Guys let me clarify a few things! I'm only talking about "templated SDE" not the whole SDE, I apologize if I wasn't able to specify it especially towards the end of the video where I'm discouraging clients to get SDE, it was supposed to be templated SDEs. Also, this is me talking not just as a videographer but also a guest in weddings so my opinion is coming from the outside of the industry parang opinion din to ng future customers niyo. A template is just a guide that is correct, pero may mga ibang wedding teams na talagang copy paste ang template walang creativity walang storytelling and whatsoever and yun ang pangit at nakakasama sa industry, yes some couple might still be happy about it because maybe hindi nila alam or they're fine with it and I believe hindi un okay for long term parang borderline exploitation na siya for me. If you're exerting effort in giving fresh ideas for your SDEs or leveling up your storytelling then that is good ok na ok un let me be clear on that, hindi ka dapat tatamaan sa video na to. I wasn't able to research or watch more recent SDEs so gusto ko rin magsorry about duon. Nagkataon lang na ngayon nalang uli ako nakapag attend ng wedding and the SDE was super templated so I thought walang nagbago sa SDE pero meron naman pala. Other than my problem with templated SDE siguro I think it's time to for someone to do something unique or new again in the industry, suggest ko lang na hopefully may mga ibang wedding teams dyan na willing to take a risk and make a new kind of video or category to offer for couples na pwedeng ipakita sa reception hindi lang SDE because ang nakikita ko for past idk 5-10 years or maybe more pa, isang klaseng video lang ang option nila para sa reception. My intention in this video is good maybe bad at executing lang 😅
You're still a joke, one you lack experience and creativity (kaya pala 1st and last mo yung sa wedding), you lack the passion/drive, and yet you're still going on and on about "templated" SDE, you also lack the understanding/essence behind an SDE because every single SDE from a low budget to top tier IS NOT THE SAME, every single one is different, the fact that you say it's templated simply means, YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT AN SDE IS ALL ABOUT. Might I just suggest, you stop JUSTIFYING something that's part off a wedding and part of a couple's memory and experience that YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE/EXPERTISE whatsoever. You call yourself a VIDEOGRAPHER/CREATIVE but the fact that you say and justify this BS just proves the fact that you DON'T BELONG IN THE INDUSTRY. Experts and Industry professionals are already calling you out and you're still pushing and justifying your point?! Myghod you have a huge EGO problem as well. Instead of being humble and just owning your mistakes from making this statement. I suggest you just stop and STFU.
@@fidelbretana I totally agree sir. In fact di ko ma gets ung source of motivation niya to talk about the "template" for me ai don't really consider it template eh I consider it guide to make the work easier but not limited to applying your creativity and skills. One word; Ignorance.
@@fidelbretana so you're saying ung mga reputable people in the industry who privately messaged me saying they agree to my points also lack understanding or essence behind SDE kahit kilala at matagal na sila sa industry or ikaw talaga ung ignorant to see the problem? 😪
So diba lahat un affected.
Gfx, music and other technical aspects? Pre, I got your point. Gusto mo ng pagbabago, which is nice. Pero for me, may pagkakaiba naman lahat sila. Yes “paulit ulit”, KUNG HINDI MO INIINTINDI YUNG STORYA. Pag nagawa mo yun, I’m sure you’ll see the “difference.” Anyway, for me, this will never be a healthy discussion kung ganyan mo sinimulan.
Hello! Sorry but I don't think videographers will listen to you because as you said, YOU don't have the experience. We would have listened if Jason Magbanua, Bob Nicolas, Cinemaworks, Ghe, Mayad, Treehouse etc. would tell us this. But coming from a person who ONLY DID 1 WEDDING? Come on now! I don't wanna offend you by saying that you are not qualified to say all these things but you have offended a lot of my brothers in the industry. A little warning, we tend to move as one when it comes to these things. Lastly, carpenters should not tell doctors how to do medical procedures man! I'm sorry about the harshness, I had to let it all out. :)

TIA.
Imagine telling everyone not to get an SDE, it’s as if you are taking away someone’s job. How credible are you? how talented are you? how knowledgeable are you? You know so little. You give advise to couples but you’ve only edited or shoot one wedding in your entire life. SDEs are keepsakes for the couples. So they can relieve each moment over and over. In this vlog you only want to satisfy yourself, this vlog is not helpful as well at this time of pandemic. Be more sensitive. This vlog is a total non-sense.
