The 7-year update appeals to me and I was wondering if you'll go in-depth in regards to DeX mode? Especially when it comes to desktop-class/style web browsing in that mode? I'm really considering ditching a laptop for a phone and desktop hybrid solution in the future. Great video by the way!
I just got the green Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra as my first ever Galaxy smartphone device to go with my galaxy watch 4 classic. I'm not interested with the S24 Ultra so if anything I'm going to wait for the S25 Ultra instead.
I feel like my S22U was a big step from my Note20U. The S23U was a slight upgrade from S22U. This S24U has been good to me but photos are VERY unpredictable. I'm hoping the first major update in a few days addresses that. Other than that it's been a beast of a phone and I'm very happy with it. I got the Samsung exclusive green which is just fun. My S23 was their exclusive blue which I liked but it didn't stand out. One thing I will say is this phone is less slippery. My S23 was impossible to place anything on and it, itself, would slide off almost any surface with a slight angle. This S24U just stays and things don't glide off it when I place them on top.
Hi great video I was wondering what you think of the signal of the 24 ultra as some say it lower how do you find yours between the s 23 v the s24 ultra
I'm still using my OnePlus 6T, coming up on 5 years. No, it isn't receiving security updates, but that's on OnePlus. I keep using my devices until it either fails/breaks, or the battery is no longer usable. Why should I reward the manufacturers for NOT supporting their devices, by buying a new one once they stop supporting it? I liked my Galaxy S3, and was considering going back to Samsung for my next device, but the sharp corners are so ugly. Why can't we still have rounded corners? At least they stopped with the curved screen...
I had a oneplus 6 that AT&T stopped supporting. So now have a S21 plus. Really irritated that if I had waited 6 mo for the T version I'd still be using it. Have you replaced your battery yet?
@@grmishady I haven't replaced the battery, but it's definitely degraded. Still quite usable, but not as good battery life as when it was new. I'm annoyed that the back of the phone got cracked somehow, even though it's always in the karbon case... Not sure if I can replace the battery now (I was told it wasn't possible with a cracked back on another device a few years ago)
I have never ever had this problem and I've carried galaxy phones from s20-24 now on planes. But fwiw my friend has a z flip and she's has that issue. Definitely not a problem with each model but something to consider!
Sailor moon ftw! Thanks Shannon. i have the 23 ultra. not impressed with battery life. Can we talk about facial recognition? why is it not == apple's implementation? Samsung is an innovator, but they should stop building refrigerators and stick to phones and tvs.
@3:00 Promises of x years of updates are illusory. Near monopolies can change their Terms of Service anytime with near impunity. The US FTC enforcement is highly dependent on which political party is in charge. Class Action lawsuits take years and users get a $100 coupon for the next phone. They can (and have in the past) claim the hardware is too old to support new software (& blame Google).
7 years support is just Marketing. Sounds good , but will they? I wait for iPhone 16 Pro Max & AI features built within the device. Apple just do it differently for privacy & security.
I'm still pretty happy with my S23 Ultra after a year. I'll keep it as long as the battery keeps me in the game.

I agree! DeX mode is really nice and I feel like no one is talking about it.

Nice comparison Shannon. I’m holding on to my S22 Ultra as long as I can.
S22ultra is a good phone, I still have
I personally like her I will definitely be following her thank you cutie!!!
Just the video I been waiting for...thank you Shann❤
You are so welcome!
@@ShannonMorse love your hair colour 😍 💕
They're updating So that the colors are now gonna be more vivid, even more than the S23u, if you want it.
Can't wait to hear your security tips and tricks
S24 ultra 5x camera at 100x. VS S23 ultra 10x at 100x zoom -- which one is better?
Thank you for this review. It answered my questions. ☺️
I'm so glad!
Got my S24 a week ago and it already had 2 large scratches. And I'm always careful with my phones.
Hi Shannon. Did you get your studio all finished in your basement. Love your reviews.. And miss the old Waynesville Halloween house.
I did! I'm doing a bit of reorganizing this year but the main part is completely done!
The violet color of S24 Ultra and your violet hair looks so good 😊
Thank you!

I'm thinking getting the s23 ultra. Due the price drop atm. I was justing wondering will the s23 ultra get the AI features down the line.??

You MUST always carry the SIM card ejector as Samsung made these so airtight that going at altitude (E.g flying) WILL pop the speakers inside.

Thanks for the zoom shots, very helpful. Nice hair too.
Thanks for watching!
0:12 Exactly what happened to me!

Smartphones have become a joke everyyear a "new " version comes with not much improvement.

Well if the hardware is to old to support that's on qualcomm or samsung(exynos)
I got the violet color also..
What do you think? For me it's giving more gray than violet
Super Sailor Moon >> Eternal Sailor Moon
Firefly! 😁

Such a joke that people think they are getting a upgrade.
