• A curfew was imposed in Imphal West and Imphal East in violence-hit Manipur and internet services were suspended in seven districts as fresh protests erupted in the Valley districts against the killing of six people, whose bodies were found in Jiribam after they were kidnapped allegedly by militants
• The security scenario in Manipur has remained fragile for the past few days. Armed miscreants from both communities in conflict have been indulging in violence leading to unfortunate loss of lives and disruption in public order. All the security forces have been directed to take necessary steps to restore order and peace. Strict action would be initiated against anyone trying to indulge in violent and disruptive activities. Important cases have been handed over to NIA for effective investigation.

Delhi's air quality worsened further on Saturday, with many areas in the "severe" category, even as authorities intensified their action by imposing penalties of around Rs 5.85 crore on the first day of anti-pollution measures under the third stage of GRAP (GRAP).
