I just don't understand why it wasn't in the Inferno tree, considering it's a fire ability. None of the focus abilities make sense in the trees they are in (except for the Reaver one) because of how they restricted them solely to Specializations instead of one in every tree.
Two things Bioware. One, Western Approach does not have night time. That was only in your old Demo. Two. The fort being attacked with a mortar does not exist(also in old demo), there are no mortars in game. So some of the visual effects we see here aren't actually in-game.
Game is amazing - much better than Skyrim. The dialogue is not only better, but the missions have more of a back story :) Half the time in Skyrim you're just wondering about doing missions like some idiot sellsword who never asks questions.
FeistyGreenSnake Funny you wrote that because the main complain regarding DAI is that you spend like 85% of your playing time wondering around and doing an seemingly endless number of the most boring fetch quests.
Most of the effects shown on this video don't exist in the real version of the game. Vivianne doesn't have the magic ability of casting meteors shown here. There is not such a scene where a mortar hits a fortress because there are no mortars in-game. The book reading, while casting spells was only in the Alpha version video that leaked several months ago. Never made it to the actual game. There is no NIGHT time on The Western Approach. This video is really deceiving. It seems intended to attract new customers who will buy this game basing their decision on things that the they won't find in the game because the game don't have them.
I love you DA, but agree with the people commenting--you should use updated video. Not the pre-alpha stuff, to newcomers just coming into the channel or this video etc. they might be disappointed in the final product saying "but they showed ___!!!" It just might be a let down to a lot of people.
Absolutely gorgeous game guys! The amount of detail that was put into creating unique areas, creatures and gear for companions is staggering, especially in the main story quest areas. The design of each area is wonderfully diverse and fun to explore (going from the Exalted Plains to the Emerald Groves for the first time was especially invigorating!). The flourishes and personality added to mage abilities was also exciting and a lot of fun, though I did find that they made fighting/positioning as a dual-wielding rogue inquisitor a little more difficult as enemies would often be clouded by spell effects.
Also, the amount of screenshots I took during Here Lies The Abyss was intense, that area is beautiful! Thanks so much for having an option to turn off the HUD!
Lots of words, but where is the real "creating of" footage? I mean, how exactly do you create those effects? How do you transform static texture and ugly geometrical shapes into FX? I am really curious because DAI have some of the best Visual FX on this generation.
Take this with a pinch of salt. Lot of the clips here are from pre alpha. The game is visually similar, but the clips are old and show content that is not even in the game.
I followed the development of this game with enthusiasm. But here we are viewing old footage that didn't make it into the game? Why? It took money to develop it and to present it. It works in the trailer I don't get it. It's money wasted for something not used and we as gamers get a very watered down version of this game. Bad decisions by those who cut scenes and edit these games. I picture a team of very talented staff having a secret perfect game of dragon age inquisition in their desks just to remind themselves how talented they are and watching a bunch of hacks and wanna bes with no talent spitefully ruining this game. The reason bioware fans and dragon age fans have kept being loyal( this includes myself) is that we see the incredible potential for greatness and it's obvious that there is someone in charge who is determined to undermine it.
How about: "Dragon Age Inquisition Official Video- Creating the DLC" Unsubbing, there's been a long enough wait for additional content. This is ridiculous.
Create some healing magic and maybe i could actually play the game I paid for. The mage seems so underwhelming and boring, I cant bring myself to play the game anymore. The farthest i got was 20-30 hours in and couldnt bring myself to touch it again. I got so bored, the castle seems lifeless, your room is useless, the mage is boring and underwhelming with very few skills. Its just...ugh....i had more fun creating my character like 20 times then i did actually playing the game. Sad too cause i love the DA games and universe. Even DA2 i liked for what it was. But this game...just doesnt seem to have that heart in it. Like the devs put no love or soul into it and just looked at it like some kind of money grab. Every aspect of the game felt limited and cheap. Maybe they have bettered some things since i played, but i wouldnt know cause i cant even look at the icon on my desktop without feeling...let down.
The game starts slow. It picks up a lot as you progress. My bedroom was far from useless thanks to Dorian ;) And you customize the rest of the keep as you play. My first playthrough was a warrior but the mage class is decent compared to the other DA games. And this is the first DA where archers are fun to control. Maybe you backed out too soon. Give it another shot?
The only thing origins has that inquisition didn't have was the origin story for each race and setting, healing magic, and a few specializations, stat points, and sub skills like traps and herbalism besides that I actually liked Inquisition more than Origins
Thomas Medina Choices between letting who goes with you to the final boss battle because those were the only choices that actually mattered in the game or are you talking about character development practically the same as DI or the choice to have a kid or not or let alister have a kid
As far as what people have said so far, I did get a ways into, though not as far as I might have liked. For instance some of what I last remember was things like Morrigan's return. And not being able to find some stupid book in order to do Rift Magic. Lol. But I agree with almost everything said about the game. Its just that those things that are missing takes alot of the choice you feel in the other games away. Like limited skills, no stat points, no healing mage and also a very limited mage overall. (I used my auto attacks as a mage more than any actual spells) Choices that felt lack luster and had little to no effect on anything. etc. Not to mention for those who followed the game since it was announced there was so much that was said about the game that never made it in. Taking over forts, No time sensitive events where helping one group of people meant you didnt help another. and other things like that. Put it this way, the game is very polarizing, in that if I had to put this game into say...game award categories...it would be: "Biggest Let down of the Year" "Most Unrealized Potential of the Year" And weirdly enough.... "Game of the Year" Cause even with all its faults, its still the best game that came out last year. Which is actually pretty sad.
Me too... Playing this game on Xbox 360 is just sad. On the pc it looks so fantastic. I mean, Cullen or Leliana's face look nice on pc. That's always nice, isn't it? Great game still, though! We'll play it on ultra some day, don't you worry ;)
When I play game I like, I dont care about graphics, I care about, characters (leliana, varic, hawke, alistair ftw) and gameplay. But yeah 360 looks realy bad, some of the stuffs are cut off. For example I am walking to Haven chantry and I hear ppl screaming, yet I see only Cullen nad Roderick
I didn't like the visuals of this game too much... Well scenery WAS nice, but otherwise naw. (still a game of the year for me) This said, visuals don't mean anything to me really. I can overlook them easily if the game is good. Visuals are nothing more than a passing wonder for me. It takes me about hour to get over the visuals on a game. After that I don't pay attention to them anymore.
Vivienne can't cast the Meteor Storm. It's a Rift Mage ability. Solas or the Inquisitor. XD
I mean, that was really old Pre-Alpha footage. Probably back before it was all locked down.
I just don't understand why it wasn't in the Inferno tree, considering it's a fire ability. None of the focus abilities make sense in the trees they are in (except for the Reaver one) because of how they restricted them solely to Specializations instead of one in every tree.
And I feel like it doesn't even look as epic as it does in the pre alpha footage aswell wtf

