Spend big money on a GREAT kicker. You`re actually buying dozens of points. Makes a HUGE difference. How could the coaching staff not see this? Great kicker = more points per game.
Asked the same before the season. Looks like a good kicker is around 100 grand far less than any other skill position and so many times is the difference in a game as we just whitnessed... seems like a no brainer. Havent had a great kicker since Nugent..
They had a chance to pick up the best kicker from last season who was in the portal transitioning from Miami U of Ohio. He was an Ohio kid wanted to play at Ohio State. If they had him they would have been undefeated for today.
Like before the Tennessee game, I said we need to THROW, so we can RUN. We did, and it worked well, I know Oregon’s a different game, but it still hold’s true, and plays to our strength. Nobody can stop J J Smith, and we would be stupid not to utilize that, along with Egbuka, Tate, and some TE action, as well as using Trey and Judkins out of the backfield. Take advantage of our talent.
All that needs to happen is the Silver Bullets need to show up. That's the difference I was hoping for the first time they played, but alas, Gabriel is a 6th year senior and has seen a lot. D-line didn't get any pressure on him or were able to contain him. He ran around on them like they weren't even there. If Oregon can replicate that, they will have a chance. The Oregon defense should not be able to stop the Buckeye offense after the confidence they gained after this Tenn game. Remember, Ohio State & Ryan Day doesn't have a kicker or kicking game to rely on. Why they can recruit all these high caliber players but not kickers is another convo, but it is a reality OSU fans must accept. They have to win without relying on last second fieldgoals. That means they must start strong again. Keep the momentum from the VOLS game. Go BUCKS!
I love how all the haters are saying Tennessee isn’t even that good of a team😂 in Tennessee didn’t belong in the playoffs😂 but before the game, Tennessee was a top two team in the SEC best defense in the country😂 no Ohio State is really just that good. Let’s go buckeyes.
That's exactly what people do everytime we beat a good team, is well they were never that good to begin with but yet whenever we lose to a good team or before we play a good team everybody says Ohio State is overrated and they're getting ready for a beat down. It's just whatever fits they're narrative.
So looking forward to the Rose Bowl. Dan Lanning is having to prepare for a different defense and offense than back in October. Nico is a big physically imposing QB and he absorbed a great deal of punishment Saturday night and Dillon Gabriel is a good talented QB but can he take those hits? He is physically much smaller and is going to get often and very hard.
Dillion Gabriel also isn't a complete twig either like Nico is, he actually has some meat on his bones especially his lower body in his legs, he's built stronger at his base which is important on keeping him standing on those hits you can shake off as a QB kind of like what Justin Fields did here in 2019-20.
I want roast duck at my 2025 Rose Bowl tailgater. Pluck the Ducks, Bucks! Let us de-bill and de-feather Oregon. Please let our play and execution on offense, defense, and special teams wipe the smirk off Coach Dan Lanning’s face. Let there be no trick play or rule he can bend to win in addition to a bad OPI call on JJ and the zebras stealing our one second for the GW field goal when Will Howard slid.
I don’t think there’s any benefit watching the Boise State game or any game earlier because they are a different team just like Ohio Ohio State is a much different team except we’re playing our best ball right now
Yep, before the game Tennessee is one of the best teams in the SEC one of the best defenses in the country after the game oh Tennessee didn’t even belong. They weren’t that good they were outmatched bullshit. Ohio State beat a very good team convincingly go buckeyes❤
Woody used to say, nothing cleanses the soul like a azz whoppin and mich definitly got there attn. Playing a team you lost to as well has to be a focal point as well. The Offense played well the first time and I think the D has really evolved. One thing I like as well for the Bucks is I'm sure Oregon watched the mich game and laughed..and to then see what they did vs Tennessee had to be a bit of a shocker for them. I like our chances on a nuetral field, as long as it doesn't come down to a field goal outside of 25 yards..😂
Call me a boomer or whatever, but I`m just an old-fashioned Buckeye fan: I love and support my BUCKEYES 24/7 - 365 days per year, no matter what!

Slot JJ will get us a chip..
Seems a bit screwed up that either team that wins the Rose bowl will potentially have to play Texas in Texas...talk about a home field advantage..
Find us a reliable kicker, they are worth their weight in gold
Late tonight. But watching. Thanks Kirk & Nevada

He is a lot faster and more elusive also.

Ohio State hasn't given up a passing TD since that game. Let that sink in for a moment
GO BUCKS! THANKS KIRK & NEVADA! -watching from San Antone.
The ball bounced off of Lorenzo Style jr NOT Caleb Down on the Onside kick Kirk Buddy 😢
Didn't the onside kick bounce off CJ Hicks?
for some reason, I was thinking it was Caleb Downs, but the number was 48…
It was Hicks
@r.searcy5627 it was Hicks in the #48 because Innis was the KR and he also wears #11, CJs normal number
Yezzir! Let’s go!
Any news on the NOA response from TCUN ?

How can the kicker be 7/8 on field goals and shank 2 vs Michigan?
Hes missed 3 straight field goals.
Thats concerning
