      Unfortunately, this is why Trump is going to lose. Moderate Republicans are the largest disenfranchised voters and they will stay home. Don't leave it to theory though; look at 2020, 2022, and 2023 General Elections; Republicans stayed home.

      On May 26, the Senate passed the bill by a 77-19 vote (Democrats 47-16, Republicans 30-2); only senators representing Southern states voted against it. That means 16 Democrats voted against it

    The "if you don't vote, you can't complain about the outcome" comment at the end totally ignores the viewpoint of the first guy featured in the segment. That point being that if *no one* is worth voting for. And he should be free to complain about that, both now and after the election is over. If a candidate wants your vote, they need to earn it, not expect to get it by default.

They actually gain power because if you leverage your vote and sit it out they’re going to want to do something to get your vote back specifically young people as a group.       That is not accurate to think that politicians are sitting around thinking about how to get those voters back. When voters make themselves implacable or fail to show up to vote, they are sending a very specific message that is interpreted as “these voters aren’t reliable nor easily getable, let’s look elsewhere” hence why many polls only focus on likely voters.

    What is the cost of NOT voting and how will that help you? What platform supports your lifestyle and family? A president doesn't pass laws, it's congress. Are you looking for corporations to pay less taxes, they are looking to pay 15% or raise it to pay an equitable amount? Do you want to pay less in gas then that means drilling more oil and gas ? Put together list compare which party best checks those boxes and vote for that party. Cost of housing, why are private developers building less housing NOW than 10 years ago? Government doesn't build housing. Remember one party needs 218 and 60 senate votes to pass laws to pass your agenda

    If the younger generation had a better education in history, particularly 20th-century history, picking a candidate in this election would be a no-brainer. The GOP has dug itself into such a deep hole over the last 7-8 years and they just keep digging. My former party is unsavable at this point, and it will take at least a generation to overcome. Quite possibly two generations.

    I'd rather confused, young people who vote on a whim not vote at all if they don't know who they're voting for. I didn't even know what politics truly was until my mid 20's & Obama was in office. I didn't vote until Trump ran. That's when I felt fully comfortable with it.

      Trump wants to put more tariffs on everything. That would increase inflation. He wants to give more tax cuts to himself and his corporate donors.     Don’t be selfish with your vote! Don’t sit at home when you can help someone besides yourself. I hated Hillary, but I went out and tried to get her elected anyway. A lot of my “principled “ friends felt different and threw their votes away and they allowed the orange oligarch stack the supreme court.     News anchor at the end says ‘voting is a privilege’ but it’s a privilege into a very DATED 2 party democratic system.

      You must not buy your own groceries or put gas in your car. As under Biden these prices has skyrocketed due to his high energy prices and printing money and over spending which has devalued the dollars. Plus Biden uses taxpayer money to fund wars and pay for housing snd feeding illegals from his open border. Biden is America last while trump puts America first.

      @@keys1420 That's called inflation caused by Federal Reserve policy, which takes 12-24 months to be realized.
      This was done under the Trump Administration. People that blame Biden for the inflation have no understanding of the fundamentals within the Federal Reserve, Treasury, or debt obligations. Virtually 3/4 of this was caused by Jerome Powell setting the rates to 0.25% and the PPP loans under Trump and Congress.

    It's not that it feels harder, the data PROVES it has become harder. Accounting for inflation and wage growth, houses are 55% more expensive than they were for boomers. And it places like where I live (San Francisco), it's far worse than that because property taxes are based off of your purchase price. So many homes today have $50,000 to $80,000 per year of property taxes... Even when we retire in 40 years. While my landlord bought the 3 million house we are in for a few thousand dollars and barely pays any property taxes.

The Hill reported one of their spokespersons saying that they intend to earn every vote. They've not earned mine. Uncommitted voters issued a warning to the Democratic establishment during the primaries, but they would not listen. No doubt, if Biden does lose, they'll blame voters instead of their gen*cidal selves.

    People want the young ones to vote only when they're voting for the same candidate as the one who's encouraging them to vote.
    As a young person myself, it's my right to vote for whoever I think and feel is going to make change where I see fit, but it's also my right to abstain my vote if there is no such candidate, and nor do I need to explain myself to anyone.
    You can't fault people for not wanting to vote when they don't see themselves in either presidential candidate. I like Trump over Biden, but I'm not going to encourage people to vote for who I think they should, and there's too many Republicans and Democrats trying to do that already.
    If you want people to vote, then give them more suitable, and diverse candidates, of all different American backgrounds, so that people may actually see themselves in the politicians who "represent" the interests of ALL Americans, but in order to have that, we need more people who are willing to run for office and not just argue amongst each other on social media.

    I would encourage everyone to vote for someone that really represents you regardless the chance of winning, instead of voting for someone you hate less just to prevent someone else you hate more from winning.This is the best way to practice democracy, and it’s best for the country in the long run. If a party loses, it’s because it refuses to listen. Then this party needs to lose in order to learn its lesson.

      @@brandonneumann5294 We all want universal healthcare. The government does all kinds of things besides that though. Regulations, infrastructure, social services, and many many more.
      A large reason why it's difficult to get things done is because the federal judiciary is broken, and that's because nobody bothered to VOTE in smaller elections.
      Not letting your voice heard is not a strong position to put yourself in. It makes you the less reliable person that nobody takes into mind when crafting their plans.

    If you don't have the will or the time to follow all the political back-and-forth arguments, you just need to ask yourself a very simple question: Am I better off today than I was during Trump's term from 2017-2020? You can expand on it too. Is the country better off now than it was during Trump's term? If you think the country is heading in the right direction, then "stay the course". If no, then it's time for a course correction instead of staying on this path.

It’s one of the smartest things you can do. Leverage your vote to get what you want. If you keep voting for them over and over that sends a message that they don’t have to do anything to get you’re vote

Those are the politicians that are in direct proximity to the change that everyday people can feel. This year’s presidential election is not about Joe Biden, it’s about the Supreme Court. If trump is elected, we’ve seen the implications of his presidency. I now have to take my daughter to another state to have an abortion now.
