Not really. I have the N20 Ultra and looking at the specs of this new phone, it's way better. Also, Samsung has a trade-in promo right now. Trade in your N20 Ultra and get $800. I say that's worth it considering you can't even sell it for $750 used when it's selling for nearly that price new (around me). S23 Ultra has: - Higher nits for brightness (N20U brightness isn't that great when it's bright out or when driving in the sun) - Higher PPI for sharper display - Better cameras overall. The 10MP camera on the S23 has a better aperture at f/4.9 meaning your shots will be sharper and everything will be more in focus (N20 camera is shit for focusing, I always have issues) - 45w charging is insane (you will get from 0% to 65% in 30min). However, you'll need to get the adapter and cable that support the speed - WiFi 6E which will be more reliable, faster, and use more WiFi channels (realistically only good if you have a WiFi 6E router or gigabit speeds) - Bluetooth 5.3 (Improved energy efficiency, less interference, less connectivity issues, quicker streaming speeds/less delays, higher security, and more) - Bigger battery at 5k mAh There are much more improvements overall, such as phone speed, etc. It's an overall better phone, you can compare the specs online and see for yourself. I'd say use the trade-in promo before your phone depreciates more in value.
@@eazy6037 I see every point your making here, I'm saying the Note 20 holds up. But, I'm definitely also feeling the pain of the Note 20 camera. I take a lot of close up shots and my Note 9 was phenomenal. Second I opened the 20 and tested the camera though I've hated it. So absolutely considering trading in my 20 Ultra. The $800 credit is insane
Love my Note 20 Ultra, but other than expandable memory, which I don't use anywhere close to 1TB of storage, a 1TB S23 Ultra should suffice. It's time to move on as I'm starting to see my Note 20 Ultra lag in some aspects, so I preordered the Sky Blue 1TB S23 Ultra. Thanks for helping me make the decision 🙏🏾
This is the last year to swap n20u to s23u if you care about depreciation of your phone. In Canada, Samsung is offering $800 for any n20u (including broken screen), and preorder promo + work promo + $100 voucher online + finance discount = $600. The battery life increase alone is worth it, now if you factor in speed and camera, it's a no brainer. $800 for a n20u is more than you can sell it for privately.
I did this! I'm trading my N20 Ultra. You would be stupid otherwise. S23 Ultra has great features, 45W charging (which is crazy), the cameras are better (despite the pixel being lower, the aperture is higher which will result in higher quality photos), better battery life, WiFi 6E, and more. As you said, the depreciation of the N20 Ultra is gonna drop significantly after this release. People selling it around me for $750 privately, good luck. I rather get the $800!
Just pre-ordered the 23 ultra. Future updates alone are worth it to me but I'll take the upgrade. $800 trade in + some other offer and my 23 ultra will cost like $5 a month. Plus got $150 cash back ordering thru Rakuten, couldn't beat that. 😁
I have the regular note 20 5g, not the ultra. Been thinking of getting the S23. Will the note 20s get the android 14 update tho? Cause i thought the phones only support 3 updates from the one the launched with. So android 13 would be the last big update for them. But i might be wrong
Reasons to keep my note 20 ultra, thanks.
🙏🙏🙏🙏
same here. maybe next year we'll have a design change
Bro fuck, the Note 20 Ultra still stacks up this new gen.
He's still on top

Not a significant improvement. Keeping my Note 20 Ultra.
The Note 20 ultra is still in the race
Still ROCKING MY Note twenty ultra five G N 2023
I think you got 2 things wrong. The note 20 doesn't do 8k and the 23u 10w wireless I think

Yes unfortunately it will stay at Android 13
This makes no sense. Why are you checking both when there are differences, but only checking one for some of the comparisons

Note 20 Ultra: YES
S23 Ultra: NO
Winner: Note 20 Ultra

Using 54% of my 128gb storage. I must not be use my phone right to not be needing a micro sd. 😂 My 23 ultra will be 512gb so I'm good.
