I am a retired nuclear chemist. I must say you did a great job of teaching basic chem. Your enthusiasm is what makes the difference. My professors were dry, ancient and boring...can't see how I made it...lol ...if it wasn't for the cute blond next to me who was willing to translate for me...lol. Now that was "chemistry"..lol

Man! If chemistry was explained to me like this in high school I would totally learned more about chemistry!

Nathaniel, you are right. I had the same issue with chemistry in high school. Thanks to Dr. Kurt Wise, I like such teachings!

I just learned more in this short time than I did in an entire year of Chemistry class.

I discovered the Periodic table in an encyclopedia in 4th grade at my elementary school library. I was so fascinated with it that I spent my recess breaks for the next few weeks sitting in the library writing out a copy for myself. There was something about the orderliness of it that amazed me. That was 50 years ago! So much has been added since then as Dmitri's prediction about other elements yet to be discovered has been upheld over and over again.

It’s such a shame our education system doesn’t translate the awesome marvels of how the universe works.
It’s a service too God to explore creation.

Excellent stuff! I guess it would be difficult though to grasp all the concepts of the elements, their properties & interactions with no prior knowledge of basic chemistry. You'd probably be lost within five minutes. Thankfully, God somehow sorted it all out to perfection.

I always wondered what makes something like gold different to lead, and basically it comes down to numbers. The entire universe has been mathematically expressed down to the atomic level; quite staggering.

Amazing does not do His Creation justice.

Dr Wise misspoke at 4:50. He meant to say proton when he said neutron. Ions are atoms which have an unequal number of electrons and protons. Another misspeak at 20:15, when he said Calcium instead of Chlorine. He'd already explained how NaCl is common table salt.

and this amazing system came from a big bang? wow last time i heard a chunk of dynamite could never make this happen so a larger big bang, notta chance but a personal loving creatoer is behind all of his creation.

Aye but when two Oxygen atoms choose to hang out together it just puts them in the exact same situation they were in before, so what's the point?

Still leaves lots of questions, but how do explain the unexplainable, you don't, so you call it theory. And explains why teachers fail in explaining.

I thought that's what Science was all about?? The only reason science exists however is because it presupposes order which can only come from a Constant ie God.
