Hey Steve, very informative video. Please talk about smallcap privacy coins like Xspec and DeepOnion also since everyone already knows about Monero, Dash, Zcash and PIVX. I think these low marketcap coins have more growth potential that the big ones.
I love privacy coins. This new trend will dominate 2018. This trend is also reflected in Monero/Dash market caps. Today Monero is the favourite coin for ransomware attacks and Zcash con offer even better privacy protecion. Great video, thank you!!
I'm a big fan of privacy coins ever since I started crypto, that's why I got some holdings of MOnero, Dash and Zcash and kept them for lending on my Poloniex account. I am thinking to buy some Verge now on Binance, because its getting a big red already, might be a dip, but I'm kinda holding back because of the recent tweet of John McAfee, saying that Verge has been wrongly pumped by fake accounts. Maybe I can still add it for my long term holding collections. But my favorite now is DeepOnion, great healthy price growth, doesn't look like pump, and lots of potential to move forward. I am watching out their very unique feature, that soon to be released, called DeepSend, it said that it can hide your transactions, that even if you use explorer, it cannott be view. This is why I love privacy coins. They have different unique features but always value the importance of our privacy and security.
Can you make an updated video on the undervalued privacy coins? I think they're really going to blow up this year. DeepOnion and DigitalNote to be specific.
Hello Steve/Jeff, what do you guys think of Colossuscoin XT (COLX) - privacy + masternodes - it's been making some awesome gains tonight and the chatter rooms are alive with talk of this new beast. Their wallet and website are looking good, and many of us have gotten on this train early. Would be great if you could have a look at it! p.s. its hitting Cryptopia in 2 days time, so its expected to rocket some more.
I started a couple of weeks ago and only about 20% or less of my portfolio is in BTC, the rest in alts I believe have huge potential in 2018. Is it a mistake to only have this much BTC? I'm waiting for some of my investments to start mooning before I take some profit into BTC, but today I'm down about 5% in Satoshis across my portfolio.... Should I keep holding strong on alts or move some of it over to BTC? I was thinking that Alts would gain me Satoshis as BTC Dominance was decreasing, but is it about to start increasing again going into 2018? Thanks in advance AcB fam :)
Nice video and good list, nice to see some alternative investments that i wasn't aware of. I am not really sure why Verge has seen such a big pump lately as i doesn't really offer so much different to some other privacy coins that are out which haven't been hyped by Mcafee! Some that are under the top100 coins on coinmarketcap have seen huge gains lately and will likely grow in value more than Verge will its just that they are under the radar now. Some of these are Cloak Coin, ZenCash and DeepOnion all of which have seen their prices more than doubled in the last few months and have much more room to grow!
Almost sold Verg when the fake news hit the internet. Thanks to Jeff not panicking and telling everyone to sell I actually bought more. Sure enough today the BS about Verge looks to be sorted out. Now we wait patiently.
TenX allows you to pick which type of currency you want to use from their phone app! So for example if you want to pay using dash, select dash on their app and your card with be debited dash :)
Sold verge at 0.25. Put limit order at 0.17. I thought it won't happen since Verge has been popular. It went down to 0.11 today!!! So don't just Hodl. When it's at peak, sell it and buy at the dip. it will dip no matter what.
Slow blockchains make 4 of these non-starters for me. However, Verge and PIVX are great projects with lots of potential. I am accumulating Verge on dips and may start on PIVX. Thanks for the insightful vid.
What about VUC? It's new, has a low supply, great privacy, fast transaction time, many benefits but I don't see it being talked about it much. Thoughts?
Should take a look at Enigma. MIT project and extremely impressive team and backing. A whole privacy protocol, not just a private transactions coin. The protocol will allow multi-party computations on encrypted data, without ever having to expose the data. Endless applications and dapps that can be built on top of the Enigma protocol. This one is going to be huge.
Yea, slack during ICO was hacked and that resulted in people losing money, which they fully recompensed. I think someone that doesn't look further into this project because they stop at "the ico was hacked" is paying a big opportunity cost for their willful ignorance. I have yet to see someone who doesn't actually take a good look at the project in a more in depth way that isn't impressed by it.
