Steam Deck now has 256GB/512GB/1TB for it's 3 tiers, and a 7.4" OLED HDR Display. Replacing the old line-up for the same price points. Available in a few days (Nov 16 2023). Also 30-50% battery life increase now and a bunch of other improvements. Good time to be in this market.
That announcment was made right after we finalized this video! It’s moving so rapidly, going to already need an update to this soon. Definitely an exciting space!
I just got my Logitech G cloud and so far I'm impressed with it my internet where I go is pretty damn good and I have had no problems with lagging or anything like that I mainly got it because I wanted it for work and when I'm at home sometimes I don't want to play the Xbox and just want to lay on the couch playing this handheld device
4:06 i have a lenovo gaming ideapad and the battery life got short over a year later as they usually do so my expectation of thelenovo gaming portable is of low hopes for the battery
nice video, good information for all those hand helds, valve created steam deck with the animation of consumers being able to customize the product its self. idk about the legion go
Can you play Xbox and PS games on the Steamdeck? I dont have a PC i only play Xbox and PS5. I want to get the G Cloud but kinda changing my mind after learning its Cloud gaming.
@@Droneia I have a g cloud and it does everything I could possibly want it to. Cloud gaming is great, streaming is great, plays pretty much every ps2 and gamecube game I've tried well to very well. Has Steam on it as well, I've had no complaints, I just bought a retroid pocket 4 pro so I could have a smaller form factor device as well
I just took a closer look at this - agree looks like a great handheld with top specs and reasonable pricepoint. We'll definitely make an updated video soon to look at additional models, and will probably include the OneXPlayer. Thanks for the suggestion!
Technically a PS Vita by itself won't do as much as any of the systems on here. However with jailbreaking a Vita is most definitely a GREAT deal. With the library of the PSX, PSP, and PS Vita it has a great value both price wise and functionality wise.
The PS Vita is a little bit dated compared to these newer, more powerful devices. Although it’s still got some great games and is a fun system! We appreciate it, thanks for your support!
I am a huge fan of the G Cloud. Also I have steam deck to compare to. Given that you already have computer at home, G Cloud gives you better experience while gaming, and also costing you lesser given sales and cheap cost for used device. It''s gotten bad hand with bad marketing and high starting price. Also cloud gaming is not here yet - that's every reviewer said. While it is true, local streaming is almost undistinguishable from native gaming. So in the end you'll get amazing parametrs for the handheld (fullhd vibrant screen, 2\3 of the weight and 12 hour battery), yet way cheaper than competitives (I've got mine for 180 usd). Sad that this is very unpopular option, but I see that local streaming is very nieche way to play your games...
My question is- which console is best to play the games you want on the go without a having a PC around? Or do you have to have an actual PC around to play particular games on these?
@@shineymcshine5026 "which console is best to play the games you want on the go without a having a PC around" - there are a few good choices, but definitely not G Cloud. When you go outside with G Cloud, it transforms into a retro\android game console, and not even the best at that. For gaming on the go outside of your home, either the Steam Deck OLED or the Nintendo Switch OLED (or you can wait a year for newer options). As for the second question: I use PC mostly for work. I don't like to play on it afterfard, so if I want to play, I pick up G Cloud instead and stream games there. It used strictly for local WiFi streaming (and some retro games). Works very well via Moonlight App. In that case it's better in many aspects than the Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch. It's cheaper too.
Even when I had Steam Deck before G Cloud, I played Steam deck at home about 95% of the time. It is just too bulky to carry around and it has a weak battery. For me the only time justified to bring Steam Deck\Nintendo Switch outside of home was for travel or vacation. If you work in an office, you could try to use it there, but it's hard to use during the commute, and at work it could be kinda rude to play games, especially on such a big console. If you don't have PC, the Steam Deck is an awesome choice. Steam itself is such a nice platform to play games, SteamOS works well, and also you can connect the Steam Deck to TV or a monitor
1. Nintendo Switch 2. Steam deck 3. rog ally 4. retroid pocket 3 5. Logitech G Cloud Note i only own nintendo switch and the others i rated from what i heard from videos and few friends who own a couple of these. Though one thing about switch, rog ally, and logitech g cloud, least you can purchase these in the store and if do not like it.
Personally I don't consider the Deck, ROG Ally and its like "consoles" since they're just PCs in your pocket without their own dedicated games like you see with actual consoles like "PS Vita Edition" or "Xbox 360 Edition. They're great nonetheless less, but I'd be hard pressed to call them consoles, or anything other than portable PCs, more akin to laptops.
I had a steam deck it’s nice I like it but not as much as my Nintendo Switch Oled I love my Nintendo Switch I love Nintendo games more than Pc 😊 I sold my steam deck to my big brother I don’t have to time to play it cause I play my switch a lot I mean SUPER A LOT I don’t pay attention to pc games or PlayStation games I’m more of a Nintendo fan
Okay steam deck can literally emulate all of Nintendo catalog. I'm running wii, n64 gba , 3ds on it with no issu3s. If I wanted I can just by the device that let's me take switch cartridges to make copies for yuzu without having to download them.

@@tech_rank why did you name this video "top in 2024" if on 1st Januray of 2024 it's already outdated by a few months of consoles releases?

Thank you! The Steam Deck has built up an impressive ecosystem that’s going to be hard for others to replicate

If your wifi is good then the g cloud will be fine but if you're just looking for handheld streaming I'd look at the abyxlute

Steam deck OLED better than ROG ally

That’s fair, although the Deck does seem to do a good job of streamlining the gaming interface
The best is the portal, because you need both ps5 and handheld portal to play
*The worst
