“Voters under 30 who we’re calling young” gee thanks
right? i scoffed at that! thanks for making me old at 35 CBS!
30s use to be middle age getting old but now it's more like 50s thanks to medicines and other advancements we arw fasr from getting there
Make Election Day a federal holiday 🤷🏼♂️
It won't change much being young voters are not as much working federal as they are private jobs.
If you don't bring a stamp from the poll you don't get your PTO on your check. 😂
How will Israel get its tax money with another holiday?

President Kennedy said it best; ' It's not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country'.
No one has that sediment towards America anymore 😢
President Kennedy was a real Democrat, not an Anti American Democrat like we have today.

And til when will they do something for all of us? That's an excuse for them to not do their jobs

If you don't vote on election day, you forfeit the right to complain about the country's condition later. #VoteforSomething
Yeah ok
I agree
Sitting the election out sends the message that you DON’T want your voice to be heard. You don’t care and therefore I shouldn’t hear you complaining either.
@myrmidon1100 Well if these folks can’t show up to vote for the representatives, they are definitely not coming out to vote for individual issues. More things to vote for isn’t a good solution for people who aren’t voting now.
@heyheyhey40 Dang
Sitting the election out is also voting.
@@olukoredefakorede1422 It's literally not. There are the two main candidates, third party, and write-in options. Also, voting in primaries is important.

Unfortunately, this is why Trump is going to lose. Moderate Republicans are the largest disenfranchised voters and they will stay home. Don't leave it to theory though; look at 2020, 2022, and 2023 General Elections; Republicans stayed home.

On May 26, the Senate passed the bill by a 77-19 vote (Democrats 47-16, Republicans 30-2); only senators representing Southern states voted against it. That means 16 Democrats voted against it

That's cause you have common sense. Regardless of age the guys just not competent
The peaceful exchange of power is paramount. It affects everyone
The "if you don't vote, you can't complain about the outcome" comment at the end totally ignores the viewpoint of the first guy featured in the segment. That point being that if *no one* is worth voting for. And he should be free to complain about that, both now and after the election is over. If a candidate wants your vote, they need to earn it, not expect to get it by default.
So if younger voters sit it out, they lose their power. I don’t like either candidate but one is going to win. Better to vote for the one that more closely aligns with my priorities than not
@@steveguillory7568 like you said one is going to win either way so I why would I take time out of my day when you don’t give me something to vote for? They actually gain power because if you leverage your vote and sit it out they’re going to want to do something to get your vote back specifically young people as a group. Voting for them over and over sends a message they don’t need to do anything to get your vote.
That is not accurate to think that politicians are sitting around thinking about how to get those voters back. When voters make themselves implacable or fail to show up to vote, they are sending a very specific message that is interpreted as “these voters aren’t reliable nor easily getable, let’s look elsewhere” hence why many polls only focus on likely voters.
@@brandonneumann5294 because politicians only care about two things…getting elected and staying in office. If you don’t vote, they can care less about your issues since you are not helping them achieve either objective. The reason why political agendas often favor older generations is because they vote. @@steveguillory7568 it actually does. Not one specific person but as a group if say black people for one election sat out and that was the reason the democrats lost. It is a right, under certain parameters, within our system of government. It is not, however, a right inherent to personhood, in general.

What is the cost of NOT voting and how will that help you? What platform supports your lifestyle and family? A president doesn't pass laws, it's congress. It's not that it feels harder, the data PROVES it has become harder. Accounting for inflation and wage growth, houses are 55% more expensive than they were for boomers.