Hey guys, where should we hold our coins (keys). Online wallet, hard wallet, on the actual trading site? I watch quite q bit of crypto vids on You Tube and this one (Altcoin Buzz) has become my favorite. Honest opinions that bring insight. Thanks everybody.
Sumokoin is best pick for 20 18 for sure. Monero fork with better privacy, lower fees and is truly fungible. Since ringCT 12+1 mixing has been obfuscating txs and tx amounts since first block in the blockchain. It's highly resistant to blockchain analysis and blacklisting of any coin is practically impossible. Other coins claim to be fungible, but there are weaknesses in their claim.
Hey @Altcoin Buzz, I have to say it always bothered me that anyone can see what I have in my ETH wallet, what I've been receiving and sending - not fan of it so thats one of the reasons why I look into privacy coins. I've always been big fan of Dash, wanted to mine it with the D3 but was late for the orders. Lately I've been quite close to DeepOnion - fairly new TOR network based privacy coin. Its only halfway thru the airdrops so the price is quite low making it really attractive even though in last few weeks the price went up by about 400% and keeps on rising. It would be great if you could cover upcoming coins like that in one of your videos instead of the established ones. Looking forward to it ;)
I found it amazing that DeepOnion had no mention in the video, but it's good to see it get some love in the comments. For a Privacy coin that has tremendous community and developer support, yet only has a $30,000,000 marketcap I believe all investors that are seriously looking to make good returns should be paying attention. That is compared to the multi-billion marketcaps of some of the other choices in the video. You want room to grow in your investment, coins like DeepOnion or Zoin offers significantly more room for growth than say Dash which already went 500% in recent times and has a market cap 100x more. If your looking for Privacy, look at what the coins have in store for 2018 before settling on your choice.
Is there a reason NAVCOIN is not on the list? Three years in the making, great team and products to prove their work. Super interested in it. Its easy usability could lead to mass adoption. Works through Tor and has a toggle for privacy. Just wondering if it has privacy flaws that would cause it not to be on the list. It seems like the best one for day to day use.
Steve, There is a brand new privacy coin XIOS I came across. They have been in the market for just a few months and their market cap is just a little over a million. Do you think there is a potential in the new privacy coin like that? Thanks
I could not agree more privacy is the way to go this year! I don't know, I liked Verge really until they missed out on couple of serious deadlines. Like the recent one that caused tremendous dip and they didn't even published anything in the meanwhile. It is still part of my portfolio, but I'm looking for something more stable now. Monero is of course very decent, as well as Zcash but I'm not sure how you've missed DeepOnion. That project is something different, roadmap always updated, just released Whitepaper public version, community is very VERY strong. It's running on TOR native on 800+ exit nodes, has already some unique features like DeepVault (verification of files if they've been altered) and with upcoming features like DeepSend, VoteCentral, Smart Contracts... this is one on my watch list for sure for this year.
Nice video, you picked out 5 of the most promising coins, a few which have been on my radar for some time. But somehow I missed Verge, I don't know how, thanks for that. One other new coin that I came across and is definitely worth checking out is DeepOnion, would love to know your views on it. Nonetheless, privacy cryptos in general seem to have a bright future. Let's HODL!! ;)
I personally think that privacy coins are the safest place to store your money in..i have invested some money in Zcoin, Pivx and DeepOnion..the last two are both POS based coins this means that you can mine some coins weekly just by keeping your wallet online...i have to admit that the DeepOnion POS rewards are pretty nice... i would like to see a video of yours about these coins..
I also believe that privacy-oriented crypto-currencies are going to be a trend in 2018. There are more and more projects out there seeking to get a share of this market. That would be nice if you could do more videos on this topic in the future. I used to be an XVG holder a couple months ago but it got a bit unstable at some point and I discarded them to avoid losses, unfortunately I forgot to buy them back as I was really busy outside of the crypto realm. I have heard a lot of good things about Phore lately and been really interested by DeepOnion which is an hybrid PoW/PoS natively integrated into the TOR network. The DeepOnion project intends to elaborate a voting system for holders in order to decide future develoments, the community is pretty strong, I don't know if it's as strong as PIVX (which I am definitely going to look into after hearing what you have said). The DeepSend feature is an additional privacy feature which is similar to Verge's Wraith protocol. There are also plans to allow smart contracts on the DeepOnion blockchain which would be something much more private than current Ethereum. I would be glad if you could do a video with DeepOnion, NAV, PHR and few more privacy-oriented cryptos, I don't have time to currently research them all :)
Can all these privacy coins in the market coexist, or do you think one or two are likely to dominate in a VHS-type situation while the rest wither away?