Tumutugtog ako sa weddings since 2007 so I've seen hundreds of SDEs. Habang buhay nila mapapanood yun. Lalo pag nakikita ko pa kung gaano kasaya ang couple habang pinapanood ang video, for me that's priceless. Templated? Yes. Unique and special. Tanggalin ang SDE? Nah.
I'd still want to have SDE on my wedding,.. siguro kahit templated tapos fave song namin ng husband ko..ay grabe, maiiyak pa din ako..kasi kami yung nasa film..i'd want to cherish that moment watching for the frst time... the best day of my life. ❤
First and hopefully only time ko lang naman na magka-SDE so syempre that is something meaningful for me. Na-capture yung moment ko dun eh, and in the end that's what we purchased for naman. What's wrong with the templates ba? All I'm saying is, you can't advise people to stop opting for an SDE because kahit may template pa yan, yung candid moments na na-capture mo sa araw ng kasal mo is priceless.
Parang familiar din 'yung vlog mo. Computer set-up sa likod, malaking source of light sa harap tapos magsasalita ka lang ng kung anu-ano (dapat you look smart). At dapat may ma-trigger ka for views. TEMPLATE hahahahaha
teka .. makagawa nga ng "reaction vlog" na templated din on why some INEXPERIENCED one time self-proclaimed videographer slash photographer get's bored easily on templated SDE's ... with his pic as my video thumbnail .. LOL
A wedding is a template, so it directly affects the output of a wedding video. In the case of SDEs, there has been so much innovation done by different studio talents in the industry. You must understand that templates are there for efficiency reasons and are brought about by continuous innovations in storytelling, editing, and post. Movies have templates or follow the same narrative arcs, but why do people still watch movies? And considering that they have more time to spend on their project makes it more flexible vs. a wedding SDE. Your description of a wedding day shoot is similar to other industries, and yet no one is batting an eye about it. SDEs are not cash cows. It is a service that you render because of the demand. You're paying the editor to edit on the same day, you're paying the shooters to quickly get the shot and pass the cards to the editor. So the cost is correlated to the service.
If walang 'wow factor,' then people wouldn't be paying to have them be part of their wedding package. Optional naman yan eh, for the couples, not for you, as a guest. Kung ayaw mo ng SDE mo for your wedding, okay, but don't say it's "bad for the industry." Yes, templated madalas, because it makes people more efficient when doing their jobs, but it doesn't necessarily mean they lack creativity. Each couple has a unique story, and all videographers have their own ways of telling that story. It doesn't sit well with me na binabalewala mo ang passion at pangkabuhayan ng maraming tao sa industriya with your comment, simply because you are not impressed by their work. Even more so, because of the timing of your video. Dahil alam naman ng lahat na directly impacted ang wedding industry because of the pandemic. Yes, I understand this is your opinion, pero napaka-thoughtless lang. Maybe, stick with crypto content.
1. The same can be said sa napakaraming industry: templated, pare-parehas na lang, wala nang bago. And yet maraming industries ang nagpapatuloy. Bakit? 2. The industry of wedding suppliers generate jobs. To say to couples na wag na lang silang magpa-SDE is like saying wag na nating suportahan ang mga kababayan natin sa wedding industry. And to make things more hurtful, pandemic na nga e. Isa na nga sila sa pinakanatamaan. Ie-encourage pa ang couples not to support their product? 3. They made creative and awe-inspiring wedding videos. Yung iba nagviral. If ever ayawa ng couple talaga ng SDE for whatever reason, they can opt not to do any of that. Ewan. Basta, saludo sa mga wedding video teams. Pagkatapos ng pandemic, I pray you get back stronger and more creative. Di man kayo ang cherry on top ng wedding, pero surely, pinatamis niyo ang mga kasal. Lods!
As someone who's been to 10+ weddings in the past years, from a guest perspective I wholeheartedly agree. Pero at the same time, as someone who's shot, and edited videos, I can't really fault anything about a templated SDE. SDE's need to be extremely flexible talaga to multiple types of weddings and reception and yun nga since same day, creativity needs to be sacrificed for efficiency. Despite most of the SDE's looking like they came from the same creative mind, and despite me being able to guess what will come next while watching them at my friend's wedding, I still look forward to it since it's the special day of someone special to me too. I don't give much care though kung di ko close yung kinasal lol. Also to those attacking you, I see their point, but ang hirap pumanig sa kanila kasi 80% ng nabasa ko ad hominem and if I were a potential client and I see this behavior, I'd tend to actually believe in you rather than them.
