They said that they were guys as humans and girls as sailor scouts, but they might not have gotten that they were disguised the whole time. Honestly, I guess I should have known the whole time, but sometimes you might not catch that. XD But thanks for telling me anyway. Sorry for sounding stupid. I honestly love this song. :D *jams*
And don't feel bad about not noticing the disguise. It threw me for a loop when I learned that Zoisite is a man (he is a woman in the English dub). When I found out, I felt dumb for not paying attention to the flat chest when I first watched.
The Starlights are female in the end, but in the anime they disguised themselves as boys in the anime, They thought they would have better success attracting their princess as a male pop band than as themselves, but in their sailor forms, they turn back into the girls they truly are. In the manga, they were female all the time, and this move ticked Naoko Takeuchi off. It was basically one of those things the male artists did that gave the anime the more male perspective that it had.
Seiya/Fighter is flipping awesome! I love her so much. I really wish in the anime Usagi and Seiya would be together forever. I love the starlights they are awesome. they have the best theme ever. I was so sad when they left. but I still wished that Usagi and Seiya to be together I don't like mamoru at all. Seiya is way better. my loyalty will remain with Seiya now and forever.

But yeah, Naoko didn't like it one bit. Her response to it was that only girls could be sailor senshi.