Right now there is so much fragmentation in this market. I think that there will certainly be a VHS/Betamax type of situation playout but it really could boil down to which ones get mass adoption soonest. -Steve
So glad I found you and this channel. Great stuff. Pretty new to this couple months. Could u talk about coinbase and why I can't deposit the amount of $$ I want and the limits are very low. Long wait times for bank account withdrawals. 10 days???? Any alternative. Thanks!!!!!!
I see verge is on a nice dip. i will probably invest finally but I like the privacy coin . I think privacy coins are the future of crypto . so Verge would be a long term hold .
lol, didnt mean it that way, but that based on the fact that one of the investors is MIT, that is very interesting. So you dont see it a winner ? or has big potential in real growth ( not pump and dump ) ?
You lose credibility promoting Verge. It's a shitcoin, dogecoin sent over the Tor network, something that can be done with any coin. Wraith protocol is vapourware.
Hey guys, love your work as always. I thought it might be mentioning two big game ICO's currently running. The first is LOCI which is using the blockchain to leverage an existing intellectual property system called InnVenn. InnVenn basically allows someone with an idea to go online, register that idea, and search a meta-database for other ideas that might already exist and conflict with the patent (which usually takes months to do). As someone who works in the legal industry, this product is a huge game changer. The process to do this via a law firm or other legal avenues is currently extremely costly and time-consuming. InnVenn has a proven product and client base and is leveraging the trustless / decentralised nature of the crypto market to signficantly improve it's product. It also creates a standard currency making global patenting much easier (rather than trying to use hundreds of different fiat currencies, for example). Not to mention the ICO is being run really well, and the CEO, John Wise, is one of the best I've seen in this space. The second is Cypherium, which is an ICO comprising of ex Google, Amazon and Apple developers who are creating a new "scalable" hybrid proof of work / byzantine fault tolerance cryptocurrency. After reading their whitepaper I realised this is as close to "next generation" blockchain technology as I've seen. Cypherium could genuinely be the next sleeping giant and has partnered with some heavy hitters in the crypto academic space (such as Emin Gun Sirer). Both of these ICO's are really good ones to look out for and maybe you'd consider covering either in a video sometime.
Seems like everyone got that memo today. Think about it though: Look how MANY exchanges they are listed on, and how stringent those exchanges are for vetting coins that get added there. They actually HAVE a product (Their coin and their wallet). We can assume that the Wraith Protocol isn't vaporware, and will be out soon. I don't personally know that team, nor am I biased in my opinions aside from holding a position in their coins. FUD is good for lowering the price of something. HYPE/FUD can do wonders or damage to values of any of these coins. -Steve
Hi, please cover B3 coin. - Coins are being converted to Kb3. This is not coin change but 1000B3 will be 1KB3. - Also there is a logo change and they are letting the community design it and the best design gets picked. A Fast Script Algorithm PoS coin which is 12 times faster and 12 times more secure than sha-256 algorithm used by bitcoin's blockchain.
Thanks Gustavo. I keep checking back every once in a while to see if US has become eligible. Been a week or so since I checked. I'll have to keep looking to see if I can get included more there. Hold some of it because I think its a great team and project! -Steve
Altcoin Buzz I feel ya lol I try to be a user to understand more of my investments 👍 Check your DM for a message I sent! I am no spammer, I spend hours doing research and if I come up with something interesting I always try to let you guys know 👍 #AltcoinBuzzJr lol
Yeah, coins without Max Supplies can have some people feeling uneasy. To me, if the team dilutes the market too much they lose value and credibility so not something that would be wise to abuse. But still good to point out. -Steve
+Re3iRtH Yes. Google Monero Max Supply. The articles state that after it reaches its 18.4 million supply, an Emissions feature kicks in indefinitely, to keep making more, for Inflation.