Alam mo anong problem mo? Hindi yung inovation or cash cow na sinasabi mo... WALA KANG PASSION SA GINAGAWA MO. Every couple have a different story to tell on the SDE. Thats's All 😉✌️ BTW incoming 500,000+ people from PV industry will try to take down your puchu puchu YT channel for making this content. 🥰
Hey man, I think it's good that you have an opinion about creativity, wedding, and that kind of stuff (and I respect that), but please don't generalize everyone. Nothing good comes out of generalizing people, especially their livelihoods. Instead of having a thesis statement, "this is bad for the industry," you could have just asked, "do templated wedding sequences ruin creativity?" things like that. Make sure you consider each angle of your topic since your video is on a public platform. Topics like these tend to step on other people- and that's the last thing you would want as a fellow creative.
You also proposed a new workflow. It would be cool to follow up this video and test out your proposal on a client so that you could validate your claim "magiging creative kami for short" with the new workflow
I disagree on not getting an SDE. Almost all couples would want an SDE for their wedding even though they know it's just a template. That's just how the industry works. I'm no videographer or editor and I'm still in awe in some SDEs.
"That's just how the industry works." this is what I think is the problem, it needs to change or atleast introduce something new again because in my opinion SDE ( specifically "the template") is no longer healthy in wedding industry. Tayo (or kami) mga videographers ang nagdisrupt ng wedding industry so why not do it again? :)
Ngayon may drone effects pa.
@@kevinsanity31 I clarified na about this one! the whole video I was talking about templated SDE, but nasabi ko discouraging SDE, so nagkaruon ng misunderstanding and I apologize for that one. and the reason why I chose clients to talk to instead of mga shooters or editors is kailangan ireduce ung demand for templated SDE so that shooters who always use templated SDEs will be forced to improve their work.
Hindi ako videographer, editor, whatever. Kinasal ako at isa ang SDE sa pinaka hinangad namin mag-asawa. Bakit?
Kung habang pinapanood mo lang yung SDE naappreciate yung kasal mo then you’re not really paying attention to your wedding, diba? Then you’re just adding another side effect sa SDE - that guests and the persons alike are not paying attention to the wedding anymore, that they’d rather cherish the SDE than the moment itself as it unfolds.
@@Lala-ep4xe it's not that I am not paying attention on my wedding. HAHAHA
Upon watching the video, here are my thoughts: 1. Who are we trying to impress with our SDE output? A. Co-creative and industry professionals. B. Your client - the couple and/or their guests. If A, point taken that you want to push creatives to be creative (the irony) and breakout from the status quo set by the industry. These people has been exposed enough that they know what to expect from a SDE, ergo it no longer create an impact to them. If B, mostly our clients and their guests don't attend much events/weddings as much as someone who is in the industry, seeing SDE would still create an impression and "wow factor" to a certain extent. Seeing a story unfold in a form of a SDE video that they're a part of would still thrill them. 2. With your plea that clients should NOT avail SDE because of predictability because it somewhat uses a template - this I totally disagree on. • Mostly our clients doesn't dwell too much on technicalities (color grading, story board, etc), they are paying us to deliver highlights of a once in a lifetime event served to cap the magical day that they had. Point taken that you want creatives to be innovative and creative, but at the end of the day, it is our clients that we need to appease. In summary, us creatives can do our part in imparting new innovative and creative ideas without sacrificing what is expected from us by our clients. Sincerely, Taken by Terence In layman's term: Maghanda pa din tayo ng spagetti at lumpia sa birthday, pero mas sarapan natin ang luto.
I completely agree on your summary! the reason why I'm disencouraging couples to avail SDE not only because of predictability but also to give videographers who use templated SDE a wake up call and tell them na tama na, it needs to change. I know maraming maaffect sa ganito but based on the fb group, pag sumunod ang isang god tier na wedding videog, susunod naman lahat.
@@0xarchielim Instead discouraging clients in availing SDE, why not encourage them to be meticulous when picking a Photo/Video Team? That instead of them booking a vendor just because they're cheap, why not educate them that some vendors might charge a little more, but offer far better quality? Most, if not all clients do their research before booking a vendor. Since they are putting their hard-earned money into our services, they make sure that our work passes their "taste test" before they make their first deposit. Just because it doesn't suit your taste, it doesn't mean that it is bad for everybody. It's like asking everyone to stop eating cake just because it gave you a toothache.
