Today is my birthday and watching this opening was like getting presents myself. 😊 My favorites from this are Hedwig and Rose, because this is probably the only time they'll release her. She definitely deserves the top spot.

Probably Friends' best gift in a few years! 5 points - Disney. Sven in this form is adorable! Popular character, will go down very well with the kids opening today's door. 4 points - Harry Potter. Hedwig's nice but extremely common. Presents are done nicely but will be seen elsewhere. 3 points - City. A bit mundane, but being a nearly brand new element really helps push this up the table. 2 points - Star Wars. Generic ship. 1 point - Marvel. Not even going to justify that score. If I could give it minus points, I would. Festive Bonus Point - Friends. A little bit of competition today, but that torso is very, very good. Scores - City 55, Disney 49, Harry Potter 45, Star Wars 42, Friends 38, Marvel 35.

I opened my City calender this morning, and the first thing I thought was "he's going to absolutely trash this and give it one point", but I'm pleasantly surprised at your nuanced review (although second to last place is certainly deserved). The Spider-Man cane is ridiculous, LEGO has done plenty of these candy canes in other calendars and they never looked this terrible.

Very cute gift from Potter though the color is a bit drab. Rose is really nice in the Christmas cardigan. I'm equally concerned about what is supposed to be plugged into Svens holes and disappointed in the stroller but not surprised. I like baby riding Sven better. Put one of the Heartlake critters in the stroller! That Palpatine shuttle is giving me Darthritis too! Who designed that candy cane. Oof, not good! Agreed on your judging today! I like the design of these micro spaceships (most of them), but they don't really fit in the Christmas theme. The pieces aren't interesting, nothing festive, not even the colour scheme...

It is a first year at hogwarts so there is not a lot of new things this year. The whole thing has been predictable and sad. I’m not sure why we are in first place. I think the rest have been pretty bad. I think those are going to get better soon. I doubt HP will stay in frost place for very long.
