Box Board

A project revolving around the expansion of past ideas. Box Board attempts to the answer the question: where could Tom Blake's surfboard design have gone? Donald Brink and Dane Gudauskas remake Blake's “Kook Box”, bringing evolving design aspects to the 14 foot 3 inch hollow surfboard, while still focusing on the hand built craft from generations past.

I built a 12’ hollow rail board. The 50/50 hollow rails were challenging but are delicious to look at.