@@0xarchielim stalked your account. Question, when did you start axie?
SDEs might be the same, templated or new, one thing is for sure, every single sde video has a story to tell so lahat sila unique lahat sila bagooooo 🙂 don't tell na pare pareho nalang ang pnproduce na video and SDE is bad for the industry 🙄🙄 and dont tell to use prenup clips pra may bago, dati na gnagawa yun. Fyi! Cashcow your face.
Because wedding itself is a template. It's how you make creative in such a way it will look different from the others. And SDE is for the client, not yours. If you're not happy with your output then the problem is with you and not with the SDE.
I understand that your perception is that SDE's have become stale and lack the "creativity" you are looking for. But this is mainly because there is an overwhelming amount of SDEs out there that the true gems are getting hard to come across. I think it is actually selfish of you to deny people their "cash cow" just because it has become stale and uncreative by your standards. There is a need for it that is why couples ask for it, regardless of the level of creativity. Subsequently, I also missed how SDEs are "cash cows" but yet "bad for the industry". What you're asking for is similar to this thought: "all movies should strive for award-winning performances, if not, they shouldn't be made at all." That's too much, that's behaving like an unappointed gatekeeper.
I've been a wedding photographer for 13 yrs, I was always excited to watch a same day edit if there was one. Legit question though, why are we all affected by a non factor? Isnt he supposed to be a crypto guy who likes to cut corners on import fees and customs? (I dont know him I'm just assuming from the next video playlist on my screen).
Ewan ko ano mga SDEs pinapanood mo, but as someone who has shot hundreds of weddings the past few years, I am still wowed by most of the output that the videographers I've worked with have put out.
Simple lang sagot ko dyan as someone who's been working in client-based production jobs for years na rin. Kung gusto ni client ng cliche or in your terms "templated", then you'll deliver them what they want. Wedding videos, pre-nup, SDE, or otherwise cater to the desires ng client. And what they want, they pay for, they get. Imagine encouraging young newly weds to not immortalize one of the greatest moments in their life kasi di ka satisfied? Or naboboringan ka? You can be the most creative nutjob in the world, but when the client says "I want this look". You make that look. If nabuburyo ka sa "templated" culture ng wedding SDEs, then why not step up to the stage and make a completely unique one? I'm sure with all your professional experience, accumulated expertise, and equipment, magagawa mo yan. Kaya mo yan! Pero if hindi, then take a seat, and let people enjoy things.
Jason Magbanua continues to amaze his clients with creative and untemplated SDE. Also with the team from Hello & Co Cinema. You just need to get out of that creative block to grow.
Every wedding has a diff couple and diff stories to tell. In my 7 years of being an SDE editor and filmmaker, no wedding is the same, all my documented 853 Wedding SDE's no one is the same. Every couple has genuine stories that differs from all other. Isa nanamang clickbait ng bobong pasikat pra mag trend.
EXACTLY. It’s about the STORY of the couple na na subject ng SDE. Bawat shot, VO, cut, gfx, lahat yan are tools to amplify the narrative. ‘Yan kulang vlogger na to: the ability to narrate stories.
Lets say you have the freedom to make/do video you wanted. Pero gawin mong maka-tao. Just because hindi mo na-achieve yung porte na alam kong pinangarap mo. Eh iba-brag mo nalang yung industry and will tell to future clients na wag na kumuha ng SDE on their wedding. Who are you????
And all of a sudden he is a SDE genius telling other sde editors that all sde is templated and is very easy when he himself cant even handle the pressure of sde and was played late?
if you know about the "monomyth" format of literature, then you've categorized thousands of stories into one template. That's every superhero origin story, almost all shonen anime, and even a lot of novels and epics out there. Yet for some reason there's always a fresh take, a new perspective, for the thousands of years humans have been weaving stories. I think the same can be applied to SDEs, after all, it's different people getting married, with different stories, and with different SDE creators.
Nothing beats the feeling of seeing the couple cry and laugh when your sde is played during the reception. You will see in the faces of most couples that feeling of big relief, the feeling of "we're finally here", upon seeing the videos/photos. After a long and probably stressfull preparation for the wedding, i think most couples deserve to watch and just let all of the best moments of their wedding sink in together with the people they are closest with at the end of the day. As an editor/shooter as well, when i feel like i'm in a creative rot, i go back and watch all the reactions we were able to capture during our previous sde's we've made and it reminds me the feeling of why we love shooting weddings in the first place.
