Saw you in Berlin this year, was the best concert of my life , I met there some drummers there and we realized we were all there especially for you , the concert was so great and you were so utterly amazing , never felt such raw excitement/love for drums this strong in my life ... Thank you ! After the concert we all bought tickets for purpendicular tour in Berlin and can't wait to see you again ... Thanks for your music, you awesome awesome dude ... Sometimes life is hard but there is always a Ian Paice to listen to ... Big love from a 22 yo drummer girl ❤️
A wonderful insight, and lesson how to record remotely. Totally agree with your comments about click tracks Ian. Fabulous playing in part 2. As a surprise 70th birthday gift I saw DP in Manchester a few weeks ago. Absolutely fantastic evening, blown away. I started playing drum set at 18 after hearing you then; I’m still playing with my daughter in her band now, I have your signature snare and use your sticks. Drums has been a huge part of my life because of you. You are a wonderful inspiration to so many. Thank you so much. Wishing you and your family have a lovely Christmas. 🎄 🥁🙏🥁🎄
I went to a Deep Purple concert in the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen in the summer of 2022. Nice concert with a suitable sound level. I went to a concert with the orchestra for the first time in 1972 - Mrk II - those were wild times. In 1977 I was at a concert with the Buddy Rich big band - which paved the way for all the great jazz drummers, a tradition that Ian Paice continues in many ways. Thank you Ian for opening my ears to high quality drumming and musicality :D
Click tracks can be frustrating to work with, but they also make so many things possible, especially when it comes to musicians working remotely. It's still mice to be able to turn it off though, and just go with the feel of the moment.
What a guy he is . I love his Drumtribe channel. My fave band and my fave drummer ! keep it going Ian, we all love you !
I still remember when Ian handed me his drum sticks Two weeks after my drummer brother’s passing in Laughlin Nevada.
