Yeah and BOTH are SOOO bad for their charachters. Jayce going hell and figuring out what he build, and ekko going to heaven just to have to leave it. 2nd one is the worse one for sure.
@@Ztsakkeus "so bad for their characters"? Both are good for their characters, they're bad experiences. Neither is worse, neither is even a choice. That's not his Powder. That's not his own body, he's piloting someone else's body, stealing their life and experiences, just like Viktor does.
For those that don't speak french: The song played during the date scene with Ekko and Jinx is from Stromae (You may have heard his other songs like Formidable). "Ma meilleure ennemie c'est toi, Fuis moi. Le pire c'est toi et moi" translated to English means: My best enemy is you. Distance yourself from me. The worst is you and me. It's a really sad song that tells Ekko's resolve to go back and save his people, despite having everything he ever wanted right in front of him.
In case it wasn't clear enough, we're seeing what happened BEFORE Jayce came back and put a hole in Viktor's chest. Because it feels like you thought this happens afterwards.
No no, they watched this episode directly after watching episode 6, so they are still reeling from what happened. Don't worry, they got two more episodes before peeps tell them what's what 😂
Fun Facts: The dance scene with Ekko and Powder was animated in 1:4 or 1 frame per 4 seconds- 4 seconds is the amount of time Ekko can time travel. Also, the song that was playing was entirely in French, since the animation studio was located in France and many of the songs were written by French artists.
Think you were missunderstanding, this scene with Jayce is before he appears in episode 5 and what he does in episode 6. He does what he does in episode 6 because of this episode. He is stopping hextech by killing Viktor
If it makes you feel better, the species professor heimerdinger is doesn’t die, when they “die” they teleport to their universe/planet/dimension of origin, and just chill there with their species, not like a heaven sort of way but they just live there like it’s their own earth
So people pointed out that Powder in this universe has less gems than in our original world. It leads to the speculation that the explosion was bigger in the alternate world and that didn't just kill Vi, but also Jayce and Cait. The loss of Jayce prevents the research into hextech since Viktor and Jayce never meet up in that time line. It also gives us a reason for why none of the 3 show up in this time line and why Jayce ends up somewhere else instead.
It’s specified in the wiki that Cait and Vi are soulmates in every universe except the one in which they both die, so it’s likely that Cait and Jayce died in that explosion as well
it could also be that this time the council went through with his exile, since there was a victim of the explosion this time or maybe Viktor didn't arrive in time to stop him from walking off the edge in S1E2
@JM-nothing-more if we take the wiki stating Vi and Cait are always paired, it means Cait must have died there, and she was further from the blast than Jayce originally so the most likely scenario is that all 3 of them died in the explosion. That said, we're all just speculating, so there's not really a correct answer.
its not just Vi dying. Heimer came to this world three years earlier. He went to the undercity and actually helped instead of doing nothing on the council. Jayce likely died in this world too. If not in the blast that took Vi, he likely did kill himself because his science killed somebody. Viktor would not have gone to save him. So Powder withholding the gems, no Jayce/Viktor pursung hextech, and heimer helping zaun, everybody was thriving.
a great palate cleansing episode, that also showed Jayce's motivation for killing Viktor, because if he doesn't EVERYONE will die in Piltover/Zaun if you remeber from episode 5, when Jinx and Vi go to the mines, and they get to that room that Vander and Silco used to use, and there was the note from Vander to Silco, i believe in this alternate universe, Silco found that note and, maybe coupled with Violet's death, was able to find a way to reconcile with Vander. i am so excited for the next episode, it has my favorite song of the series, and the scene it is in, is brilliant and one of my favorite scenes in the series
Jaycen got the worst of it in the inter-realities, no wonder he came back unhinged (what is seen in this chapter happens before the previous one chronologically). This also shows that there is a LOL multiverse that I don't know if it will be divisive but I guess it will create opinions. It's funny how everything seems to be much better without hextech, except Vi is dead. Heimendirger is a yordle so he could have been resurrected after his disintegration. Jaycen escapes from hell knowing what will happen and Echo leaves a perfect world, although seeing as he was inside the mind of another Echo I suppose that if he hadn't left there would have been negative consequences.
" This also shows that there is a LOL multiverse that I don't know if it will be divisive but I guess it will create opinions." That explains where all the different Skins come from :P
My favorite episode ekko and Hiemer are the goats also just so you know yordles (hiemers and smeeches race) they can’t die and respawn when their physical bodies are damaged.
