Yeah, I haven’t been to Carbondale in almost 30 years and I can tell you I can barely recognize it on this video and I knew that place like the back and front of my hand
Unfortunately many of the places in Carbondale that you remember are probably gone. The trend is to remove buildings rather than build new ones. The biggest changes are that some of the buildings on Main street are now gone: Wallaces Furniture and the drug store that was on that same corner (I forget the name). Plus the Saint Rose High School building or CYC is gone. It's a parking lot now but there are rumours that something new will come there. No one seems to know what it will be though.
Loved all the photos - I think I caught a glimpse of the old Zazzera's a few times :)
You did. After Zazzera's it became a pharmacy. Unfortunately the pharmacy closed last month.
Hows Carbondale after the storms last night?
I don’t know. I’m not there at the moment.
Lots of the churches in Carbondale, PA look like those in Carbondale, IL
Hi Mary. Yeah I noticed that with schools too.

I has changed a lot. Many of the buildings on Main Street are gone or empty.
I'm from Carbondale. I hardly recognize any of this. It's been too long I guess

My parents were married in the Presbyterian church in '61, and my Uncle & Aunt in '66.
