The states could also condem the villains to death, but they probably don't because they see the villains as a way to keep the heroes under control, that's what scorpion seemed to imply to Peter once
@@ashna9225 They're afraid that once they willingly killed a villain once, they won't stop resolving their problems by killing. That's what Batman did in an alternate universe, he killed the Joker for what he did to his second Robin, and started killing all his villain, even those who had the potential for a redemption (and it's implied that Catwoman was among his victims) and that didn't sit well with the rest of the Justice league
You know, funny realization. Spider man is one of very few heroes where the "no kill policy" and "villains will target my loved ones if they know my identity" things actually make sense. In most other comics, these things have to be constantly reaffirmed by fans and the comics alike, particularly with batman, but with Spiderman its just a given that these two rules are absolutely true.
its because peter actually has things to lose, batman is a rich dude who lives in a mansion who could easily replace anything he loses aside from his butler, his identity being revealed would just mean he permanently becomes batman and killing a villain just makes him go crazy, its not interesting at all, spiderman is just a guy who lives in an apartment with his aunt, him having his identity leaked puts what little of a life he has in jeopardy and killing people squanders the lesson his uncle taught, theres also the fact that the criminals he fights are more or less just people who steal stuff and cause mischief, whereas batman villains actively kill people, so theres less incentive to kill the villain unless they are killing innocents
@@thephoenix4093 Yeah, I do, its a stupid way of explaining why batman doesnt kill, its not wrong to have him not want to kill his enemies, but to have it be some stupid explanation that he will become a mass murdering psychopath if he even offs a single guy is really dumb, I can understand if his logic is simply just "Its not my place to kill people, the law will decide their fate", because thats what it is in the arkham games, and thats why I love those games, it even allows some of the villains to die without breaking batmans code. Spiderman's morality meanwhile is logical and simple, his entire motto that he got from his uncle is literally to use his powers for good, hes just a normal dude who is trying his best, its simple and sweet but has enough depth to it that you can tell interesting stories and even technically get away with him killing his villains like in the Tobey Maguire movies where they cause their own deaths. You dont need some super dark and deep explanation why a character doesnt kill the bad guy, just a good one.
@@BitrateBilly who told you that the reason he doesn't kill is that he will become a mass murderer if he'll kill? even under the red hood movie didn't go that far, for one he won't ever touch a gun to kill because of his trauma. that leaves out the most efficent way of killing someone. and then there's his parents creating the asylum. people who believed in rehabilitation no matter what, and his morality is based on theirs for obvious reasons. but what's more is actually that batman is not trying to end crime by beating up criminals, he's not that ambitious, and I personally thoguht the dark knight trillogy made it clear since it was straight up spelled out for people. the point of batman is being a symbol, imagine living in gotham city, learning that a single guy in his pijamas beat up 10 criminals on his own with his fists. would you really look at a few guy and if you'd see a criminal trying to steal a purse from a woman, would you still see the guy as a threat? perhaps not. or at least you believe in what batman repsents, which is fighting back against corruption and crime. now imagine the same guy gunning down people on the street like the punisher, even people who stole food because they're hungry, would you still see him as inspiration? even if you'd agree with the course action of killing. if batman has to resort to killing it'd signal other people its okay to kill criminals. and then people without a proper understanding of who deserves to die and who doesn't start to kill. and who is the reason? batman. that's a so greater explanation and not even that edgy compared to people who actually kill like the punisher. what else is that the joker doesn't actually break out that often, it's many seperate worlds but in canon he actually barely broke out once a year. and at some point even cured.
Loved spiderman as a character and as as hero more than anyone. He is definitely the MOST relatable and yet still never back down on his responsibilities with powers

Mr.Narrator you're mistaking 2 words. Rogue and Rouge. examples of both being used as names Rogue from X-Men, the girl that steals powers by touch and Rouge the bat from Sonic the hedgehog. You want to say rogues gallery when referring to the villains. Rouge is the pink blush makeup that you put on cheeks.
Imagine if Peter still had his Evolved state, the Other, but also the Venom Symbiote on top, just imagine, what if he on top of those 2 also kept the Uni-Power, being Cosmic Spider-Man

