That bell still sounds OK to me. Looking back, I'm not sure I've even filmed a mechanical bell in person this year. Oh well, I'll probably get one soon enough!
Well, it's clicking a lot, especially at the beginning. Most bells I've heard sound much better than this one, which reminds me of the MI bell that used to be at Moulton Street in Decatur. Hopefully you'll be able to record one soon!
I don't know what it is but I always liked the sound of the horn from the distance of the crossing as shown in the first 30 seconds of the video.
