Her smile comes from her eyes as well, it's not that she *knows* how do do it but she feels it. Rather than a perfect show, japanese idols know how to deliver a soulful one, and regardless of slopinnes, it's their forte. Check the way Sae's smile also extends to her eyes.
She's just naturally making people smile. I looked at other Japanese trainees and it seemed they really put a smile to most people (from many comments that I saw). It's refreshing to see them performed :)
