    Love watching anything this guy is cooking. Very down to earth and much more like the real life experience with the eggs than most other videos. Thank you.

    I don't get it, how do eggs taste different on a big green egg vs. a normal frying pan inside of the kitchen?

    • @OutdoorHome
      @OutdoorHome  3 года назад +2

      Subtle smokey flavor from cooking over charcoal. Thanks for watching!

      @@OutdoorHome but the egg is only over the charcoal for not even 3 minutes, then it is done. Are you sure that is enough time?

    • @OutdoorHome
      @OutdoorHome  3 года назад

      @@nadirahmed4224 You've also got the peppers, onions, and sausage that's cooked in the wok as well. It's not going to be overly smokey, but most probably don't want overpowering smoke flavor in their breakfast. You could always smoke the sausage beforehand? That would increase the smoke flavor.

      @@devinkim4588 so you are saying it will not affect the taste in any way

      @@devinkim4588 to cook an egg it takes about a minute and a half I really doubt that's going to affect the taste

    Just got the wok. How did you season it when you first get it?

    • @OutdoorHome
      @OutdoorHome  3 года назад +2

      It's a very simple process. All you'll need is some canola oil and scallions. First, wash off the factory oil that's used to protect the metal. Then dry your wok thoroughly. Bring your wok to medium heat and add your canola oil. Pick up the wok and swirl the oil around to coat the wok thoroughly. Add your scallions and stir them around the bottom and sides of the wok. The color of the wok will gradually change from shiny new silver to light yellow-brown. Cool and Wash the Wok (no dish soap). Dry the wok by heating it until no water droplets are left. That's it!
      Thanks for watching!

    Nice view video but your egg to veggie/meat ratio was a little off don't you think?

    • @OutdoorHome
      @OutdoorHome  4 года назад +2

      The beauty of the scramble is that anyone can mix the perfect ratio for themselves. Thanks for watching!

      I don’t disagree. Just that your ratio is anything but perfect. Just sayin’. Actually, just kidding around. Thanks for the videos and happy barbecuing, grilling etc etc on The Best Cooking Machine (BGE).

    Way to much work for that. Just getting the egg hot and the cleanup later is a complete deterrent. Got an egg as a xmas present and honestly don't see what the hype is all about.

      I can see that, but it's a lifestyle choice on how to cook as much as anything.

      You can cook over the wok at varying temperatures. We kept it relatively low for wok cooking since eggs can be delicate. Thanks for watching!
