900 in an XCR and Switchback! Dynamix suspension! Improved ergos and reduced weight! What a sweet lineup! I’m still exploring but I don’t see anything to celebrate their 70th anniversary!! Thanks for bringing is this rundown Snowtrax!
Yeah, only 262 miles on my 24. Certainly not ordering a 25 and there will be a lot of 24s sitting at dealers for many months to come, plenty of deals with private party sales too.
@@roller_47 I wish I got that. I could have lake ridden and put in that kind of miles, but I just didn't feel like doing lake laps all weekend (on the few decent weekends). I got the most miles in my group, and I probably only put on 20-30.
Beautiful machines for sure. Let’s get into the longevity conversation about Polaris. The horror stories that are out there about Polaris and engines blowing up is something that needs to be addressed. Serious issue.
Also, to address your comments about the XC, there is carry-over product from 2024 (like everyone else too) because of the crappy snow year so the XC is still available with no 2025 updates if that makes sense.
DYNAMIX and putting the 9R in a bunch of sleds is a pretty big intro. My guess is they're working on a turbo 4-stroke but very likely taking their time to validate.
Does the 9R have a 2 year warranty? Also how quick does the 9R accelerate compared to an 850? You said its very smooth running. Does the engine have a counter balancer? Thanks. This motor seems flat out awesome.
@@pajamatime5750 at least we know Smartshox works with no issues or recalls. Dynamics could be like a clutch bolt. I wouldn't touch anything Polaris for few years until they prove their products include quality.
Serious question guys. You drove the mxz xrs turbo and the new 9 R with the new shock pkg. if you were buying a new machine which one would you buy. I’m a ski doo guy but I am weighing my options and want the best bang for my money
Gonna come down to what you want. The new front suspension on the MXZ's is excellent. We'll have some more about this coming soon. That said, the 9R is amazing.
The XCR suspension is awesome but DYNAMIX makes the front end on the VR1 handle even better than it did before - particularly in the corners. The conundrum is how bad do you want DYNAMIX vs how bad do you want the 9R engine...
The smart shock/Dynamix thing: I have no doubt that for the 2% of extremely good and aggressive riders it will make a huge difference. But of course the other 95% will think they need it even though they don't. Its just like the guys who go 50 on their 850s's. Or the RMK owners who bomb around their farm.
Still no turbo 4S option. What a disappointment for Polaris. How long is it going to take to get a high Hp turbo in the sleds. Looks like ski doo wins the 4S battle for another year.
Yeah they do win the battle for another year. It’s not a huge disappointment either. More people buy the 2 strokes they offer than 4 strokes anyway. It’ll come eventually.
Great. Another super lite sled. Trade off with quality. I'll wait a few more years to see if quality has returned. China bearing, recalls, stop rides, many costly derailed trips due to problems. I don't care about more innovation, just improve what you already sold. I use to consider AC selling problems, but Polaris has topped them..
So basically, Polaris is a little head of the game they’re going to phase out the 850 and the 900 will become their base well done I’m a ski doo guy but skidoo gotta do something Arctic cat 858 doesn’t compare to the 9r or skidoo 850 sooooo
What? They’re just giving us a rundown of the new machines for 2025. Do you want them to sit there and act depressed like you???? They’re excited - there’s new stuff. It’s exciting. Don’t be so miserable!
can anyone from snowtrax please tell me when they actually paid for their own snowmobile? They say if their money, they would pay it. When have they ever done it?
I'll confirm for you right now as we've NEVER claimed to have purchased any of the new sleds we evaluate on the show. We've explained this a number of times but it clearly needs repeating. The snowmobiles you see on the show are short-term loaned to us by the manufacturers - ALL OF THEM. We keep them for the season, evaluate them, write about them, photograph them for our various social channels, produce walk-around videos for YT and reviews for the show and then at the end of the season we give them back. We've been doing this with SUPERTRAX magazine for more than 30 years. This is how just about every media does it including any snowmobile print magazine you've ever read. I hope this addresses your concerns.
Dudes....I love you guys, but the single rail was a Cat design. I understand Cat is finally getting back in the game but the new Catylist should be a game changer, time will tell. Polaris has the most recalls in both sleds and ATV's. One thing that Cat does better than Poo is spend the time regarding R&D in house to ensure quality to the consumer rather than pushing product to the buyer and having us do the R&D for them. Always love your content, just don't agree at times but that's what makes good conversation and debate.
Disappointing. Other than the new active suspension there is no mention of the high performance trail sleds. I've been a Polaris fan forever, but I'm think they'll lose more market share to AC and Ski Doo.
What? No mention of high performance trail sleds? What’s the assault and XCR they discussed with the 9R? What’s the VR1 and Dynamix they showed??? They’re not loosing market share - they have more options than anyone else! Maybe turn the volume up and watch the video again 😂

It honestly is depressing the fact that Polaris main focus is Flatlanders. Truly don't understand why a Boost or a 9R or a Pro for that matter is needed for riding on a trail? To each his or her own I guess.
Main focus is flat landers? The RMK gets the latest and greatest first every time something’s released…. They’re constantly getting improved. Why can’t someone have an 850 boost or 9R for trails? You do know that trails often result in riders going over lakes, fields and hills in some areas, right? I ride in northern MB and when there’s 4 feet of powder on these lakes a 9R would be sick….
@@pajamatime5750 I never said you can't have a 850 boost or a 9R. All I was saying, where I live, all we hear about is the flatlanders. Truly awful 😒
I’ve thought the 9r should have been in a trail sled from day one. At low elevation it seems like a no brainer.

My dream sled is a 2025 Polaris with a blue wrap. I currently have a 2001 sled 😅

I just bought a vr1 boost know just need some snow, do you all have any up there? I'm in ny state
We got dumped on here in Ontario this past weekend. Hoping you get some snow in NY. Planning a trip there later in the season.
The 9R should be awesome, dynamics also sounds like very good system, really surprised that they didn't hit with a turbo 4 stroke

So Luke, you would get a XCR with Dynamics but a XRS without Smart shock? according to your videos.
