I live in New Orleans and it’s a heat index of 115 but we do have air conditioning. But understand always being sweaty, we call it swamp ass down here. You can’t escape it.
Can’t decide if the gym or the custom bar nook is the most exciting lol. 😂🤣 Once y’all have everything good to go, do you think you + Dejan will go to other gyms as much? I’d be tempted to add a giant mirror on one wall just to keep an eye on posture/technique/extensions.
I am a designer and I agree with you on changing that dining room nook to an arch. Much better! That being said, they are very hard to execute and I hope the contractors can get those notches fixed. I love seeing all of your house updates!
Your basement is looking great. Keep at least one full box of all tile and flooring used - your future self will thank you. And keep all receipts that show model numbers for all plumbing/lighting fixtures because you will need to order replacement parts 😜. Love your videos, thanks.

Have you ever looked into Soft Claws for cats? As a vet tech we would apply them to cats that love to scratch furniture. They are basically little nail caps 😊 they need reapplying occasionally, usually about once a month.

Get mosquito nets installed on your windows!! I just found out that apparently it's not that common in NA to have them, but here in Italy they already include it in every house because the mosquitos during the summer are insane 🥴 you'll be able to keep your windows open during the night without worrying about bugs/mosquitos/moths flying in!
In NA people have AC so they keep their windows closed in general. In Europe, we need more imagination 😉
Actually in British Columbia if you don’t have AC and many don’t we have a long history of using screens on our windows. They even fit on sliding patio doors! 🇨🇦😀
Every province I’ve lived in has had screens in windows! I’m surprised to hear otherwise.

Listen, I grew up in Puerto Rico and sailing quite often! Unlike how in LA the closer you are to the beach, the cooler, in PR it’s hotter than the effing sun! But even so, the older I get, the less I can take the heat. Really it’s the heat combined with humidity that can actually make me cry. Cry! Me the girl who grew up the freaking Caribbean.
It gets in the 100s at my house in LA, but at least it’s dry and at least there is central a/c (some parts of LA don’t though). But in Puerto Rico central a/c is only for the obscenely rich!

We’ve had a few days around 40C and many days of heat indices around 40C. I don’t know how you stand it without air conditioning! I’d find a way to sleep in your basement until the air is installed.
