    This song came out in 1983. I was only 18 years old, but I'll never forget this song. Rest in peace, Gabriel S. Hardeman Jr.

      And I think I was around 13. Those were the days...I miss them..Me and my sister was placed in a foster home and we used to attend a bapist church were we practiced this song in the chior their...looking back I feel a certain sacred spirit and I wish I could go back.

      I was born in 1997 and this song almost made me cry at work. The last time I heard this song I was about 9 years old.

    SPIRIT FILLED, first heard this song at DELIVERANCE on Broad St, Philly, young boy in choir was on f I r e singing this for Pastor Smith, many saved that day.

    i was in kindergarten when this came out, but i knew the words and the melody. i"m from Philly so i feel extra special when i hear this song. lol. this is a classic and still one of my all-time favorites. i literally grew up on this.

    @gospellin thank you for posting this song on youtube. Me and my niece who grew up together always sing this version and i am glad i finally found it. We use to sing this in the choir when we were like 7 or 8 years old.

    I know he had some health challenges eariler in the year, but he was the forunner of the modern choir sound which Donald Lawence and others has done with their groups.