Could you please give us the link for your first and last wedding shoot, good Sir? If said video wasn't uploaded, please do; we're eager to watch it. PS. google drive will do po.
Eh next time wag singsing yung creative shot... I'm begging u sir, turuan mo kami how to be creative.. Just asking lang.. God bless u bossing. Sana turuan mo kmi to be more creative...
Walang creativity, yung content at edit mo, Promise!

"Guys let me clarify a few things! I'm only talking about "templated SDE" not the whole SDE" @6:50 WOW innovative ang "not the whole SDE" tas sasabihin mo wag kumuha diba whole na yun? WOW sinungaling
Sana ang kinontent mo nalang is on how they can improve their work instead of telling people na wag kumuha ng sde because of your selfish point which is mag ka content at kumita....
Brad templated kasi ang kinukunan namin is Wedding traditions. Nasa live event coverage kami.
yes I agree yun na ang wedding tradition, pero sino ba gumawa nung ganitong tradition like pinapausot mo ung suit, pinapalakas mo ung entourage? was that really part of the wedding culture to begin with? or tayong mga videographer ang nagcreate ng wedding culture?
Weddings are documentary style of capture. Patakbuhin mo entourage, pasayawin mo bridemaids who cares? Basta nagustuhan ng couple yung video that's the goal.
you should say, have different shotlist, like baguhin yung gift giving, baguhin yung ginagawa sa prep creative shoots, etc. pero don't say na tanggalin yung sde
PLEASE CHILL! IM SORRY BUT I HAVE CREATED A REACTION VIDEO BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS THAT I HAVE TO TELL YOU WITH REGARDS TO THE PRONOUNCEMENTS YOU HAVE HERE.. BUT AGAIN MY 2 CENT IS FOR YOU SLOW DOWN BROTHER. YOUR OTHER SENSES CAN'T CATCH UP WITH YOUR MOUTH!.. DONT BE IN A HURRY! WATCH THE FINAL EDIT BEING MINDFUL OF THE WORDS THAT ARE COMING OUT OF YOUR MOUTH! ALAM MO NA NA MAY MALI KA HINDI MO PA INEDIT OUT. WOW!
I was debating if I should comment kasi dagdag kita pa sayo, pinanood ko na nga yung video eh nadagdagan ka pa ng views tuloy. Kuya, did you stop to think about the effect of your statement sa mga wedding videographers? I don’t think naman na it will have a huge effect kasi people will surely see na clickbait lang yung video mo at wala naman talaga substance, pero it would have been better if you took it down a notch and used less offensive words. Next, yes may template, and it is good to have one kasi may certain expectation ang couples. Saka kuya, oo may shot ng groom with groomsmen and bride with bridesmaids and that’s the usual pero kasi kuya, sa bawat wedding, nagiiba naman yung mga tao na yun? So bawat wedding, different people. I told my videographer (Jake Olaso Wedding Films) na ayoko ng mga “posed” shots at mas gusto ko ang natural and candid shots and he delivered. Lastly, kuya, maraming videographers ang iniincorporate yung prenup videos. You saying that wala pang nakakaisip nun goes to show na di ka talaga nagresearch. Kasi kuya, not all couples have the budget to get prenup services ng videographer. Hahaha! Hay, anyway kuya, nakakuha ka nga ng views and comment now pero you made an enemy naman eh di hindi rin sustainable yung move mo for your channel di ba.
I suggest you to watch couple's reactions on their wedding sde. Hindi lng puro pera kundi we want to make sure at the end of their wedding day mapapasaya namin sa pamamagitan ng pagpapalabas. Puso at passion ❤️ hustisya para sa mga same day editors.
Pass na sa SDE templates. Nakakangilo na yung scripted na banter, bihis, etc. As an alternative, pwede namang Q&A with the couple (ex. first date, first impression, favorite qualities, favorite, habits; peg is recreate YT vids) to bring them closer to the guests.
Clearly this guy doesn’t understand wedding videography and SDE. Dyos ko po! The suggestions you mentioned was done some 15 years ago! Please be creative.
