I am in late thirties and I know the pressure my parents and society put on me to get married and have babies.. whereas I wanted to travel the world and live on my terms and marry someone I truly feel confident to be with... Everyone found me insane but I am happy to do what I wanted to... ❤️
@Abhilasha Jangam kudos. You have every single right to do what makes you happy. So let the world sink and you wear your traveling shoes and enjoy the beautiful journey of life.Good luck
LOVED THIS INTERVIEW! Resonated with so much spoken by you and Lilly. What an incredible woman. As a South Asian woman myself, its so inspiring seeing the way she's described her relation and understanding of her parents. A blessing to be able to listen to this!
The more we work on our own selves, the more our circumstances and overall lives change. The more we grow and invest into ourselves, the more we will see a transformation, especially how we better communicate with others. You got this, I believe in you and invest into YOU! Best investment you can ever do is in yourself for your family, others, and your future! 💯% back guarantee return on your investment! Have a great day! 🚀🎉❤️
I'm a highly sensitive person and afraid to break the stereotypical family thoughts. Yeah I'm from India. So, a lot of conservative thoughts are built in right from childhood. This video actually brought tears in my eyes. Frankly! Because I totally relate to this situation. But how to come out of it is what I'm confused.
So much to learn from Lilly. She saved me as a teenager and I just remember laughing while watching her skits because everything was relatable. I went to watch her show in India and i remember just tears rolling down my eyes because I felt so grateful. Her videos back in the day made me feel so good about myself and not think about my insecurities. I'm again going through a tough time in my life and I'm so glad I came across this video because i had lost a piece of myself and really forgot who I was. I'm glad I've been following idols like Lilly that I know won't misguide her audience for views and clout. Thanks a lot Lilly! Love you ❤
I love what she said about making new connections and having that old mindset attached with that. I'm in a point in my life where I'm understanding that the people that were meant to be in your life can sometimes be met in unexpected ways. Her words are beautifully said. I had to research her sun sign and hers is a Libra (which makes a lot of sense, she would be the representation of balance). I'm glad she can share her insight and her spiritual awareness to the people of my generation because the times have changed. We all crave that independence of self expression and individualism. This video was beautiful and it will forever be in alignment. Thank you so much, I'm very grateful for this channel.
To the *incredible person* that's seeing this, I wish you all the best in life❤ don't over blame yourself, accept things and go forward. Don't let others define what “success” is for you. Get up, learn the skills needed and get after it, all the keys to a happy life is in your hands. Keep pushing.
The most interesting part of the podcast was when Lilly discussed the context and how people are shaped by their experiences. We should respect each other's boundaries. Taking care of ourselves positively impacts the quality of our lives and the circumstances in which we live. As we invest in ourselves and grow, we will experience a transformation, especially in the way we communicate with others. Don't take chances, invest in yourself! Investing in yourself, your family, and your future is wise! I have been a fan of Lilly and Jay for years, so this collaboration fills me with joy on all levels. You both are incredible. Keep doing what you do.
Jay: "My auntie has that book by the way if you need a copy." 😂🤣 Love the honesty in this conversation. Huge shout out to Lilly for sharing her inner workings 💗.
This is my very first time here, I’m going to be honest. This conversation is what I needed in my life now. After realize the truth of reality it’s hard to face the world to me, that gimme the opportunity to redesign everything.
I remember watching her when I was in High School now I’m post college grad and I 100% relate to this! My parents did the best they could with the tools they had. Their concerns growing up were different than mine!
I am actually pausing the podcast in half to write this but SO much of what Lily is saying about changing values, priorities and the definition of success has been my internal monologue for several months now!! It resonates so much and to know its a shared feeling feels good. Thank you for creating this podcast💜👍
After listening to this podcast I am thinking about the things I had missed out on while focusing on something else so much ! Absolutely loved this episode n I didn’t want it to end! Great work guys 🙏🏼
The way Lily's parents see the world, the way she described them, sooooo soo relatable as my parents are exactly the same. They too were born and bred in India, Gujarat, moved here for a better life etc and always emphasised hard work and education. All those things are important, but the degree to which you're educated can vary and doesn't diminish a person's strengths or talents. But yeh thinking differently to our parents, growing up with that is tough as I always felt like I was the odd one out seeing things differently etc. Thank you for sharing this Lily and Jay!