I never heard the stories where Peter had cancer or gave cancer because of his radiation from the spider. It tragically makes sense though. Spiderman is loved by the fans, but you would think the writers hate him. There was no reason to get his eyes ate like that, or to erase his future kid from existence. Spiderman is the persona of a tragic hero.
I'm thinking of something when watching this video. Why do Dr. Connors use lizards regenerative ability for his research even though lizards can't actually regenerate their limbs ? They can regenerate their tail but even that are not perfect (you can tell if a lizard have ever lost and regenerate their tail). The creature with a lot better regenerative ability and can actually regrow one of their legs are Axolotls. Can you imagine The Lizard but with Axolotl looks instead of a lizard.
You know what else while we're on the subject ! I put a spider in the microwave as a kid because I hoped it would become radioactive and bite me ...I held my hand in that microwave waiting for that glorious bite ..I'd got my spidey suit and even had my name 'Spiderboy' ...I'd started to worry how I'd get by as I didn't know how to make webbing and the lack of tall buildings in Bournemouth southern England when mom came into the kitchen and asked why I had my hand in the microwave door ...never did see the spider it must of survived or burnt so small I couldn't see it ...used to hope it was in the house somewhere and would bite me and definitely not my younger brother on the bottom bunk ...mad times

I think Peter must be the most resilient hero in the Marvel universe. It's a miracle that all the traumatizing experiences and tortures he went through didn't completely ruined him to a point of no return. Anyone else going through the sames things as Spidey would have become a traumatized depressive mess
The 3rd one is not only Peter and MJ's fault (Aunt May wouldn't want Peter to give up his marriage to MJ to save and would want to pass on to be with Uncle Ben) but Joe Quesda's fault for that Peter and MJ's marriage is not good for Spider-Man comics which is a load of horse@#$& because that marriage made Spider-Man a better comic!
I would say the new run where Spider-Man sacrifices everything for MJ only for her to cheat on him and leave him for Paul was pretty bad too, maybe in this top 10.
Peter sure has a strong mental strength. Any normal person would have cracked after all the horrifying things Peter has went through, but he just keeps on going.
And to later find out that the girl that lead him to mephisto was an illusion of his future daughter that he'll never get to meet. Such a stupid and selfish decision
@@starkilla5439es, i thought about it too, but no one knows his secret identity. But am I the only one who wants to know what that long conversation was about with Mj?

I actually owned one of the issues of the Kraven storyline that my father passed down onto me, honestly very dark and disturbing but it’s among my favorite Spider-Man storylines!!
I feel like the Marvel Zombies Spider-Man had it the worst but there’s countless different horrible things that have happened to Peter across the multiverse so I dunno

