    Loved this guys. What a place. We loved your bus journey there with your bob a job driver!! We’ve watched a few videos of this site and really want to visit. The views were stunning but bad times about the sunset scam!!! Your accommodation looked stunning. Wills is sitting here grinning like a Cheshire Cat, A because you saw a Santa and B, he got name checked!!! Thanks for that. The wildlife there is amazing. Such a cool Vlog, loved it 🍻

      Bus journeys are really something in Guate. Tikal is amazing. So much to see and such a huge site. Yea, we wanted to stay for sunset but at least they didn't charge us for the guide and we got to stay later than we should have. The hotels in Guate are LEGIT! CHRISTMAS IS STARTING NOW! 🍻

    Boy those steps were steep, I can see why they don't want you climbing them. Even if they allowed it I'm not sure I'd want to! 😬. Haha he went to a grocery store and picked up two dozen eggs! Not your average bus ride!! I'm not into Star Wars (sorry) but cool to see a filming location, I can remember seeing loads of Star War spaceships and rides at Disney World in Florida - am I on the right track? Looks like cool stuff. Great that you found that view where could see all the temples sticking up above the treeline - I liked that a lot. C'mon Will, I was expecting a double somersault in the dive 😄. Glad you got your patch, I prefer the one you chose as well - different is good!

    • @WITYTRAVELS
      @WITYTRAVELS 2 года назад +1

      Yea, we aren't professional step climbers like you! Definitely not your average bus ride. You are on the right track; they have a whole Star Wars section at Disney. Yea, that view from Temple IV is amazing. Was too tired for any fancy dives. Just fell in. We are happy with finding such a unique patch.

    Talk about a climb that was incredible from the top of the monument you can see for miles the green forest affect all the trees in the forest looks amazing what a view from almost the top of the world, I understand now why this was one of the star wars filming locations the view is breathtaking, so I agree with you the climb no joke definitely serious business congrat's on making it that had to be a tuff one but thank god you had the perfect weather to do it that day , seems like your bus driver was doing a little overtime getting all his goodies and chores done on his list I see how that could be funny to watch because everyone knows that all the extra stops were not part of the itinerary unbelievable but like you say what can you do right but laugh it off but eventually you got to your destination so its all good and the turkey in the tree had to be a first for me I never heard of that before so all the animals looked so exotic looking to me they were just running around having fun doing their thing very nice to see and I see some of the attractions steps had handrails which had to be good for support from all the walking and climbing you have done and yes I agree the rain forest that day was looking good from all the wonderful views you had and at least at the hotel you had a nice pool to cool you off in after a very long day perfect so witytravels we appreciate your perseverance an what an adventure from the breathtaking tops of the temples to the beautiful tropical rainforest to the star wars filming locations this has been an absolutely incredible experience from this amazing place called tikal guatemala !!!

    • @WITYTRAVELS
      @WITYTRAVELS 2 года назад

      Thank you! Yes, the climb was intense but probably safer than climbing up the actual temple. Guatemala is the most green country we have visited. Yea, you knew about Tikal being in Star Wars as soon as we arrived. You are ahead of the curve! It only took an hour and a half to get back. Amazing how much shorter the drive is without all the stops. But we got a free tour around the area! lol.

      Tikal is a must visit when in Guate. So cool that you have heard of it. The trek to the top is not easy, but it's worth it. It's almost a nature sanctuary since the animals are roaming free in their natural environment. Thanks Adi!

    I think having a guide after sunset is a good idea. It's very easy to get lost at night, plus some nocturnal animals might be wondering around on the trails (like the fer-de-lance viper)

    Awesome video, I think Tikal, was a progressist city, but also were in constant wars against other cities, on the side of the mayas, on the other hand was Antigua, the spanish city of the conquistadores, who were also at war, with the rebel cakchickeles and also with nature, then the civil war came, 36 years of civil war, the longest in the continent, peace treaty signed in the 90s, then the war agains the maras began, war that shape up the guatemalans kind of living, being Guatemala in the first century one of the most violent cities in the world. But now, after president Jimmy Morales, Guate has experience a big decline on delincuency and violence. I see people working hard and striving to be better, getting jobs and providing jobs for everyone, I see like a competence to live and have better things, I like this Guate of the last seven years. What can yall tell us about that. What have yall notice. We are not even in the five more violents countries anymore.
