    Great video. Lots of detail that I appreciate. My suzuki has a lot of hesitation and I had an idea that a bike carburetor would be the answer! Thanks!

    Erinson so I finally received all the parts to complete the carb swap. It took a little doing to get the radiator hose to fit. But I got it. I haven’t hooked up the choke yet but like you I live in Florida so I’m not worried about it. So everything is in and this was the first time I didn’t have to pump the gas to get it started. Right now I’m in the process of checking timing and trying to dial in the carb. But I was very successful at your carb swap. It started right up and I did swap out both jets like you recommended. My mini is a Diahatsu Hijet 1986 EB60 550cc motor.

    Why did you jet the fuel line before the carb? Was it running too rich before? I have a similar issue.

    • @BananaBabys
      @BananaBabys 4 месяца назад

      My guess would be that normally the motorcycle carb is gravity fed into the bowl and then it uses fuel from the bowl to feed the jets, passively. Since he can’t gravity feed it, it only needs enough speed to fill the bowl and keep it full enough for whatever driving conditions. The float stopper presses to stop the flow so you don’t want a crazy amount of pressure and like he says in the video, it was overflowing with the pump. Maybe could use a super weak fuel pump?
