Our urban soldiers who man our tactical vehicles are SWAT trained to ensure positive resolution for you, your business and your loved ones.
We have a company appointed individual who is responsible for use of all weapons. He is competent with all weapons registered on the company’s name.
All tactical team members are PSIRA registered and have a clear criminal record.
To obtain a firearm licence, the company process includes a SAPS safe inspection to ensure adequate measures have been put in place by means of safe storage
Officers must have completed their armed response self-study course and Business Competency weapon training, and have it registered with Psira.
Phangela provides briefing once a year on what the guards’ specific duties are while in position of a company firearm.
An accredited valid regulation 21 shoot certificate goes alongside weekly shooting training. The Regulation acts as a refresher course for the officers and is legislated as per the firearms control act.
When signing out weapons, the company appoints a team leader who is responsible for signing out of all weapons.
Strict protocol is in place when handing a firearm back. The magazine must be removed, and officer must use the bullet trap attached to the wall. All rounds must be accounted for.
Shooting training consists of various real-life scenarios at open air Shooting ranges. Training scores are recorded and if any officer is under the Phangela SWAT standard, they will undergo the exercise again.
