I hope you enjoyed. I run CoS every year for my players, and it's always the most fun we have. Curse of Strahd is an incredible adventure, and Strahd is a truly terrifying character if played well.
I'm reading my first book of Vampire the Masquerade, this seems quite an adequate atmosphere ^^ Thank you very much for your work, it is awesome ! I like a lot the "realness" of it, the sounds are well calibrated, not too much or too little, it feels very natural, as if we were there, or just opened the windows on the presented scenery.
dude, I love the Sounds you put out. I am running a one-shot inspired by the Curse of Strahd in a spooky mansion. This and your death house videos are perfect!!!!!!! YOU ROCK!
there’s a cover on the internet of castlevania’s “bloody tears” on a church organ (specifically meant to be on strahd’s organ) mix that and this ambience and you’ve got magic baby
My half elf companion's lantern of punched tin and horn panes burns a thick tallow candle that is infused with spirit and vampire oils, which makes me a little nauseous. As the outcast dhampir son of a vampire noble, I understand vampiric customs and language, but may be unwelcomed by male vampires as their female counterparts usually try to seduce me. Our silver weapons are coated with spirit and vampire oils while our other weapons are coated with hemorrhaging oil. My companion has imbibed a potion that grants night vision, which is natural for me. The warm, yellow orange light is very calming amid the freezing rain.
Haha it was a bit of both. Your request got me to looking into it, then i bought the book, and now i'm prepping to run it as a DM. Definitely more CoS coming soon, and also, i'm a he :)
I really like what you've been doing with these. I was hoping someone would come up with sound backgrounds other than the usual "Zen inner peace forest tranquility" stuff. Too bad these weren't around decades ago when I ran long term Champions campaigns; they'd have been perfect. Grimsley, by the way, was a vampire mortician horror show host from the late 70s I used to watch on KHJ TV from Los Angeles. He's still around and on Facebook. Between commercials he would do routines making fun of the movies he was showing. Themes included "funerals for your unloved ones" and "how to tell if they're really dead or just faking."
Yes. As a matter of fact, Elvira replaced Grimsley (Robert Foster) on the original Fright Night show in 1981. Grimsley had some of his old stuff posted here on RUclips for a while, but unfortunately he seems to have taken it back off. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fright_Night_(TV_series)
There is a cascade of louder thunder in the distance which blasts an echo all about you. Almost immediately you're almost blinded by the lightning above and the rain is now starting to come down in stair rods, pounding your heads and shoulders but at least at this point you seem to have passed out of the thick oppressive fog...
@@menslady125eif2590 okay, we need to pause the game first because I need to ask you vital details about your character. What is your characters full name, gender, age, height and weight?
@@menslady125eif2590 remember that creating your character is a wonderful, creative thing so take your time if need be! And liking your approach already!
I beg to difer in this one. Don't think a stormy night would do the trick. Too much water. A windy and full of howling of wolves night, and thundering from afar would be mire like it, don't you think?
Perhaps, although I'm basing these off the descriptions in the books, so its kinda staying true to that. I'd probably have written it as windier with more distant thunder tho, you're right.
Rain does not hurt Strahd as it does not define as moving water. Strahd can shower. Throwing him in a river would be different. Also rain clouds are good to blotting out the sun.
"Never go creeping around old castles at night. You may find what you're looking for."
From "Grimsley's Fright Night"
Just saying this is the perfect accompaniment to the well placed addition of toccata and fugue in D minor when setting the scene for Strahd.
Just tried playing this with toccata and fugue in D minor, omg it's perfect! Will have to use this when my party approaches Castle Ravenloft.
You made so many people's day/sessions
I just bought the curse of strahd book yesterday and then you post this dude you're amazing
Buckpwns you’re going to love the next couple of videos 😉

This is so good. We have this playlist on repeat when we prepare for our Curse of Strahd campaign.
this is actually pretty relaxing, I'm using it as background doing my japanese homework
tis not safe to wander around the castle during a storm. you could ask Melvin about it when he comes back... although he has been gone for a week.
Listening to this while I adjust Strahd's statblock for a homebrew campaign. This is perfect, really gets you in the mood to terrify your players >:)
I am SCREAMING this is perfect for my Ravenloft campaign. I could kiss you.
Ravenloft campaign? Excellent! Would you like to be a player?

Yeah... I think we should go in. What could happen?
Not sure if you uploaded this simply because of my request but regardless its really apreciated. Awesome channel! Much love.
Mister Torgue Flexington He/she does requests, so there may be a chance they did it because you asked!
Yeah i know they replied to my request for this a few vids ago ^^ super cool that they took it on board, hopefully more Curse of Strahd coming soon.

Like a Vampire Elvira? We never had anything like that in the UK. The closest we've had is Tales From The Crypt.

Very well. Someone has to make sure you don’t get yourself killed.
