Great concert to be your first! I'm almost to my 20th SP show and this tour has been my all-time favorite. Incredible energy! The show I saw in Hollywood, FL was borderline flawless from start to finish. 🤘

Not 4 or 5 singles per album trying to keep up momentum and sales. Every album is a departure from the previous one, making the music THEY want, not the music the label wants, and certainly not what is the flavour of the year. They have their integrity after 32 years, and that means everything. What buzz is SP getting? They have literally sucked balls since mellon, and nobody cares about them anymore. They played to half full or less venues on this last tour, much like the last 20 years. And, only in the States. South America doesn’t care, Europe doesn’t care, Australia doesn’t care. So please, do NOT tell me why SP works, cause they clearly don’t. PJ is on another level, sorry…….
Solo is very close to the studio version, which has always been a rarity for Billy, and the energy of the performance really opens up for the "tell me all of your secrets" part and onwards, which is the climax of the song anyway, so they kind of pulled it off on account of the studio solo, heh.

I would have been cool with Jeff being a 5th wheel, since all of the original pumpkins would have been together. So close, but so far. Billy, make that phone call, bruh! Get that woman back in your band.
They only have two guitars and they both play lead and rhythm but in different keys. they play off with each other to develop a lot of gain and the third is just bass and drums.
the use 3 guitar plays for a lot of songs like tonite tonite and stuff. you dont tell him to go sit down for other songs. and it helps to fill the sound

I see complaints all the time about Darcy not being in the band anymore. People need to move on……the last time she played with them was over 20 years ago. She was great for her era- but she contributed very little in the creative process- besides harmonizing backing vocals with Billy. They’ve already tried to reunite with her, and it didn’t work. The Smashing Pumpkins sound primarily comes from Billy and Jimmy. Darcy was good, but not irreplaceable.
They break groove together because they don't like each other Steven Perkins always plays with others full of joy Jimmy does with kids wonderful but it feels like intelectual property in turning on or off the cycles of groove . They fight insulting each other. what can unify their cause of art. Money not party. The wrestler girl dancing's gonna make me splooge in my pants. Hypno. Hips.