Ring shot. Bride and Groom. Entourage etcetera. Kahit sa photographer. Paulit ulit lang. DAHIL YUN ANG MGA IMPORTANTENG BAGAY AT DETAILS NA DAPAT MAKUHA MO. After mong makuha yun. From candid shots, to documentary, journalism style o street photography.
Long Talking head Video for a simple statement. Waste of time. Next time add some samples and videos to prove your point. As of now, medyo hearsay lang ang dating ng opinion mo instead of being an informed one. I may have spoken that SDE templates need to change, but never will I say they were bad for the industry.
You already said it yourself, it’s not your forte so why bother creating an 8 min video thinking you know all about it. Well, aren’t we glad you didn’t pursue being a wedding videographer cos you’ll just be one of the mediocre ones who charge the customer a fortune with their unimaginative output.
Im not a pro. But since nung nakapanuod ako ng sde ng tropa ko sobra kong nainspired at napa wow how creative and magical ang isang araw ng couple by the help of sde or any vid with the same theme. It is something to treasure. Parang documentary ng isang page ng buhay mag asawa.
I think the reason bat sya ganito ay dahil di nya kaya.
Show us your sample sde output. Every wedding is different. Different people, different weather, different places also different auras of the person and most importantly different stories. Doon nakabase ang video. If you pointed out that SDE videos today are not that great, it means you are not watching a ton of videos para masabi mo na panget to. "wag kumuha ng same day edit" Well, you are not our client to satisfy. Di ka namin kailangan for short. Their reaction when they watch the same day edit is totally priceless. That's what important not your hypocrite opinion.... ✌️
Dinya kasi kasi natapos on time sde kaya ganyan pinagsasabi nya hahaha. Yung mismong shooter pag shot ng wedding iba ibang eksena na yun eh nandyan bumabagyo, biglang brownout,. sabi nya dinya Porte ang pag eedit kaya gusto nya wg na avail sde hahaha
kung "paulit ulit nalang" then you're not creative enough. it's true that the things you shoot would be repetitive, cause every job gets repetitive if you're already in the industry for years. Totoo na i shoot mo ang ring ng paulit ulit, but there are countless creative ideas to shoot the ring. Every Couple has their own different story, and how you build their story is what makes every wedding unique.. Editing, Shooting, Directing is a skill. Creativity is a talent. Yung creativity siguro yung wala ka. Ingat! :)
ha?? sayo na mismo nanggaling... "my first and last shoot" ibig sabihin incompetent ka. kumbaga parang sinabi mo narin na, first time mong niluto ang isang potahe tapos nung di ka nasarapan sabihin mo sa ibang tao "hindi ko to recommend"?? been shooting weddings for the last 6 years, and nasa sayo kung ano ang gusto mong matutunan. yung mga sinasabi mo BASE lang sa mga hindi masyado pinag isipan, hence, kulang ang preparation tapos yung couple and guests hindi ganon ka prepared mahiyain pa, ayaw makisama pag sinabing "tara po mam sir shoot po tayo, gawin po natin ito" tapos sila puro cellphone puro pa-cute, alangan pilitin ng photographer/videographer? COMING FROM YOU BRO, "my first and last shoot" mo na. try to shoot more then saka ka mag bigay ng opinion. sobrang MISLEADING NG MGA PINAG SASABI MO. kung forte mo travel videography, bakit hindi ka dun nag bigay ng opinion? IRONIC, 1st time mo lang nag shoot ng wedding tapos dami mong sinabi about sa wedding. IT TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE.
ha?? sinabi kong first and last shoot kasi hindi siya para sakin, it doesn't mean I'm incompetent.
Your opinions and suggestions only matter when they hire you to organize it. What matters is kung ano magpapasaya sa kanila. In time may bagong wave naman ng ideas ang dadating sa mundo ng videos ee. Since muka ka namang privileged, ikaw na mismo mag discover nun and wag mo nalang pakialaman yung mga taong kumikita ng maayos sa ganung larangan.
SDE's became popular because the couple are practically blind during the whole event. They are so focused on getting married. From the parents crying, their proud faces, friend laughing and other little nuances. These are "highligthed" through SDE. They want to see and experience that while they are in the moment, The little things that they missed. That adds value to them. And that is what they are paying for
The wedding alone is a template. Pareho lang naman lahat ng kasal. May bride at groom. May officiant, may venue. Ano ba dapat ang isho-shoot? Bogo-a.
