Exceptional as always, but you've really outdone yourself with this one! I'm impressed at how well you captured the otherworldly feel of Dinorwic, and also how you didn't show how knackered we were from climbing Elidir Fawr 😂
Thanks so much Tom and a massive cheers again for making it possible. Really was otherworldly up there. And yeah the camera never quite shows the hardship involved 😂
Nice one! Getting to see a place you wanted to for so long. I always think that if the place looks great on a video, it always looks even better actually being there, so great work in capturing that on film. Also I guess its great having some companions that know the place and can act as a guide around the more perilous bits :) Well done 👍 it's well edited and worth the wait.
Thanks Austin. Yeah that’s 100% true, especially with here. A really exhilarating place to go and the views are insane. Glad you liked the edit means a lot :)
Such an amazing place, it must be riddled with old shafts and adits and probably very unstable in places ! Its incredible to think that many men worked in these awful conditions and probably quite a few sadly died as a result. I can't get over the immense size of the place, great video Liam as always, many thanks for making this video. 😊
Great film, spectacular views. I'm so curious now about all those buildings made from slate slabs, still surviving, with the tunnels cut through the hillside. That was a real trek! Thanks!
@@BeyondthePoint The amazing skills to cut all the slabs to size and then actually build those structures. It really deserves recording and documentation, you've done a great job here.
I am heading to it, is there free parking? Do you have to pay to go into it? How far does it take to walk up to the main area at the 7:56 markl? Thank you
I went here last year and if you walk through there is a big gate with an underground tunnel, you cant get in, I shouted yaki dah, and omg! A massive snarl came straight back at us!,no explanation, nobody can walk inside as its locked. Absolutely petrified us! Swear to god it sounded demonic!! Just gutted I never had my phone on. Seriously scared us to death, definitely something did not wNt us there.
So sad and beautiful. I was told that the building on Snowdon is not made of Welsh slate, but it's from China. Welsh slate is the best in the world. Great video.
Fab footage as always thanks for sharing
A great watch well done you got my interest in the quarry, I will be visiting in the not to distant future

Beautiful views, another great video chap’s 👏
Thanks :)
Great film, spectacular views. I'm so curious now about all those buildings made from slate slabs, still surviving, with the tunnels cut through the hillside. That was a real trek! Thanks!
Thanks Dot! It’s quite amazing all those structures are made from piled up slate alone, no mortar or anything.

Nice Job Fellas!
Well done guys! Great video.
Cheers!
Definitely going to try and visit sometime this year. The views are amazing 🤩
Go for it, a definite gem of the UK
The route from your 'furthest exploration point' on the path to the gate, showed me a 'new' route in: some are marked, other not?
Wow this place looks insane! Thanks for sharing
Thanks!
@@BeyondthePoint no problem
Used to live right near it, in Deiniolen. My dad helped build the Dinorwic Hydro station.
Ah very interesting. It’s good to see it’s had another life
Do you have climb over a fence to get in the main part or just through a gate?
I can’t really remember but it’s kind of like an unofficial park so all very straightforward
Great video guys, I enjoyed this 😉😊
Thanks 😎
I've mountain biked down those trails many times. Fascinating place, although the slate isn't kind to tyres!
I bet that’s a challenge!

Just park on the nearest road it’s more or less a big open park :)
@@BeyondthePoint no patrols of security or pay to get in? Free to wander?
If you drive up, there is space for about 4 cars, the roads are very narrow
