The battles are never from the same set. If they were, you'd probably see wins / losses that are not informative at all. Would you rather watch competitive battles or alignment decided battles with lag?
@GanetoPokemonGO to be honest, while I do understand what you're saying, is nice to see the bad alignment battles, so you can see how they go and mentally explore win conditions. More experience, whether your own or by watching others, is valuable when you inevitably encounter those RPS battles where you're searching for a win con.
