Very good instructional video, I am the owner and builder of the Barn Rod that has a 5 horse John Lauson. Looking for a Baby Lauson to show with my truck.
@@Robgill2008 thanks I'm getting ready to start putting together my first engine John Deere 1 1/2 HP got all my parts from Mitch Malcolm just waiting on my Mag to come back from rebuilt mags
dale faurot if you have difficulty with it starting after you get the mag on it. Look at the timing on the mag in relation to when the igniter is actually opening the points. They mag needs to be set just right to when the points open. There is adjustment on the trip finger on the pushrod for some fine tuning to get them “synchronized.”
Never put ure thumb around a handle always keep it on same side as ure fingers ive seen broken wrists and broken thumbs from doing this. Even a small engine can get you
Hi Jim. There is a large swap meet in Portland Indiana every year in October. There is also a Lauson group on Facebook. And, of course, there is always eBay.
Love these videos with you and your dad 💜