Stephano Well a small amount of planned 'printing' to have a a very low rate of inflation is quite different than being able to multiply the supply at will. A 1-3% inflation is pretty much required for a currency to be successful. A deflationary currency cannot exist as a currency for very long.
A friend of mine bought 10 Monero at $100 each at a whim. I haven't researched monero yet so I only hold 0.5. Do you think Monero is still a buy at $300?
surprised electronium wasnt on this list , Add it has the best usable app and wallet for peer to peer sending right now, Just the mobile mining features not working
I did some research about the mobile mining stuff. I used to believe this ETN is something huge but it turns out to be a copy of Monero with the fake mobile mining as the marketing strategy. I kinda lost my faith in it. Simulated mining is the stupidest thing I've ever heard recently. I will still buy some of it but it seems to be a pump and dump coin. What do you think?
Check put Deep Onion guys... It's only a few bucks right now ($4.21) and a Couple months old, but take a look at the community, it is already HUGE, they just increased 41% today alone, and volume has doubled in a week, 10% staking rewards for another year, FREE air drops to ONION holders every week for another 4 months, so the sooner you buy the better... Amazing. It I doubt it will be this cheap even a month from now.
Very interesting. I have seen comments about DeepOnion all over RUclips. You really bought some for $4.21? I'm so impressed with you. I'm late to the party here, I bought 100 for $14. But still making money as Onions are tarding at $19+ today. I have subbed to your channel in case you ever want to create some content. Cheers!
Not sure this is good advice, have a privacy coin in the portfolio if you want but better investments are in blockchain infrastructure, platforms, cross chain protocols, bridges, things that improve blockchain use. Pushing privacy coins is only valuable of there is no mass adoption. To top it off coins like Wanchain, Dragonchain or Icon will have privacy as an option anyway, just a thought. If you guys believe governments & banks will be okay with privacy coins, go with your belief.
Ace, I like the way you think. If we do have mass mainstream adoption, which coins might you see as possible winners? I do think we will see mainstream adoption, but wonder why VISA for example won't just come up with their own coin.
LOL, I only just heard of it because of the influx of requests. Will look into it but other than spending 5 minutes on their site I couldn't tell you much about it at the moment. - Steve
can you go over top coins in the japanese/asian markets? google gave me an outdated top 5. I'm going through coinmarketcap and looking by exchange to see what is used but I know you'd cover it better than I will. Hope our data matches up. Thank you for all the videos on Christmas too you guys rock
One that is huge in Japan at the moment is Cardano. I live here and they have Cardano and Bitcoin ATM's already in some of the more central city areas. I think Cardano is a coin that's still undervalued and it wouldn't surprise me if it went 3-4 x in 2018. They have an excellent product and more importantly, a team that seems able to properly execute a commercial plan. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.
PIVX is the next DASH...don't miss out!!!
Constantly pumping out quality videos guys thank you!
Matt, thanks for the cheer! :-) . -Steve

Literally reading up on XVG when you post this. Thanks!
Wes, definitely check it out. It's one of my favorite coins, period! -Steve
Trying to secure my position! Waiting for that BTC to hit bittrexx so I can buy. The wait is killing me! Pretty interesting dip happening right now!
Altcoin Buzz is it worth holding #xvg?
Verge 🚀
yes me to.I prefer verge, cloak and COLX
TokenPay + Sumokoin will rule the world in 3 months
VERGE + NAVCoin To the Moon!!
Buy Today or cry tomorrow

Love Verge - Monero is my next pick, although not invested there yet. Tks for sharing, great info/insight
Thanks for the video. There are many reports in the web that XDN is a dead project. I also was not able to find any news at all. Am I wrong?
Happy Birthday, Steve!!
Wow, what an eye opener. Most insightful video of 2017? Typed this way before 6:03 lololol!
Sold verge at 0.25. Put limit order at 0.17. I thought it won't happen since Verge has been popular. It went down to 0.11 today!!! So don't just Hodl. When it's at peak, sell it and buy at the dip. it will dip no matter what.
