OVA is better than Magical Project S, too repetitive and I don't get it part of the time. The Tenchi Muyo! OVAs, Tenchi Universe and Tenchi in Tokyo are far better.

Misao becomes Sasami's enemy Pixy Misa and neither of them are aware of the change. As far as I know, this show was never realeased in America. I could be wrong on that part though.
You are indeed incorrect. Both the OAV and the television series were released in the US. There were only 3 episodes for the OAV, while the TV series was titled Magical Project S and went for a full 26 episodes. Some 10-15 years later AIC made a new spin-off version Sasami: Magical Girls Club, which had 2 full seasons.

Well, Sasami's character design is from the 90's, while Miku wasn't released until 2007, so it's really the other way around. Miku looks like her.