WE NEED STORY DLC PLEASE!!
Adding visual flavor to the world of Thedas!
all the effects are really nice to look, Keep it up:)
dragon age inquisition is one of the best games in 14 and 15
Great to see how the game we can barely play in multiplayer was made...
Game is amazing - much better than Skyrim. The dialogue is not only better, but the missions have more of a back story :) Half the time in Skyrim you're just wondering about doing missions like some idiot sellsword who never asks questions.

I suppose that all these interviews have been recorded in one time only: Lucy wears always the same pretty clothes! XD
Anyway thanks for these videos!
Stop showing pre-release footage! You're confusing the hell out of people!

the book reading is still in the game some of the enemy mages do that

This video should share Yahtzees' Dragon Age Inquisition review, particularly when he speaks about the graphics.
> what visual effects might occur that we might not really notice as being visual effects
In a video game.
OH HEY LOOK. ITS LUCY JAMES!
Lots of words, but where is the real "creating of" footage? I mean, how exactly do you create those effects? How do you transform static texture and ugly geometrical shapes into FX? I am really curious because DAI have some of the best Visual FX on this generation.
Honestly best game ever worth every $
Wait none of these visuals have this in the game, why in the world would you say it had them?
I'm confused, does anyone know which scene 1:43 is? I've played through the game and can't recall that happening.
It was shown in the pre-alpha version, but it's not in the actual game. Devs do that often, some sort of demo to show what the game may look like.
Robin Goupil Oh, thank you for answering! :)
Nora Donett
You're welcome =)
waiting for wolf hunt dlc.
i have never seen the place in 1.45 is that deleted or?
is anyone having a problem of online login coz im trying to import save from da dragon age keep but unable to login in game
Unsubscribing. I'll be back if we ever get DLC. So in a year or so.
ok bye
We won't miss ya buddy!
Camo Red Black Emporium is likely coming in March, and that may signal the start of larger DLC (March? April? May somehow, latest?).
***** I would prefer taht to be in DA4, since Elven Gods are my favourite mysteries in DA (havent read much books, so it migha ctualy be not mystery)
Trailer for new DLC: Jaws of Hakkon released tomorrow.
Take this with a pinch of salt. Lot of the clips here are from pre alpha. The game is visually similar, but the clips are old and show content that is not even in the game.

Yeah? You know what, you dont have that fire ulti in the actual game, they have fXXked your design

AntiTMG And actual choices that matter.

Dlc, Dlc, dlc! Pwease?
Really wish i could appreciate this games visuals but the 360 version is just so shit. I still played the hell out of it but, you know.
I'm sure someone will
