I bought the re-release and apart from the gap on the passenger side between rear engine hood and the cabin (which btw in real life is not that visible as in the pictures) I do not find any flaws in this model. Also the first release is almost guaranteed to have a lot of paint rash so I gladly sacrifice one bigger gap for a flawless paint of the 2nd release. I also had a GT Spirit F40 which had better overall shape but nothing beats fully openable die cast. I also think the new model is a bit overpriced, 300-350€ is really a lot, especially for a 2nd release that they do not have to develop new tooling, however it is selling out fast so aparently price does not bother people that much ;)
I always wanted the f40, but i was always concerned with the paint problem, which is why i prefer the new release it is a very nice model but i don't like how fragile it feels specifically around the front wheels 😂 i was considering getting a gt spirit one but as you said nothing beats a fully open diecast 😂😂 specially the popup headlight lights 😂😂😂

The correct way to say what you tried to say would have been " This is my favorite supercar"- because best it was not. IMO, 512TR is better for sure, if only because F40 had an 8-cylinder turboed engine while 512TR had a 5-liter 12 cylinder engine (get it?) that evolved out of 512BB that actually raced and podiumed at LeMans (there was F40LM version too but not sure how successful it was). In any case, a naturally-aspirated 12-cylinder is always beats a turboed 8-cylinder. 512TR also had the distinction of being the widest Ferrari ever road car ever, and while not as 'pretty' as F40, it was more hardcore 'metal', crazier, more radical, and the last naturally aspirated 12-cylinder mid-engine car that Ferrari ever made...
F40 was probably the prettiest Ferrari- I'll give you that. Cheers!

Beautiful and detailed model car. I got the yellow F49 by GT Spirit, but would like to get a red one with all openings from Kyosho or another maker 🤞
The GT Spirit is a very beautiful model, and the paint quality on it is perfect. The problem with kyosho models is the paint rash. After a couple of years, to be honest, one of the main reasons i choose the kyosho model is the popup headlight 😅😅 but now there is a manufacturer called gl models i guess they are making a resin models with popup headlights ifvthe paint is good on it im thinking of getting one
@@ScaleReviews_118 thank you, I didn't know about GL Models, I can see they make quality model cars, but the price is pretty high too. Good to know about Kyosho paint quality, I don't own any Kyosho model car yet, mostly OttOmobile, GT Spirit or Solido, and few AUTOart ones
I purchased this a couple of weeks ago. My only grumble is the frog lights! They are operated by a small plastic latch underneath the car. The driver side light doesn’t fully retract back in! I’ve had to place some tape on it to stop it from moving up

Yes, 100% true, but a random thing i knew lately is that the burago one is based on the concept. f40, other models are based on the production version of the f40. The main difference i noticed is the engine glass design
I'm glad I got one too! Do you know if this re-release was a one time thing or are they still making more now? Everywhere is sold out and i want to get another one. Otherwise its ebay.
To be honest, i don't know, but i know that they are releasing new colors of it, but if its only eBay, try to get one before the prices go crazy 😁
