Aah the video is here, amazing! Yes it is so handy to see all the values and stats and of course your summary of the unit. This is probably the only source that shows the little "helmet value". Also this video is much better than your previous German unit review. (Much better audio too)
The Pz.Kpfw D & A both "suffered" from a 'slight' design flaw with their frontal rounded turret mantlet armor.. Which the downward angle of the turret front mantlet ended up creating a "shot trap" that sometimes would cause a AP round to ricochet down into the hull killing the Driver and/or Hull MG/Radio man if facing forward.. Or into the engine if the turret was facing to the rear (Russian tank gunners learned to always aim for the turret front mantlet over the hull front glacis)... This was later addressed in the G variant with an addition of a flattened, “chin” on the lower front plate.. Also the first batch of 50 "Krupp-Turm" turrets used on the "bigger nastier brother" of the Panther tank, the Sd.Kfz.182 (aka Königstiger), also "Suffered" from the same frontal mantlet shot trap design "flaw" that the Panther D & A suffered from.. As well as having cracks that formed during the shaping process to round the front turret matlet armor.. Those cracks were "fixed" by filling the cracks with weld.. All further produced King Tiger tanks would use the redesigned Serien-Turm turret (both were made by Krupp) which had a flat-fronted turret with the face-plate angled back at 10 degrees..
gotta be honest I love the 5 cm flak gun in the early game for defence great against infatery light to medium tanks or armored cars and also provides sufficient air cover if you have two of them relatively close
Only thing I disagree with on this is the usefulness of the motorcycle. Personally, I love to keep a motorcycle in reserve with a medic on the back (it has an option for a passenger behind the driver), to zip around to different areas of the battlefield after engagements to help downed soldiers. Sometimes I will go with the passenger kubelwagen and have two medic squads in it for mass casualty events. This keeps the medics safe until they are needed, and allows them to get to the fight quicker than just running up there. Maybe one day we will see dedicated ambulance trucks come into conquest.
@@SirJellyBean Always a good habit to have at least one close for immediate support, but I've found my problem with that is I tend to try and use my close medics while there is still an active engagement happening and thus the medic soon becomes one of the extra casualties. Keeping them back forces me to focus on winning the fight that caused the casualties first, then dealing with the aftermath and trying to save whoever I can.
Great video. It should be noted however that the basic FLAK 2cm and the shielded FLAK 2cm is not the same thing. If you put both of them side by side, you'll notice that the shielded version has WAY better fire rate.
I really like the kfz 15 especially im the first battles, infantry doesnt have a mg often and its mountet a bit higher and can shred the russian infantry waves, plus it can tow the 7.5cm and 2.8 cm guns
46:35 20mm is the demarcation line to cannon, so that's the 20mm KWK autocannon, a very common gun. 46:54, yeah, that's the Panhard, don't say the H, because it's a French name, another very famous interwar armoured car. Well, say the H, it always cracks me up when people go "Pan-Hard". Maybe I should do this vid, lol. 51:40 Skoda tanks, obviously. 53:03 *Souma tank. Suomi is what the Finnish troops speak. Actually the conclusion with Soumas is decent protection, but under-gunned relative to that. 57:15 From the F2 onwards, which caused us a nasty surprise in the desert, the front leaf-springs on the MkIVs were permanently bowed from the extra weight and in real life made them less maneuverable. They used to yaw slightly if coming to a sudden stop, it's nice when they recreate that in games. Shurtzen were an early form of spaced armour to deal with RPGs, much like the slatted armour you see today (or the boxes on ex Soviet tanks), at least with the slats, you can see through them, but that German Schurtzen system, as you can see, especially when you model them out, the side skirts were hanged on a rail, so they could be replaced if taken out by RPGs. 59:37 the Ausf A was hated in real life, mostly because they broke down often. The problem that one has in game is that the glacis shape makes a shot trap between the bottom that and the collar of the turret, this gets eliminated in later models with a "chin" on the glacis. 59:59 *Zimmerit concrete paste, raked to give it a pattern, anti magnetic mines protection, again from tank stalkers, not really an issue in this game like in real life, a lot of tank-stalking going on now in Gaza and it's what happens if you don't mix infantry with tanks, they all have about a 10m blind spot around them when buttoned up. 01:00:20 I beg to differ, if you wargame France 1940, the Char B and the Soumas are pretty terrifying, because all your tanks have less armour and none of them have the longer barrelled 75 the Char B does, the one on the MkIV of the time was only good against soft targets. Pretty crap on the Eastern front, but so was the Churchill. 01:11:40 Sturm morsers are fun from Sudden Strike I onwards in these games. In RL they were hard to use because of the massive flash from the holes around the barrel when firing, the noise, the high profile, they were absolute fire magnets. You ideally used them from inside buildings with a clear wall to hide as much of that as possible, fire and move constantly. Because that was hard to do, very often taken out, but also because everyone s*at a brick whenever they saw one and called in air and arty support immediately.
