It is very very VERY well stated that only Makoto and Kyoko ever bothered to check the bodies, and Makoto took the habit because Kyoko always told him to be through. The rest were either too dumb, too scared, or too proud to touch them. Togami especially,for all his smart attitude always had an issue with checking dead bodies and only depended on the small chunk of information on the body contained in the Monokuma FIle. Makoto does notice the nails which is part of the crux of his argument when they re-do the trial.

This section of Chapter 5 along with the entirety of Chapter 6 was actually very interesting to slowly uncover. No one would have anticipated that Mukuro Ikusaba was replacing Junko Enoshima in Chapter 1, nor that the true form of Junko herself would actually be hidden until Chapter 6. I'd say that plot twist is greater than Saw's, but that's just my outlook.

I don't even know what to say about this chapter. Shit's. Getting. REAL. The Class Trial ends and we STILL don't know the killer's identity. Makoto almost gets executed, saved only by Plot Armor. And Kyoko reveals why she nearly allowed it to happen: she had to stay alive at all costs, to uncover the horrible truth of the school, her father, and Ultimate Despair. Imagine if said Plot Armor failed: that would've gotten DARK. The guilt, the angst... "I let him die. He tried to save me and I let him die." ...And yet, I STILL don't know what that bizarre chapter name's supposed to mean. This chapter had everything BUT junk food and 100 mile runs. On another note, why the removed execution? RUclips would remove it because... why? Maybe that's been asked already, but I don't wanna look in the comments for fear of seeing some asshat spoiling the last chapter or something.

If Makoto were to bring that up during a trial as a rebuttal against her argument, Monokuma would've found out that Kyoko had got into the Headmaster's Room and stolen the key. Which would've went badly for her and possibly Makoto, who knew about the key's existence.

If you don't choose "Let it go" then you get the Bad Ending: A different argument happens and when time runs out it's Kyoko that's chosen. Monokuma says we chose right, executes Kyoko with the same press (except AE doesn't show up so she dies) and the rest leave while Makoto realizes too late. Pretty interesting for him to do this up to now...
Imagine Makoto died actually, and either came back somehow like alter ego, or we just play like, an actual other good character (Kyoko, Aoi, or Byakuya)

But Kyoko and Makoto knew it was a trap of the *mastermind*. To avoid the others knew the truth too, he had to appeal to create a new rule. Makoto is punished. But Kyoko save him. OBS: According to Dangan Ronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, the *mastermind* can only creates new rules, but not delete or disobeys them.

But Kyoko said herself that she found a key that can open any lock in Hope's Point. That includes getting into her own room.
Nobody but Makoto knew about the Master's Key. If Makoto were to bring that up during a trial as a rebuttal against her argument, Monokuma would've found out that Kyoko had got into the Headmaster's Room and stolen the key. Which would've went badly for her and possibly Makoto, who knew about the key's existence.
Actually, you Can mention that in the trial. But if you do, you get the bad ending where kirigiri dies and the game ends, forcing you to replay the chapter to unlock the true ending

Honestly, this whole trial was dumb. Why would makoto just kill a random student that they didn't even know about when he's literally solved all the trials up until that point? No one even thought to consider that they were being tricked either and didn't even greet him after alter ego saved him 😒
The possibility that the trial was rigged was brought up multiple times, but was shut down by monokuma every time. they were working with what they had

I love the fact that the remaining ones who survive are those 6 out, yet wish Chihiro was among them. Also, I thought at the first that the game will end up with only Makoto staying alive, having a group better than one. Those 6 has become more close to each other at this point

Anyone else noticed that Monokuma just flat out lied to everyone about the culprit? If you don't choose "Let it go" then you get the Bad Ending: A different argument happens and when time runs out it's Kyoko that's chosen. Monokuma says we chose right, executes Kyoko with the same press (except AE doesn't show up so she dies) and the rest leave while Makoto realizes too late.
Pretty interesting for him to do this up to now...
