  • Opening night spectacle including fireworks launching The Greenwich Festivals 2010 was presented in association with Greenwich Dance. This opening night dance extravaganza could have you rubbing your eyes in disbelief as Catalan choreographer Toni Mira, creates gravity-defying magic in the grounds of the National Maritime Museum. For one night only, Greenwich's iconic Queen's House will be transformed into a giant playhouse for 10 local dancers, accompanied by exquisite imagery from film maker Roswitha Chesher. Previously only seen in Barcelona and Granada, Toni Mira's innovative concept receives its UK premiere at GDIF, in a brand new production created specially for the Festival's opening night.
    the Great Hall's geometrically-patterned black-and-white marble floor and The elegant Tulip Stairs in the Queen's House, the first geometric self-supporting spiral stair in Britain was highlighted on 3D display.
    This is a part of Big Dance 2010 Commissioned by GDIF in association with Greenwich Dance.