I've played that hand before with some coins and never was able to get back in on a low.......Ripple, I'm looking at you! -Steve
Verge, VOX, Masari, XLM, and wait for it. The big one for the year will be RCN. Calling it now
Nav. The most undervalued coin. This will increase drastically in price this year
Slow blockchains make 4 of these non-starters for me. However, Verge and PIVX are great projects with lots of potential. I am accumulating Verge on dips and may start on PIVX. Thanks for the insightful vid.

How about LUXcoin (LUX), HUSH (HUSH) and DeepOnion (ONION)?
What are your thoughts on ColossusCoin XT (COLX)?
sleeping giant.
yep bought 3.5 million here. ColossusCoinLambo XT
Good information Steve! Looks like it's the equivalent of giving someone your monthly bank statement.
I'm all in on XVG Verge 🔥
missing DeepOnion. just have a look at that chart mate ;)

I bought some on Cryptopia but they are now also on Kucoin (its bit cheaper for fees)
Thanks so much :)

What are your thoughts on COLX?
Crypto will pay for the rest of my college and all other expenses, 2018 is the year!
Then get in on COLX, they are the next verge do not miss out on huge gains!
NAV might have the most potential out of most of those
DeepOnion seems like an interesting privacy coin. Very low market cap and coin supply.
The ultimate privacy coin for all uses is by far without a doubt, TokenPay (TPay). It will 100X in 2018.

Jumped into XVG today. Took some tiny profit off ADA and put it into XVG.
What about NAV coin ? It is a privacy coin too.
Big sleeper. NAV will explode when they start marketing soon
Hey Steve, yourself and Jeff need to check out NAVcoin. A very active and well-organized/functioning proof of stake privacy coin.
Could u please cover NAV Coin it's a privacy coin !!!
Hey Steve, how do you feel about WAX?
if you are unsure of Verge, look up NAV coin, give it a shot
a coin that is still very undervalued, take your chance before it gets mainstream
Jeff/Steve are you aware of Tokenpay currently in ICO but expected to be the most secure and anonymous coin on the market?
Great vid! Thanks! Hodling on Reddcoin Myriad Coval DigitalNote Artbyte Siacoin and Bitbean... ready for 2018
Hey steve, thoughts on SHIFT? I got one of their Visa cards not so long ago
Steve definitely deserves some love too
Hello, i'm following you since 4k , great JOB!
BTW what do you think of #Storm Coin?
COLX to the moon Jeff!
Mentioned numerous times already, but why isn't NAV included..!?
I see verge is on a nice dip. i will probably invest finally but I like the privacy coin . I think privacy coins are the future of crypto . so Verge would be a long term hold .
why didnt you mention Enigma (ENG), which is comprised of MIT graduates
It wasn't all-encompassing. And a lot of people graduate from MIT each year..... :-P . -Steve
lol, didnt mean it that way, but that based on the fact that one of the investors is MIT, that is very interesting. So you dont see it a winner ? or has big potential in real growth ( not pump and dump ) ?
You lose credibility promoting Verge. It's a shitcoin, dogecoin sent over the Tor network, something that can be done with any coin. Wraith protocol is vapourware.
he didnt lose credibility, as many people still see it credible, if you dont see him credible, you can unsubscribe.
How do i store verge, what wallet do u guys recommend for verge
Buy verge
H Caesar heard it's a scam?
It was a trap. Hold
That was fake news from an employee that was fired. You need to do your own research 👍
-Steve
Anthony Perez its all rumors they cleared it up go to their twitter
Can you look into Xspec? Looks like a great privacy coin that is greatly undervalued at the moment
Seems like Monero is the coin to use if you are very serious about privacy.
Who will be the next Apple, eBay, and Google? Who knows?
Can you do a updated video on SONM as the MVP test net is released . Please , happy holidays :)
Waiting for the updated video on sonm
Hi, please cover B3 coin.
- Coins are being converted to Kb3. This is not coin change but 1000B3 will be 1KB3.
- Also there is a logo change and they are letting the community design it and the best design gets picked.
A Fast Script Algorithm PoS coin which is 12 times faster and 12 times more secure than sha-256 algorithm used by bitcoin's blockchain.
