Another dagger in the heart of the Acura TLX Type S at the Base trim ($56k). I wish the car had launch control but I have to assume that 0-60 is better than claimed. This car from a roll is probably much faster.
Base type s price is 52K u can only get it to 56k if it has every option and accessory available or a dealer mark up. And the car does have launch control it just isn’t bragging about it… yes I agree the car falls short in performance from factory but Honda mobile mechanic did a simple inlet tube upgrade and a Dow pipe and it can now do 13.0 to 12.8/9. Now imagine when a tunes get out? ruclips.net/video/R2UhjamJtrk/видео.html Oh and the 0-60 of the is500 is definitely better than claimed. More like 4.3-4.0
@@Nate-Aims yeah definitely, I think it can definitely get under 4 seconds with the right tuning as well. Idk if I would add anything aftermarket because it’s pretty great as it is. Not to mention with the rear slip differential it’s a beast at drifting

Most people aren’t buying the launch edition (only 500), so nowhere near $67k. Thusly most will fall in the $56-$61k range.
As last stands go,the V8 isn't going out with either a bang or whimper, but with a mighty, bellowing *ROAR!*
Lexus' contribution is certainly no different. And in my opinion, whichever brand you choose, whatever your taste and/or budget,it is certainly worth the price.
Very good points that you make!
I'm so early Joe hasn't even gotten to the door panels
I appreciate you making it to this one!😎👍🏻
All of your videos are consistently awesome! Thanks for the reviews!
Now imagine when a tunes get out? ruclips.net/video/R2UhjamJtrk/видео.html
Oh and the 0-60 of the is500 is definitely better than claimed. More like 4.3-4.0
@@RaY_77W yeah some reviewers have timed it at 4.3 the RC F is at 3.9 & this car isn’t that much heavier
@@doughboy5858 this car is only slower due to a smaller rear tire. I bet it will be on par with the rcf once you put a wider tire on.
@@Nate-Aims yeah definitely, I think it can definitely get under 4 seconds with the right tuning as well. Idk if I would add anything aftermarket because it’s pretty great as it is. Not to mention with the rear slip differential it’s a beast at drifting
@@doughboy5858 oh yeah! Probably the most fun you can have in a sedan along side the m3! I think of this as a newer e92 m3!
The wheels are pronounced as En Kay. LOL! Good review. I just bought a 2023 model and absolutely love it!
This is a beautiful car!
I totally feel the same with you!
This car is perfect for those of us that want a nice client-lunch car that you can also be a total hooligan in on the weekends!
It's worth the price, because when the competition starts to break down and their resell value dropped like crazy, this f sport holds its value like a fisherman caught a big trophy fish.
Woah, a V8 in 2021! ... How cool. I don't think I'd ever buy one, not in this day and age. But it is old school fun.
I can't wait for you to do the raptor and the all new chavy zr2
Trust me neither can I!
Thanks man
@@deshawnlovell4872 of course!
GMORNING JOE WOOOOOO BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!!!
Morning! I know it’s been a long time coming!
Same priced as a m340i but has 472 hp wow
I know right!
And much more torque from the m340i!
The is sounds so much better
This is a much, much smaller car than a TLX-S. Owned an IS350 for a few years. It was OK. It was too slow. This sounds like a lot of fun.
If you throw a good turbocharger on this one you may get 1000+hp🤔
That would be a build I would love to see!
@@RaitisRides 🤑
@@SIGSAUER_P320 oh yeah!
Alot more would have to be done just for that(really no ones touched 1000hp with these 5.0s anyway yet)
Thanks for your review!
Another great one Joe thank you. Man is anything affordable anymore? I'm in the market for 45k and under. Looking for a comfortable family hauler when my 3 kids and wife are in the car and still turns and takes off when it's just me. Any recommendations?
Prices are out of control! I would say Kia Stinger GT or GT-LINE.
That what I am leaning towards. I test drove a g70 with the 3.3t had a blast but the back seat room is a zonk!!!
@@slipknotron1626 I totally agree with you, plus the cargo space in the Stinger is massive.
@@RaitisRides thanks joe I'm going to check them out 👍
@@RaitisRides he means luxury branded
Lexus V8 is awesome! Love the styling, fit, and finish.
$61k is not bad for top trim.... But let's be honest the dealer markup will be stupid on these.
It will be interesting David to see how it all pans out.
Agreed! 1000%
I don’t think so, Lexus dealerships aren’t bad about that sort of thing.
@@redzoom7857 well I hope you're right because it seems every dealership is marking up any performance oriented car these days.
@@David-vg8ou I know Chevy was horrible about that with the new Vette and Dodge with any special Hellcat editions.
I don't even use the cd player in my 08 is250 6MT but I just like having it there. I actually got some nice and QUALITY music cds I found with my brother to listen to. So I am for the cd player. I wish the screen had less bezels tho.
I'll take it over the Sluggish Acura Type S any day...

Sorry, must be rona.
This will smoke the acura foresure it takes off like it has awd
@@Cynical496 😅😅🤣

Yes, I would go with the Lexus IS 500 hands down, that is my new dream car. Thank you so much for showing this one. Awesome Job Joe.
Hey Lori ! he gets so excited, you'll have to slap him on the hand for getting all worked up over those CURRRVES. Beautiful Lexus, its on my list. Not crazy about the speaker covers being the same color as the door panels though. Great otherwise. 😎👏👍
Love the sound, really hope they have auto lane centering and Adaptive Cruiser control that follow the front car all speed on Highway
Fingers crossed!
It has lane centering, adaptive cruise control and several other features.
