I can’t comment on Gail King. She just has to be smarter than she’s acting.
I have no idea if they actually reached that altitude, but anyone who has traveled past the Von Karman line is considered an astronaut. :)
Hey, I know how hard it is to lose weight….. Oprah‘s not doing what I did which is massive amounts of eggs and the whites too. and No bread.
9:40 I doubt it. She was too busy trying to stay alive with her family. She was also writing her diary in a way to distract herself from being locked up in an attic for 1+ yr in hiding.
I'm not defending Justin Bieber but Anne Frank had celebrity crushes. Did you read her book?
@carolynguldberg5055 OFC I did. Were you in primary school?
@gabim3093are you asking if I went to primary school? I think the parallel is elementary school and I did go. I was never assigned The Diary of Anne Frank in school so at some point in my 20s I read it and afterwards I read the book about what was cut out, like stuff about masturbation.
It's not like John Lennon was living on the streets when he sang Imagine
Best reply😂😂😂😂
Maybe so, but he wasn't singing the song to people who lost everything including lives of loved ones when HE wrote and sang it either, now was he?!!
He actually went on to loathe the song, too
no but he did grow up at his mothers place, didn’t know his dad until he was like 17.
@sitcomchristian6886Too late, he put that trash out.
Yeah, she is not the protest for the people type.
She lacked the understanding to know what she took part in, and she's not a prisoner that's forced to do what someone tells her.
Maybe she just signed the contract to do the commercial, and didn't even know the theme.
Katy in the Flying Phallus was just so on point.🚀
My luxury is being able to afford decent quality food. Happy to keep my 20 year old car running and forgo foreign holidays to be able to put decent fuel in my body
I know what you mean. I just got to the point where I can eat ok. Car is ancient, and I live in a crap tiny hole in the wall, but at least I now have food, a bathroom, and a bed.
My luxury is having family members help me financially while I go through school. Otherwise I would 100% be relying on food stamps since I’m already on medicaid.
❤
Same got a 20 Yr old car, live in a one bed council flat, either wagyu steak organic eggs salmon, lovely countryside i share with millionaires, can't complain
2:22 At 23 I was running the arms room in the army as military police working from 4 am to 11:30 pm everyday…. But good job
Respect to you. ❤️🤍💙
@amandatyler4324 She isn't pretty she is emaciated
People and animals can learn way more than we think we can. Fact. I actually got an a in microbiology--- people, anything i😊s possible.
Mom looks baffled. Mom, this is your fault.
Nothing will ever top SNL’s Pepsi add
Blake Lively saying It Ends With Us, a movie that has domestic violence themes, is romantic is like saying the events in Schindler’s List was nothing more than rainbows and sunshine.
Bet if you ask Blake she would say Schindler's List was a feel good family movie! "Grab your popcorn grab your friends and go see the feel good movie Schindler's List!"
Well, that little girl did have a pretty red coat.
//s
she was told from management to talk about this.
@cinnamon8884 No she wasn't. In her lawsuit she gave to NYT there was a letter from management and it specifically said NOT to make light of the main theme of the movie.
It’s a ridiculous movie. It’s neither. It’s not a romance and it’s not about DV. It does both themes a disservice by not addressing either.
Luxuries I can't live without: electricity, hot water, soap, coffee, chocolate.
I liked her even less after that one.
funniest thing I have seen is Victoria Beckham in an interview called herself middle class and then was called out by her husband.
What’s more infuriating is they always give celebrities stuff for FREE
I know. I worked this event with a ton of celebrities recently and got to run the green room....I ended up leaving with 5 goodie bags....I made $3,000 selling it all in a couple days. I was so stoked. Thry just kept leaving and telling me to keep it!
I know!! Poor people should get the free stuff
We often describe our social status based on our upbringing, regardless of how much money we have as adults. Cate Blanchett was brought up in a middle class household, in Australia, we describe ourselves as being of a certain class based on our upbringing. She wasn't out of touch, she was being Australian.
ummmmm, NO we DON'T!
She was being totally correct, class isn't just about money it's about breeding and I doubt the upper classes would count her as one of them.
No we don’t. Class is a British thing NOT Australian.
Where was Drew Barrymore calling people on strike selfish for interrupting her film project ???
Sorry, my bad: a more accurate description here: Drew Barrymore faced criticism and backlash from the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and others for her decision to resume production of "The Drew Barrymore Show" during the 2023 writers' strike without the participation of WGA writers. This led to her being dropped as the host of the National Book Awards and sparked debate about her show's image and business practices. Ultimately, Barrymore reversed her decision and announced she would not bring the show back during the strike.
“I’m not a good cutter.” 🤣 Oh man, here in the Bahamas, that quote is especially funny lmao
Just to explain: in the Bahamas, a “cutter” (pronounced Cuttah) is a person you have a one-night-stand with.
Gwyneth Paltrow has had enough out of touch moments to compile he own video.
I love the cast of Better Call Saul mocking the out of touched for singing Imagine.
To be fair, Cate Blanchette grew up in a commonwealth country with a strong English cultural influence. Her use of “middle class” was, I think, used in the sense and manner the English use it. In which case - it was correct. It has nothing to do with her job or fame as an actress. Those things are covered by her phrase “I am privileged.”
I am not often a big defender of celebrities, but in this case the WatchMojo criticism is misplaced due to their rather lazy understanding of what was actually being said.
I thought the same, class and money aren’t the same thing, and people can be proud of coming from hard working class people.
The same ones who preach to us how to live our lives!
A young girl would probably be a fan. Who knows! We don't know her so we can't say for sure. During hard times, many people use music as therapy.
of course he should not have said that but he was young
@seeya205what also gets me is Bieber assuming that Anne Frank would have been a fan of his. Like….what would point to this? We shouldn’t assume these things. It’s not disrespectful
@michellecrocker2485 I don't get his point of saying it.
@seeya205nor do I