Steve, you didn't talk about the upcoming hard fork of monero with MoneroV. That seems to be the biggest privacy coin of 2018
Bought me some pivx today!
Where is nav
What's your opinion on HMQ?
Steve!
On your TenX app, you choose what coin you want charge on the card 🤓👍
They have the video on their website
Thanks Gustavo. I keep checking back every once in a while to see if US has become eligible. Been a week or so since I checked. I'll have to keep looking to see if I can get included more there. Hold some of it because I think its a great team and project! -Steve
Altcoin Buzz I feel ya lol I try to be a user to understand more of my investments 👍
Check your DM for a message I sent!
I am no spammer, I spend hours doing research and if I come up with something interesting I always try to let you guys know 👍
#AltcoinBuzzJr lol
Steve thanks Happy Holidays
what's the max that verge can go up to?
Sufficiently, that's the word. That it grows sufficiently. :)
Note that XMR (Monero) doesn't have a Maximum Supply. They can Print as much as they want, like a Centralized Currency.
Yeah, coins without Max Supplies can have some people feeling uneasy. To me, if the team dilutes the market too much they lose value and credibility so not something that would be wise to abuse. But still good to point out. -Steve
Stephano Shoot, really .. do you have source for that?
Did anyone hear about ColossusCoinXT coin which is built on top of PIVX?
going directly to the moon
surprised electronium wasnt on this list , Add it has the best usable app and wallet for peer to peer sending right now, Just the mobile mining features not working
I keep checking to see if the mobile miner is up and running. Bummer still. Love me ETN though! Holding out my position like its a powder keg! - Steve
Altcoin Buzz As far is I'm aware mobile mining wont be up untill their IOS app releases , I would expect 1st quarter of 2018
its gonna be huge
I have like 3400 ETN. You think it will bring me/us some serious money? :-)
Also has built in TOR for all connections, Deep Vault, and Deep Send is almost here.
Cheers!
Are you guys still feeling bullish longterm on Gifto, WaBi and SimpleToken?
What of ZCoin? It was at 57 just 2 days ago when got in.
What about Electra coin it’s a privacy coin right?
Best privacy coin in crypto history is DeepOnion. Please keep an eye on this Coin !!!!!!!!
thanks for the good information!
More of an advice to utilize them for what they are intended for. Not to make up your whole portfolio with them. -Steve
you make sense, I appreciate your input thank you
Ace, I like the way you think. If we do have mass mainstream adoption, which coins might you see as possible winners? I do think we will see mainstream adoption, but wonder why VISA for example won't just come up with their own coin.
What about komodo? No mention of it?
Thought on ColossusCoinXT (COLX)
LOL, I only just heard of it because of the influx of requests. Will look into it but other than spending 5 minutes on their site I couldn't tell you much about it at the moment. - Steve
can you go over top coins in the japanese/asian markets? google gave me an outdated top 5. I'm going through coinmarketcap and looking by exchange to see what is used but I know you'd cover it better than I will. Hope our data matches up. Thank you for all the videos on Christmas too you guys rock
that article you brought up in the news portion today really got me interested on zoning in on those markets
HGT, AST, MTL, NEO
One that is huge in Japan at the moment is Cardano. I live here and they have Cardano and Bitcoin ATM's already in some of the more central city areas. I think Cardano is a coin that's still undervalued and it wouldn't surprise me if it went 3-4 x in 2018. They have an excellent product and more importantly, a team that seems able to properly execute a commercial plan. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.
R Wakeford this is exactly the info that I'm looking for, badass man. Now I'm going to look into taking another poistion because that is important
can you give a feedback on OTN token
ELECTRONEUM Best Privacy coin out there, Adopts Monero blockchain and is aimed for the masses!!
You forgot NAV coin: solid project with HUGE potention! 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
To many hype coins. No NAV. :(
do you think john mcaffe will negatively impact this coin ?
due to people thinking he is being payed off to promote bs coins
Jonas Jackson don’t think McAfee can be forced to say or do anything, even for money. He’s a maverick and loose cannon rolled into one.
That's a good point. People could have lashed back. I'm still holding the faith on Verge. Long Term here! - Steve
No...