I was 12 when Kravens Last Hunt was happening, and bought every issue. It blew my mind. I had forgotten about Kraven shooting himself at the end, that's pretty heavy. The art in the storyline for #1 on the list was terrible. It reminded me a little of Frank Miller's Dark Knight stuff, but not nearly as good.
I’m surprised you didn’t bring up when Peter saved a kid from a robbery gone wrong and even tutored the kid for a while before the initial robbers killed the kid.
Interesting video. There are a few mistakes-or perhaps more accurately a blending of re-telling and reboots. For example, Eddie Brock as portrayed in the classic McFarlane art you show was a reporter, not a photographer. In the Sam Raimi movie he was a photographer though. All in all though, good job!
Gwen's death wasn't his fault he only tried to save her, she was either going to fall to her demise and hit the pavement or spiderman had to try and save her by catching her with his webs yes she didn't hit the floor completely but the whiplash got her to break her neck it's unfortunate but not his fault. He really did all he could to save an already marked for dead person.
Spiderman my favorite hero of all time we have things in common in the mental department haven't been through devastating things like he has but yea I use humor to make me feel better and block things out
I'm a Spiderman fan, probably my favorite, but honestly it sort of annoys me how everyone and every story keeps emphasizing how Spidey is always holding back, how powerful he truly is, but then he gets his ass beat all the time by villains that aren't even very strong. Surely, he could just punch a bit harder when he sees his attacks aren't doing much? I don't know, perhaps I just have an issue with comic writers or plot convenience.
There's not that time when Peter was mentally and physically tortured by Norman for days and almost broken by this, or everything Kindred did to Peter in the recent arcs
I think it's because it didn't really change past events that already happened. Aunt may stayed dead and the all the conflict that happened before Dr.Strange's new spell still happened. The only thing that was changed was now no one know's who both peter parker/spider-man is. It was a bit flawed but at the same time more respectful that No way home adknowledged past events this peter caused and chose not to retcon them.
Damn. Going through any of that alone would probably be enough to break the average person especially that number 1 spot. But as for the number 3 spot that he brought on himself. How could he be so stupid? He really thought telling/showing the world he was Spider-Man would be a good idea? I’m not trying to say he deserved what he got but come on peter. With all the dangerous and murderous villains you faced you didn’t stop to think about how you could put the people you care about in jeopardy? Stupidity at its finest folks.
To be fair at the time the government was getting pretty sick of the super heros destroying the city thousands of times and basically if peter doesn't reveal his identity as a way to give super heros a good name then he will be hunted down by the government etc etc.
@@loyaldog5741 Pretty much. After Aunt May got shot, Peter went to Tony for help, and he basically gave him the finger. Though he did pay for her medical bills if I remember correctly.
The worst thing that ever happened to Spider-Man was the success of friends, and Marvel’s decision to turn him from a tough, dedicated hero who talks trash into Ross with webs.
i remeber a part when spidey fails to save a kid he was filled with guilt and the kid's parents blame him for they son's death. no matter how long the incident happen that failure will stay in peter mind.
man these drawing are for sure beautiful and detailled, nothing to envy from mangas, as a jojo fan, i can see that the creator of jojo definitly have inspirations from these comics, many drawings look very similar
Man, he can't catch a break maybe if he had an infinity gauntlet he could bring back his marriage and fix a few things in his life or he should go without responsibility and kill a few villains starting with green goblin
All I hear are Peter’s worst moments. Let’s do a top 20 on the best things that ever happened to him like meeting Mary Jane or finding out he has a little sister.
In my school vr game there is a bit where goalius took on spider man during which they teamed up temporarily to fight the ultimate life form and it ended with goalius sad and carrying a grave that in it is Peter Parker and goalius with tears down his face saying good bye my friend and puts a widow lily flower on his grave and then walked off ( he was killed during the battle against the ultimate life form he was killed by noris packard a zeon ace and the mobile suit the goof custom ( thanks to pym tech every mobile suit can go into sd mode ) and when it happened goalius saw it and went into a blind rage and killed noris packard )
To be fair, if peter never took of the black suit, then venom wouldn't be an issue, despute all the evil alien bs, venom is actually an intelligent creature capable of complex thought and emotions, and wasn't evil by nature, had Spider-Man just understood him better and communicated rather than trying to get rid of him by force venom wouldn't have become an antagonist. Legitimately the only reason the whole evil suit thing started was because one of the new Spider-Man writers didn't like the black suit and wanted an excuse to go back to the red and blue. Spider-Man only had good stuf happen to him until that dude decided, why not make Spider-Man do shit and blame it on the living suit who is just chillin there.
@@jornaminsanders2256 that was retcon added later, which only applies to venom versions that were gained in secret wars. Any other venom has nothing to tho with that. Also the amount of time spent with wade wasn't enough to do much to venom at most it gave him a bit of a temper and made him slightly more antagonistic than he would've normally been. And like I said, this is new retcon, I'm talking about the original reason venom is even a thing.
Wait, but what about the moment where in both the comics and the animated series where he loses Mary Kane twice? He first loses her when she is sucked into a wormhole and then loses her again after she was cloned using Hydroman’s DNA and falling apart vanishing/dying a second time (the second time being after he told her of his identity and they got married)
Idk why but I kinda want this to be the way Peter dies in the mcu and then have Miles legitimately take over as the new Spiderman. Not now obviously but when his time comes then the last hunt story could make kraven such a good and terrifying villain.
I'd definitely say that the zombies version of Peter had it the hardest. Killed the people he loved over and over again. Both directly and indirectly. He also managed to kill and entire universe. Sad shit.
Are we sure the deal with Mephisto was the wrong decision since in the new timeline Connor's son is alive at least and Connor can still adopt his human form and personality ?
I’m really surprised you didn’t mention Spider-Man’s darkhold storyline. Maybe it doesn’t count since it may very well not be something that actually happened but it’s still a really dark and sad story

