As we all know, she won in 1984 at Bagong Kampeon, and got a record deal (1 single) released in 1985 with her Pen name Chona.
(I have a video of Hers stating such)
In 1986, Under her new Screen name "Regine" (her real name Regina) started "re-introducing" the song again, of course as Regine.