After reading all the comments here, it seems to me that no one in the comment section actually knows anything about the League of Legend's lore, lol. Jayce was in a place, or should I say a region called Mt. Targon. Mt. Targon is a holy place where the celestial gods reward anyone who can climb up the mountain and make it to the top. They are granted power or become an aspect. Many have tried to make it and failed, and one out of 10,000 people actually have successfully done it. That's why you see so many dead people when jayce is trying to climb to the top. Those represent all the people who failed to make it.
Except for the fact you can clearly see the ruins of Piltover around the base of the *tower,* which is why Jayce is all "It can't be!", whereas Targon is a mountain of monumental scale that is hundreds of miles from any kind of civilization, further compounded by all the dead bodies and corruption caused by the bad ending for episode 9 yet to happen. He clearly climbs to the top of the hex tower, to see what's at the epicenter of the destruction of the city, not some mountain thousands of miles away. Unless you think he somehow walked all that way on a dodgy leg as well, for some random reason?
(non-spoiler) Probably S2EP7 is my favorite episode, because it's a scenario where "What could've been". Also it kinda feels like Ekko was the catalyst of all of this event. "The Boy Who Saw What Could've Been", "The Boy Saviour" It's like he had a choice to stay, he WANTED to but he has responsibilities and his people need him. Also few details that I saw(non-spoiler): -Jinx dances like her mom -Heimer while stuck did his best on improving Zaun and Pilt (i think) -Heimer also went back to his roots and decided to do Science! -OMG THE DANCE, 4fps & 4 secs a reference to Ekko's ult in League -Jayce wanting to kill himself for failing to create hextech, now desperate to survive with grit and will -Reason why Heimer exploded is that Heimer is a magical creature known as a "Bandle" where he is filled with magic, it's probably one of the reasons why he exploded. Also don't worry! Heimer is still alive according to his lore in League but we don't know for sure if Riot will decide to retcon it again. 1 episode to go for the finale!
I imagine the course of events was something like: The kids went on the job but there was the explosion that (this time) killed Vi. Jayce was then exiled. Not just for messing with hextech, but that in doing so, a young girl from the undercity was killed. Jayce was also then not around to prevent Victor from killing himself. The death of Vi would likely have brought Vander and Silco back together. Who then pushed to have Zaun recognized by Piltover with their combined efforts. Also without Hextech, Piltover never became as wealthy. So with a more modest economy and Zaun being more upstanding, the wealth disparity and harsh policing didn't develop. Leading to a more equal and unified city. Caitlyn would likely have just stayed as a noble, maybe also joining the council.
DONT PANIC! Hyperdinger is a creature called a Yordle, they are functionally imortal. whenever a Yordle dies it is transported back to its home dimention, with minimal damage... I dont know If this means Hymerdinger got transported back to OUR version of his dimention or if hes now in the alternate timelines Yordle dimention... but I take solace in knowing he didnt truly die.
It's not a world where Vi died and everything was better; it's a world where jayce was not there (and vi died because he didn't knock on the door while they were robbing) so everything was better without the hextech
It seems fascinating within this episode with us following the events of a moment of “What if” with Ekko and with Jayce facing off “Nightmare” vibes. Also I like to share that this episode really branch its story with outstanding character development for both characters. With my eyes and mind to share that Ekko is getting is true origin of being “The Boy Savior” storyline with the creation of his time ability, while Jayce is being a Viktor moment with a falling deep in the UnderCity. While in the undercity, he is pulling a Viktor by a broken leg then getting injected by the virus flowing in his system to cause damage to his health. So interesting but crafty to the writers 😄 With all said, I really appreciate the moment with Ekko and Powder “Jinx” scenes. As the first one with the opening by the Vinyl Record at the beginning shows what kind of episode we might face, next the scene with Ekko looking at his reflection through the glass, till powder show up, but if you look closely at the reflection of Powder. You can spot Jinx in the reflection, then with the dance scene, the music playing is a French song with a unique name but in the lyrics saying “I love you, but I leave you” if my memory serves me perfectly on that lyric drop. Till we see both dancing and the animators say they wanted the dance to be “4 Frames Per Second ” to make see through Ekko’s Time ability being 4 Seconds. So lastly the necklace Ekko made for Power is a nice looking flower but deep down, you can see Ekko’s and Powder’s face in the image if you pause it to trace over correctly to spot it. 😉 So with all my commenting this, this series really really have so much details that I am glad to watch with you both and the community.