You also have to commend peters restraint I mean in one comic doc ock took over his body and punched scorpions jaw off
@@BitrateBilly so... even though batman's morality goes far deeper than just "im so young and naive so I don't want to kill" and you prefer that? ok.
@@BitrateBilly who told you that the reason he doesn't kill is that he will become a mass murderer if he'll kill? even under the red hood movie didn't go that far, for one he won't ever touch a gun to kill because of his trauma. that leaves out the most efficent way of killing someone.
and then there's his parents creating the asylum. people who believed in rehabilitation no matter what, and his morality is based on theirs for obvious reasons.
but what's more is actually that batman is not trying to end crime by beating up criminals, he's not that ambitious, and I personally thoguht the dark knight trillogy made it clear since it was straight up spelled out for people.
the point of batman is being a symbol,
imagine living in gotham city, learning that a single guy in his pijamas beat up 10 criminals on his own with his fists.
would you really look at a few guy
and if you'd see a criminal trying to steal a purse from a woman, would you still see the guy as a threat? perhaps not. or at least you believe in what batman repsents, which is fighting back against corruption and crime.
now imagine the same guy gunning down people on the street like the punisher,
even people who stole food because they're hungry, would you still see him as inspiration? even if you'd agree with the course action of killing. if batman has to resort to killing it'd signal other people its okay to kill criminals. and then people without a proper understanding of who deserves to die and who doesn't start to kill. and who is the reason? batman.
that's a so greater explanation and not even that edgy compared to people who actually kill like the punisher.
what else is that the joker doesn't actually break out that often, it's many seperate worlds but in canon he actually barely broke out once a year. and at some point even cured.
Loved spiderman as a character and as as hero more than anyone. He is definitely the MOST relatable and yet still never back down on his responsibilities with powers
Very relatable as we all shoot web fluid everywhere

This is true pain and suffering that Peter Parker must go through this for the his Life of existence whenever you see these comics about Peter Parker just want to give him a big hug and tell spider man you love him with your heart ❤️❤️❤️
Yes I agree 😭 some fans can be cruel and say Peter deserves all this suffering for not making the right decisions during his life, but I know that he's one of the most altruistic and heroic person in the whole Marvel universe who went through more suffering than he could ever deserve and needs all the hugs and love he can get 😢
@@maellesaliou5871 exactly Spider-Man aka Peter Parker deserves all the love that anyone could ever get if they could see just be there in the same spot and position that he was in and see all the ultimate versions of himself to the alternate versions they would all understand

Not enough People try to put themselves in his shoes, and I have to admit, if I could save the life of my only living parent left (and I love my parents A LOT) and the price to pay was just my marriage, and I was already under the impression that I couldn't have kids (MJ and Peter still don't know they lost their daughter because of Norman and not Peter' genetics at this point) and God himself refused to save this one single life (when he did it once for others) and told me "nah you're condemned to suffer all your life" then my answer to the devil would also have been Yes.

"The saddest people are the ones who have the brightest smile"

Sounds like Joker.
The writers need to stop making this wholesome & beautiful character suffer and let him grow and have a happy ending that he deserves.
Spidey definitely was dealt some really bad cards in his stories😬 Great video 🔥
it's amazing how he's able to resist just going all out on his villians sometimes, since he could kill the more human ones like doc ock and scorpion in one punch most likely
I think Peter must be the most resilient hero in the Marvel universe. It's a miracle that all the traumatizing experiences and tortures he went through didn't completely ruined him to a point of no return. Anyone else going through the sames things as Spidey would have become a traumatized depressive mess
Like Batman. He's dealt with quite the trauma train himself.
Same goes for animanga folks like Guts or Yuji Itadori!
That was Joe's main goal as soon as he got into Marvel
Gotta love how it was such a shitshow it was made non-canon soon as it was over.