Absolutely delightful "energy" exchange. One of my all time fav podcast. Adore Lily's new take on making new friends, and creating new history together. BEAUTIFUL❤️
The key is not putting the law of attraction on a pedestal. You don’t put oxygen on a pedestal, you just use it. The same with LOA. Just be chill! ~Much Love from a Law of Attraction RUclipsr💜
Really enjoyed this !!! Two of my favorite people sharing such wisdom. The energy was off the charts , it was interesting and enlightening to watch. Loved it !
After this video I had to check both your personality types. It was like having to two me's advice me. Thanks Jay(INFJ) for all these awesome words of advice and viewpoints shared with lilly(ENFJ).
And also the part where she talks about her career and unsubscribing to the idea that it couldn’t be and DESIGNING her life in a way that it would. That is sooo beautiful and impactful to me. B/c I’ve been in school like 5 or 6 years now. And changed my majors, stopped and started again. And asked myself is this really what I want to do. I’m studying to be a psychodynamic therapist. But Idk if want to be stuck in a 4 wall room only seeing a handful of clients. I feel more expansive than that. What I truly want is to be able to learn all the information, do the work came back to people with the information and experience I went through to help them as well. To be on a stage or across the world or even a Jay shetty podcast some day to spread the light of my heart. But I didn’t know what title that would be called. Idk how I could explain that to my parents or make it happen. But like Lilly said “I’m going to design my life in that way that better serves me that this idea could work” so thank you for this encouragement ☺️
Jay if your reading this, I think bringing back some of your past guests was an amazing decision especially for the viewers to expand upon what they knew then watching, and what they know now. One suggestion if I may so far you have bought back the guests whom impacted me and am sure millions more the most... But Alexis Ren has to be back. Hopefully sometime in the future. Lilly, Big Sean, Alexis Ren and Lauren London. We're for me the game changers among others. But these interview where the ones where I saw another dimension. Thanks Chloe
This was a really good interview. Only thing is I think degrees can help people grow to how they wish to grow in, everyone's journey. She said really good things and its really about finding balance in everything we do, being content while doing anything. Life is really precious. She has grown a lot! It seems like her book will be good. :)
What a powerful women she is . She is so unique in her thinking. She teached me you can do anything you put your mind to . It’s the end it’s only the begging of your journey it starts here .
The courage that Lily must have needed to openly tell her parents she's bisexual must have been one of the hardest things she has ever done, and for so many others who have experienced the same. Truly so brave, so strong and an inspiration to many!
I enjoyed every bit of this, watching both inspirational people so lovely. I would love for you to bring Selena Gomez on your podcast, it will be great!
There’s some good stuff in here. Also the world wants to teach us that we can’t change, but change for good is the foundation of life and the whole point of life!
Liking this because of so many reasons, but because of the fact that she talked about if someone makes a mistake or has a lack of understanding you should have compassion and let them redeem themselves. Or the two come together in unity.
You have no idea how triangle is important symbol for me, so to see you trailer lily (I cried) it spoke to me. Perfect title, I understood your intent immediately.
How coincidental! I was listening to her being on your podcast in 2019 when I got the RUclips notification for this video. Lol Lily you are so inspiring! Keep being you and being the impactful powerful women that you are!
I'm not okay, I thought I got over this feeling but it keeps coming back. I hate myself, I'm scared of myself, my thoughts my wants. I feel like I'm not enough and I will never be.
Hi Eden, i understand n feel you. Thoughts n feelings of the negative sort do not go away immediately but you will get to a place of self love & know you are more than enough. Stay committed to healing yourself. Pls believe me because so many of us have gone & are going through the same. And if i am now in a good place consistently, you can too❤️ Sending you love & loads of support❤️ Pls be kind to yourself.
The moment when she talked about coming out to her parents and how they didn’t say the EXACT sentences she imagined in her head so she was kind of dismissive towards them . Man I think that’s why I struggle with visualization/ manifesting thinking that any Situation could be “better than you could imagine” because even if it does goes well it’s not what I pictured and I might be disappointed or let down that it wasn’t all true you know ?
I am in late thirties and I know the pressure my parents and society put on me to get married and have babies.. whereas I wanted to travel the world and live on my terms and marry someone I truly feel confident to be with... Everyone found me insane but I am happy to do what I wanted to... ❤️

@@trichi.chauhan1659 thanks dear ❤️
I can totally relate. :)
I used to follow Lilly when she was vlogging nonstop and on her hussle. This side of her is a GLOW UP & she was already a star. Loved this interview 😊

The goal of life is to live every moment. Not community issues. For example: If you can not see the river flowing, your mind is out of the ground.