Awesome guide only thing I feel like mentioning is that the Panther Ausf. A has a much faster turret traverse speed. Also the Sturmpanzer IV is the Brummbär not the StuIG 33.

1:14 Standalone Command Squad should've been 4 or 6 pop cap with one guy swapped out for a medic. That would actually make it worth buying and using. 5:55 I usually just beeline to the Rifle Squads and ignore the convict, Luftwaffe rifle, and the recon squads. I might give the infantry on the top branch a go though, especially the Großdeutschland since I just found out they're Panzergrenadiers, which is what I've been looking for. 49:17 So more supply and can tow heavier stuff while keeping the same pop cap? Damn, alright I'll get it next time I play conquest. 49:35 The only thing I don't like about this truck is that it's 8 pop cap. Makes it pretty difficult for me to cram them in because I end up stuffing things like SPGs and Pz. IVs in the same call-in stage. Would prefer it if the truck costs 6 pop and the bike costs 4. 49:48 I actually prefer this thing over the Wurfrahmen 40 since rocket launcher is on a spinning mount whereas the tracked stuka has to reposition completely. Also, the Panzerwerfer has more tubes, more range, and more reloads. 1:03:06 For sure. The Soviets are gradually bringing in IS-2s in my Eastern Front conquest as the Germans. the Nashorn is able to handle them since it uses the same 88 the KT uses but sooner or later, I know I'll need to engage them directly so, will definitely research the KT. 1:08:01 Getting this is a no-brainer because it carries 32 rounds total, 21 of them HE, 5 HEAT, and 6 APHE. This thing is able to switch between artillery and anti-tank role, has really good HE range at 345 m, plus its dirt cheap to get; this is 100% a buy. I actually prefer this over the Grille 15cm and Hummel because the former carries less ammo at 15 rounds (all of them HE), takes longer to reload and has only 280 m range. Hummel has more range (380 m) but carries only 17 rounds all HE. 1:09:11 I usually just rush to this TD as the Germans. It's fun blowing up Shermans and T-34s with that 88.
You failed to mention that the Brandenburgers are recon troops, have 1.2 speed and extra sight range. In addition, they have the stealth perk similar to snipers. You can tell by the blue icon over their heads when in-game which indicates they are stealth troops. I also think you're sleeping on health regen; a squad of troops with high health regen but slow movement speed, like Pioneers or Assault Engineers, will receive ridiculously powerful stat boosts to HP regen upon achieving veterancy, sometimes going up to +10 or more health regen per second, effectively making a troop invincible at long range to standard rifles.
Maybe everyone misses it...but why does NO ONE talk about the blue division having 15x the health regen of almost every other unit in the game (only elite unit that I know of)? The base HP regen of most units is 0.1 (6HP per minute) and for the blue division its a whopping 1.5 (90 HP per minute). thats HUGE and means even if you cant babysit them to keep their health topped up they regen health scary fast. This is by far their most stand out stat. Otherwise they have garbage weapons (which can be fixed) and are a little slower than most units.
Over 1,000 hours into the game since launch day and still I always manage to learn new things from your videos. Keep up the great work, SJB!