You're thinking like a videographer/photographer. Try to think like a client as well. Oo sa mata naten paulet ulet n yan (Template n nga kung baga) pero kung ikaw ung client at gs2 mo macapture ang moments (specially with family) doing SDEs are more proper para nasshare mo ung moments na nacapture with your families/relatives/friends on the freaking same day of the event which is more appealing sa potential clients watching as well.
@@0xarchielim Obligation to do the job? Yes. Obligation to do experiments (Being artsy or creative) while on the job? Not so much. Maybe to you oo pero for the most of nasa industry, Whatever works works. You think just because you already seen it somewhere it doesnt have any artistic/creative vibes into it? Think again my friend. Hindi mag bboom ang SDE if walang may gs2 neto.
@@0xarchielim Kung mkakahanap k ng client na you can go all out and be creative GO. pero for the most of the clients being safe is good. Being "Templated" is good
Yung pinaghirapan mo. Yung feeling na... "Men, eto na yon!!!" Templated man o hindi. Planado man o hindi. Worth it man yung bayad o hindi.
We don't do it for ourselves. We do it for the clients. The clients love to reminisce the memories thru SDEs. If they love it, we love it.
D matutumbasan.. Ma templated or hindi, its not a problem.. Baguhin ang SDE: ang clients ang mag dadala nang camera and the cameran and videohan para magka "wow factor" for you..
1st and last gig?
Balik ka mag shoot ng wedding sir
Then pakita mo samin yung "unique" na wedding film
Pag nagawa mo yun, I’m sure you’ll see the “difference.”
Paulit-ulit oo, eh malamang kasal yun eh.
Anyway, for me, this will never be a healthy discussion kung ganyan mo sinimulan.
Mabuhay!
baka kulang sa education tong taong to kasi templated na utak nito. masyadong mayabang to.

Da..sana na..

Well said Cham. 1st and last wedding lang experience niya pero andami nya ng alam. Not credible.
Agree Cham 💯
Don't be sorry bro,you said the right thing.
TIA.
this young boy clearly does not know what he's blabbing about. this is nothing but an insincere, ignorant and unhelpful content.
Nah.

At dapat may ma-trigger ka for views.
TEMPLATE hahahahaha
korek. CASH COW tong lokong to eh. or mukha siyang COW. hahaha.
teka .. makagawa nga ng "reaction vlog" na templated din on why some INEXPERIENCED one time self-proclaimed videographer slash photographer get's bored easily on templated SDE's ... with his pic as my video thumbnail ..
May nagcomment na ba dito na nagustuhan yung video na to? Kung meron please pakikalat din. Hahaha

Nag aabang kami master heehhe

Thats's All 😉✌️
BTW incoming 500,000+ people from PV industry will try to take down your puchu puchu YT channel for making this content. 🥰

Exactly. Very well said

Patingin nga ng Same Day Edit mo, kahit hindi Wedding.

It would be cool to follow up this video and test out your proposal on a client so that you could validate your claim "magiging creative kami for short" with the new workflow
noted on this!
Dito maniniwala talaga akooo, adam to e! 😁
@@0xarchielim take down mo video mo.
@@0xarchielim 1st and last wedding? And you have the audacity to critic wedding videography? lol
@@0xarchielim yeah but don't encourage not availing SDE, pandemic ngayon and bumabangon pa lang ang events industry.
@@0xarchielim Mag reply ka sa mga sikat na Pro. Wag sa kung sino sino lang. Takot ka pala eh!
Hindi ako videographer, editor, whatever. Kinasal ako at isa ang SDE sa pinaka hinangad namin mag-asawa. Bakit?
Mismo sir. It's for the guest sabi ko nga sa comment ko. Not for the editors or videographers.
HAHAHA
Ninanamnam mo nga yung moment kaya wala ka ng pakelam sa ibang bagay bagay at pangyayari sa paligid during your wedding day. Haha
Upon watching the video, here are my thoughts:
Sincerely,
Taken by Terence

Cashcow your face.
Correct. Even yung mismong wedding ceremony templated eh.
Because wedding itself is a template. It's how you make creative in such a way it will look different from the others.
And SDE is for the client, not yours. If you're not happy with your output then the problem is with you and not with the SDE.
Exactly

How can you create a healthy conversation about this matter where in fact you are insulting the effort and the story being put up by our co-creators?
💯 that's what's up!
1. Drone shot habang exchange ng vows
2. Naka-Go Pro ung couple pati si father
4.
