Strategic approach = Spend cash like there is no tomorrow. A 2% probability means 50 tries to max out one red pattern on average. There are 9 patterns on your 3 flags in total, meaning 9x50=450 tries at an average success rate. This requires 450 x 3,750 golden threads = 1,687,500 golden threads if you are neither lucky nor unlucky. In the most recent event, 500 golden threads were USD 18 (smallest package), putting the price of this exercise at USD 60,750.- Not too bad if you compare that to the price of a used jet air fighter. Otherwise, it's a tad expensive.
i expect in long run golden threads to be more easy accessible than it is now, there no logic with 2% odds f success to spend that much. thats why i suggest to not rush on upgrading them for now. 30% upgrade somehow for those who have golden threads it is not bad odd. so for those wh want to spend can upgrade one time to hit of success per pattern, than just wait for inflation
With my luck I would be in for the 60 grand on one flag and still fail to get it to max.
Thats not how stats work... there is no guarantee you will succeed in 50 attempts. The probability of failure for 50 attempts is 0.98^50 = 0.36 [36%]. For a 99% chance of success you need to attempt approx. 230 times.
@@milktobo7418 Thanks for pointing that out. I tried to cover that by saying "neither lucky nor unlucky" and stuff like that, but putting it into numbers is arguably more straightforward and precise. However, I stand by my comment, that trying to max out all 9 patterns can set you back quite a bit financially.
Can i ask you all an important question: Why do you all care so much about patterns in the first place? I made some max testing a while back with some very good teams on defense adding war flags with maxed red patterns to increase these teams fighting capabilities. Then i attacked them with good maxed counterteams with completely empty war flags. Guess what happened? The offensive teams won every single time with empty war flags without patterns. So why should players care so much about those at all if the end result is the same. Use the right heroes in the correct teams with a decent amount of strenght and the defensive team even with maxed patterns can't do anything to prevent loosing. As it should be. Leveling up the pets as well as the correct heroes seems more important to me then hunting after an overexpensive feature that won't even change lots of battles once you leveled up the right heros.

Till the times come when Golden Threads are plentiful , cheap and readily available I will just stop at covering all 3 flags with red patterns. For Cow mostly as it makes most difference there, especially in "buffed" buildings. Overwise, One have better chance of surviving Russian roulette than getting red+ pattern upgrade. Thanks Zeus for doing it so we do not have to . I did manage to waste 7 K thread
though trying to get lucky lol

Oh man, I'm the lucky guy here. I tried increasing a Red Flag for the first time and jumped to 12% on physical attack. But I was only able to do that because my guild won the PVP weekly event and we got 3000 Golden Thread.

but there is a catch... by unraveling red+ patterns you get more threads then you have invested in... so the best way (once you have achieved red ranks for all flag's patterns) is to save patterns in your bag and then try to achieve the rank you wish (ultimate one) alongside implemented flag patterns... so if you have 32 magical attack patterns in your bag and you create red pattern from that and then you spend additional 3750 to upgrade it to random red rank - and you get red +4 (13% MA)... then you don't go for more and spend additional 3750 - you start saving another 32 patterns in your bag and you unravel that 13% pattern you you'll get 144% golden thread that you have invested in... Hero Wars Deda has a great video about it.

I only have the blue flag. how do i acquire the other flags?
Flags you can find in map. junee map had the flag in first three steps. you may want to check your inventory maybe you have them

if you exchange tone of titan souls tones for gold it is achievable. we are in game for more than 5 years

@@SSArt98 difference is that some players have nonpatiente to collect titan shperes and from there to get all titan soul stones. They open titan souls tone with emeralds than for next years they just collect those shperes and exhange for gold
