- High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) is a process to apply very dense, strongly adhered coatings. These coatings are commonly used as a hard chrome replacement process and produce very dense, hard wearing coatings.

Looks like a intricate process...suppose you did not want to coat the entire part how would you prevent an area from being coated?...find it hard to believe masking tape will hold up...

look at abomb79's work. he is a machinist that specializes in rebuilding so the answer is yes. He sprays and machines to size. its freaking amazing what he can do in a home shop

Aircraft jet engine , compresor vanes sealing area .it will increase resistance againts wear , 80 percent of jet engine rotating parts are been thermal sprayed using special metal coating . for industrial application like pump shaft rebuilding bearing seat wear section back to standard dimension . This will save cost and downtime to customers

0,005 - 2 mm
minimum = 5µm and maximum = 2 mm

Oxigenul : 10 bar si Propan (nu acetilena) : 6,2 bar, viteza jetului > 2000 m/s, viteza particulelor cca 700 m/s
Oxigenul se incarca la 200 bar, acetilena la circa 2-3 bar; 12.000 psi este taria (valoarea) aderentei
Nu este oxigen si acetilena (acetilena nu poate fi incarcata in tuburi simple) sunt tuburi de oxigen la 150 bari si propan la 7 bari. In proces se foloseste o presiune de 10 bari la oxigen si 10 bari propan. Nu sugeram alte presiuni