“A lion doesn’t concern himself with the opinions of the sheep.”

Weddings are documentary style of capture. klasik reaction video mo brad!
Kalma sis hahaha

Show us your sample sde output. Every wedding is different. Different people, different weather, different places also different auras of the person and most importantly different stories. Doon nakabase ang video. If you pointed out that SDE videos today are not that great, it means you are not watching a ton of videos para masabi mo na panget to.
"wag kumuha ng same day edit"
Well, you are not our client to satisfy. Di ka namin kailangan for short. Their reaction when they watch the same day edit is totally priceless. That's what important not your hypocrite opinion.... ✌️
Dinya kasi kasi natapos on time sde kaya ganyan pinagsasabi nya hahaha.
kung "paulit ulit nalang" then you're not creative enough. it's true that the things you shoot would be repetitive, cause every job gets repetitive if you're already in the industry for years. Totoo na i shoot mo ang ring ng paulit ulit, but there are countless creative ideas to shoot the ring. Every Couple has their own different story, and how you build their story is what makes every wedding unique..
Editing, Shooting, Directing is a skill. Creativity is a talent. Yung creativity siguro yung wala ka. Ingat! :)
ha?? sayo na mismo nanggaling... "my first and last shoot" ibig sabihin incompetent ka. kumbaga parang sinabi mo narin na, first time mong niluto ang isang potahe tapos nung di ka nasarapan sabihin mo sa ibang tao "hindi ko to recommend"?? been shooting weddings for the last 6 years, and nasa sayo kung ano ang gusto mong matutunan. yung mga sinasabi mo BASE lang sa mga hindi masyado pinag isipan, hence, kulang ang preparation tapos yung couple and guests hindi ganon ka prepared mahiyain pa, ayaw makisama pag sinabing "tara po mam sir shoot po tayo, gawin po natin ito" tapos sila puro cellphone puro pa-cute, alangan pilitin ng photographer/videographer?
COMING FROM YOU BRO, "my first and last shoot" mo na. try to shoot more then saka ka mag bigay ng opinion. sobrang MISLEADING NG MGA PINAG SASABI MO. kung forte mo travel videography, bakit hindi ka dun nag bigay ng opinion? IRONIC, 1st time mo lang nag shoot ng wedding tapos dami mong sinabi about sa wedding.
IT TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE.
ha?? sinabi kong first and last shoot kasi hindi siya para sakin, it doesn't mean I'm incompetent.
@@0xarchielim oo kasi gusto ko muna intindihin bago mag-vlog about math.
Also Archie: LeTS tALk AB0uT SDE 😎🤡🤡🤡
Hahahahaha incompetent 😂💩
And that is what they are paying for
you can see all this in full wedding highlight na ibibgay sayo ng team a few weeks after your wedding at un ang mas meaningful para sa newly weds.
The wedding alone is a template. Pareho lang naman lahat ng kasal. May bride at groom. May officiant, may venue. Ano ba dapat ang isho-shoot? Bogo-a.
You're thinking like a videographer/photographer. Try to think like a client as well. Oo sa mata naten paulet ulet n yan (Template n nga kung baga) pero kung ikaw ung client at gs2 mo macapture ang moments (specially with family) doing SDEs are more proper para nasshare mo ung moments na nacapture with your families/relatives/friends on the freaking same day of the event which is more appealing sa potential clients watching as well.
but also as a videographer you have an obligation to exert your creativity to your client, hindi ung templated SDE ang ibibigay mo right? :)
"Men, eto na yon!!!"
--
Templated man o hindi.
Planado man o hindi.
Worth it man yung bayad o hindi.
gusto mo matuto sa wedding videography? mute mo video habang naka-play or wag mo na i-play, tapos basahin lahat ng comments, then thank me later...
We don't do it for ourselves. We do it for the clients. The clients love to reminisce the memories thru SDEs. If they love it, we love it.
Ikaw, Archie Lim, 'di ka namin love!
:( ok lang mahal parin kita
Ano po yung sinasabi nyo sa 7:00 ? kuha kayo ng mas magandang highlight talagang wedding video talaga? diba same lang sila as SDE na highlight din wedding!!
full wedding film! :)
D matutumbasan..
Ma templated or hindi, its not a problem..
Baguhin ang SDE: ang clients ang mag dadala nang camera and the cameran and videohan para magka "wow factor" for you..
1st and last gig?
