    Those 2.6 tires help a lot with pedal strikes. Main reason I use them on my ripmo. Flip chips are cool! Great bikes are this versatile now

    Stanley gap is no joke! Especially riding back up at the end of a long day if you're parked at the game check. I just got this frame as a replacement for the 2017 PUSH edition that developed a BB issue. Can't wait to build her up and see how it compares. Gonna be a 160 up front and I'm curious to see if it rides well like that, or if I'll be looking to drop it to 150.

    Clint, you are braver than me, riding that sort of chunk in that sort of weather :)

      The 2.6 tires definitely helped

    Ride my S-works epic evo in the high position most of the time. Switch to low if riding in Moab or other similar tech trails.

    Wondering if a ZS 44/56 WolfTooth or Works Components 1-degree angleset and the bike in high BB position would be "the ticket?" Seemed great on YT Izzo, Pivot Switchblade, Giant Trance Advanced Pro, and Giant Trance X Advanced Pro.

    Great video! I have a Gen 6 Fuel, have you tested that model in the high or low position? I do enjoy the high position but don’t want to short change myself regarding the stability.

    I did Ouray→Imogene Pass last month out & back and used high. I wanted to flip the chip at the summit, but I was too shaky and tired and was afraid to loose a part in the dirt. 21% are the steepest grades on that trail and I had to hike-bike these sections. I locked the rear suspension on the first few miles up on graded gravel road. I should say, I have a small 50Nm torque e-motor on that bike, very light and hardly visible😁 No way I could have done this on an analog MTB.

    Clint, what tire psi are you inflating your Schwalbe 2.6 tires to? Did you change anything else after adjusting the Flip Chip in the low setting?

      19 front, 21 back. No changes other than the flip chip

    did you see the GMBN video recently on different crank lengths. Clint, I'll bet you could use 165's maybe even 160's from what got from that vid.

    How are you enjoying the Schwalbe tires on your latest bikes compared to Maxxis?

    • @ClintGibbs
      @ClintGibbs  Год назад +2

      Really liking them so far. Hard to say less riding them back to back but they seem to have slightly less rolling resistance but just as good in the corners

      @@ClintGibbs Nice to hear, it seems schwalbe has focused more on grip and puncture protection with their latest tires at the expensive of some weight 👍

    How does Stanley gap compare to P2

  • @thiosemicarbizidebenzoylal2921

    At the top of its range in specs, THIS IS A 12,000 BUCK BIKE. Thats three 4,000 dollar bikes you have to pass on to get one bike that changes geometry SLIGHTLY. At this stage in the GLOBAL bike industry, this bike could change into ALL bike disciplines and it still wouldn't be a top bike in any one of them with the shear variety of bikes people have to choose from going into 2024.

    My stumpy Evo pedal strikes way too much in high. I can’t imagine the low. 🫣
