On Ilkla Moor Baht ‘At (Leslie Sarony - 1934) on Decca 10 Gramophone

To commemorate Yorkshire Day, I thought it would be appropriate to play the Yorkshire anthem “On Ilkla Moor Baht ‘At” - to find the only copy in the record library was recorded in May 1934 by Leslie Sarony who came from Surbiton in Surrey ! I do hope I’ll be forgiven for this post, but I suppose it could’ve been worse, he could have come from Lancashire ! (and anyway, his 'Tyke' accent is somewhat amusing ! ). It’s playing here on my 1939 Decca 10 portable gramophone.