Peter sure has a strong mental strength. Any normal person would have cracked after all the horrifying things Peter has went through, but he just keeps on going.
So Peter sacrifices his marriage to save Aunt May who is …

I actually owned one of the issues of the Kraven storyline that my father passed down onto me, honestly very dark and disturbing but it’s among my favorite Spider-Man storylines!!
I feel like the Marvel Zombies Spider-Man had it the worst but there’s countless different horrible things that have happened to Peter across the multiverse so I dunno
When Peter turned into a zombie and fully aware of he's action of the aftermath when he devours he's loved ones and all the people around him
Man they must hate Peter with a burning passion to do him this dirty across multiple universes
NARRATOR: 1:33 “Like many of Spider-Man’s other ‘rouges’…”
EVERYONE: “Yes, we too like the reds, crimsons, and scarlets our heroes fight.”
The version of Peter Parker in the Animated Series who became Spider Carnage would probably give the entries on this list a run for their money.
Mans really ended the multiverse and forced beyonder to intervene and make the technical first spider man multiverse

I’m surprised you didn’t add the one where he turns into a zombie and eats MJ and Aunt May with his conscience still there
I’m surprised you didn’t bring up when Peter saved a kid from a robbery gone wrong and even tutored the kid for a while before the initial robbers killed the kid.
As Spider Man being my favorite superhero and the fact he is unique, this was something I needed to learn about.
If peter was in the room with the avengers when they were lifting Thor's hammer, the hammer would deem him worthy.
Spider-Man reign is the darkest spidey story of all time
Spiderman my favorite hero of all time we have things in common in the mental department haven't been through devastating things like he has but yea I use humor to make me feel better and block things out
I think Sandman turning Peters insides out, deserves a Place on this List
Wow Spidey needs some plot armor
The worst part was when he missed the part where it's his problem.
😂😂😂😐
I'm a Spiderman fan, probably my favorite, but honestly it sort of annoys me how everyone and every story keeps emphasizing how Spidey is always holding back, how powerful he truly is, but then he gets his ass beat all the time by villains that aren't even very strong. Surely, he could just punch a bit harder when he sees his attacks aren't doing much? I don't know, perhaps I just have an issue with comic writers or plot convenience.
What about that one story where he became a Zombie? Thats got to be worse... he still was sentient
She-hulk would still say cat calling is worse

For future reference, you’re saying rouge instead of rogue in regards to the “rogue’s gallery”
There's not that time when Peter was mentally and physically tortured by Norman for days and almost broken by this, or everything Kindred did to Peter in the recent arcs
It's so strange that No Way Home is an adaptation of One More Day, yet it's loved so much more than OMD (as it should be)
There are some who hate No Way Home, but I don't give them much attention
I think it's because it didn't really change past events that already happened. Aunt may stayed dead and the all the conflict that happened before Dr.Strange's new spell still happened. The only thing that was changed was now no one know's who both peter parker/spider-man is. It was a bit flawed but at the same time more respectful that No way home adknowledged past events this peter caused and chose not to retcon them.
Just pointing out that 'rogue' and 'rouge' are two different words with vastly different meanings. Superheroes do not have 'rouge's galleries'.
Rouge no rogue? 🤣 It just kept digging in my brain every time.
*"......"*
*"Little one begged....."*
A simple quote that means so much more in it's context
He trusted that Tony would help keep his family safe.

The worst thing that ever happened to Spider-Man was the success of friends, and Marvel’s decision to turn him from a tough, dedicated hero who talks trash into Ross with webs.
I wouldn't say the old Spiderman had the worst life. He at least got laid.
i remeber a part when spidey fails to save a kid he was filled with guilt and the kid's parents blame him for they son's death. no matter how long the incident happen that failure will stay in peter mind.

man these drawing are for sure beautiful and detailled, nothing to envy from mangas, as a jojo fan, i can see that the creator of jojo definitly have inspirations from these comics, many drawings look very similar
What about the where the world is diseased and Mary Jane is just a corpse at a table and Peter uses his webs to keep the city held together?

The One More Day and Spider-Man Reign are probably the two stories I hate the most. They were just so dumb and very out of character for Peter.

Deadpool was the reason it was violent.
Peter didn't find out the suit was alive until after his 1st fight with Puma (I believe)
I feel awful I laugh at the last part 🤣
Wait, but what about the moment where in both the comics and the animated series where he loses Mary Kane twice? He first loses her when she is sucked into a wormhole and then loses her again after she was cloned using Hydroman’s DNA and falling apart vanishing/dying a second time (the second time being after he told her of his identity and they got married)

That last old man Spider-Man story could be the perfect pitch for tobeys story. They could make it very emotional
