My 10yr old son suffers from depression and has tried to hang himself 5 times already each time a teacher or stranger has found him in time but he isn't old enough to be seen by the children's cam group of phycologists yet until he's 18 ! In Edinburgh Scotland uk He is being bullied badly at local school I think due to being high functioning autistic he's intelligent with a photographic memory but finds it hard to pick up on social cues etc he has 2 good friends at the moment but the beatings and bullying is taking its tall on him each day. He self harms through cutting himself repeatedly but the doctors at hospital can only treat the symptoms not the deep wounds. I have already lost a daughter to depression she hung herself when she was 17yrs old I don't want to loose a son as well but the specialists in Edinburgh say he's not old enough to be treated yet ? Any advice on what I can do to help him would be welcomed.
